I started hanging out with Tomiko more often.

She was an angel, her voice was soft. Her laugh is sweet and her smile warms me. She is perfect. My feelings for her became stronger and I couldn't handle it anymore.

I have to confess to her.

We were going to meet at a picnic place and I would confess then and there. I wrapped the blanket we were going to lay on around the basket filled with food we were going to eat.

I made these food and to be honest I did pretty good. I was driving to a hill with a nice view of the sunset. We were going to eat at 6.

I arrived at the place and started going up the small hill. I placed down the basket, unknotting the blanket. I slipped it off the basket and laid it down on the grassy floor. I picked up a few rocks and placed them on the corners of the blanket.

I put the basket over the blanket and peacefully waited for Tomiko. I was nervous and excited at the same time, I was curious for her answer.

I looked at the sunset and thoughts ran through my mind.

Y/n.

My eyes softened after remembering her. I wonder what she's doing right now. I still feel bad for her, but I've moved on. I think.

"Rin!" I hear a feminine voice call out to me.

I look to the left of me to see Tomiko. I smile at her and get up to help her get on top of the hill. I jog to her and hold her hand to steadily get her up.

She mumbles a small thank you when we got up. "A picnic?" she asks.

I nod, "Mhm. I told you, it'll be a surprise." I pause for a second, "Let's eat?"

She nods happily.

I grab the basket and open one of the sides. I pick out her favorite foods and set them down in front of her.

Her eyes sparkled at the food, "You knew my favorite food?"

I nod and smile, "Well, yeah, you always talk about them."

"True." she says, grabbing it.

She bites down on it and I watch her happily eating it. I open the right side of the basket and pick up my food that I packed for myself. I bit down on it and started a conversation with her.

𝟲:𝟭𝟳𝗣𝗠, 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬

I grab her trash and place them inside the basket. I do the same with my food. We just sat there in comfortable silence, admiring the sunset.

I look to the left and see the sun shining on her pretty face. I smile softly again, what is this feeling. My eyes widened, remembering what I was suppose to do.

"Hey, uh, Tomiko?" I stutter.

She looks at me with curiosity, "Hm?"

"I have a question to ask you."

"Go right ahead." she smiles.

I prepare myself for about 3 seconds and continue, "I know this is out of the blue, but feelings for you..." I say, embarrassed. I felt my face heating up and it was visible to Tomiko. "Would you like to become my girlfriend?"

I waited for her response.

I heard those words coming out of Rin's mouth and I was shocked. It all makes sense now, he wanted to be at a presentable place tp confess to me.

I do like him, but

Y/n.

I saw him not making eye contact with me and looking at the ground. I want to say yes, but her. Y/n is a sweet girl.

We've grown closer over Facetime and she's funny too. I'm betraying a friend, but maybe she doesn't like Rin anymore...

I want to say yes but guilt will over come me.

I want to say yes,

and I did.

"Sure, Rin." I said, keeping eye contact.

He looked up to me in shock, I was flustered too.

He started leaning into me, while I did the same. We were close enough to feel each other's breath.

"Is..is this okay?" He hesitantly asked.

I nodded.

He leaned in more and kissed me, I kissed him back. A big wave of guilt rushed over me, but I liked the kiss too. Many things were running through my mind.

He pulled away and smiled at me.

I pulled away from the kiss and smiled at her. I was keeping eyes contact with her for a long time and I saw her eyes. They looked sad, but happy at the same time. Her smile covered it up though. I was confused on why her expression was liked that, but she said yes.

She grabbed my face and leaned in for another kiss. Since I was in shock my eyes were open in the kiss. I slowly closed them and kissed her back again.

Y/n.

Why was she crossing my mind at a moment that I hoped for, for a long time. I wanted to pull away because the thought of Y/n, but I wanted to keep going for Tomiko.

She pulled away first and looked at the sun setting. I looked in that direction too and was going through to many emotions in that moment.

The scenery made the both of us sleepy. My eyes drooped down and shot back up.

I looked back at her, "Shall we go?' I ask.

She nods her head gently, "Sure."

We both get up and take off the rocks, off the blanket. We fold the blanket and she gives it to me. I grab the basket and put it over the blanket. I hold it in one hand and grab hers so she goes down the hill without falling.

She hold my hand tightly and we walk down the hill, going to our cars. I walk her over to her car and open the door for her. She goes in and has her window open so I can talk to her.

"Get home safely." I say to her.

She smiles at me, "Thanks, Rin. You too."

I stop leaning on her car and she pulls out of the parking lot. I watch her leave and I get into my car to take my leave too.

"You fool! Why did you accept." I yell at myself. I look at myself guilty, "Y/n." I whisper to myself.
