"Hey Bad?" Dream's concerned voice echoed through the headphones.
"Yeah, sorry," Darryl sighed, ever since that night he's been trying, and he means trying, desperately to forgive Skeppy for what he's done. Yet nothing has happened. Darryl hasn't made his move, neither has Skeppy up till this moment.
"You should call him," Dream suggested.
"What would you want me to say?" Darryl whined, even if he could forgive Skeppy he wouldn't want to risk anything after that. Would he?
"That if he screws up again he can forget about you and the SMP," Dream replied.
"You know you're cornering him by dragging the rest of the SMP in right?" Darryl concluded.
"Well technically we're teaching him a lesson," Dream muttered bluntly.
"Right," Darryl hesitated. "Should I tell him now? I mean it's been days."
"Whatever suits you. If you wanna do it now go ahead, if you wanna do it later be my guest. I'm not gonna say anything," Dream chuckled.
"Aw, c'mon you gotta help me with this," Darryl complained.
"Why should I?" He asked, arching his eyebrow.
"I can see you, stop it," Darryl huffed as Dream burst into laughter.
"Okay, do you wanna go ahead and call him?" He scratched his neck observing Darryl.
"Are you gonna stay on?" Darryl shook his hands back and forth.
"Maybe, maybe not," he grinned notably.
"Alright, here goes nothing," Darryl rolled his eyes watching George join.
"LET'S GO BAD!" George yelled.
The tense silence filled his headphones. He wasn't especially happy about the silence but it made him think of Skeppy, what would've happened if Darryl didn't forgive him? What would Skeppy be doing? He let the thoughts slide as he clicked the green call button and waited for Skeppy to pick up.
"Hey, this is Zak what's up?" Skeppy's voice cheerfully greeted through the headsets.
"Skeppy...?" Darryl muttered clutching the phone roughly.
"Bad? What do you think?" Skeppy jumped into it immediately.
"Well, I thought over it," Darryl paused.
"And?" Skeppy asked curiously.
"I'll let you slide this time," Darryl smiled.
"Really?! Oy my god! Yeah, thank you so mu-."
"Don't make me regret it Skeppy," Darryl sighed.
"Sure, mhmm, of course. God, I'm so happy now! Can I come over? I wanna tell you what I've been up to," Skeppy childish voice filled the empty void in his head.
"I don't see why not," Darryl chuckled, unplugging his headphones from the monitor.
"Alright see you there soon," Darryl subconsciously felt Skeppy wave to the phone as Darryl cut the call.
"YOU DID IT!" George yelled.
"YOU FUCKING DID IT!" Dream shouted.
"Language! And yes I did it," Darryl rested his hand on the nape of his neck.
"You should probably go," Dream pointed out.
"Yeah, I kinda should," Darryl waited. "Thank you, I'll see both of you soon."
"Don't worry, we'll make sure of it," George grinned as both of them logged off.
'Make sure of it? Are they trying to scare me away?' Darryl laughed at that thought. He finally felt safe, he could see Skeppy, he could hear Skeppy but the most important part of it was, Skeppy was there. Right in front of him and this time, no one will tear them apart.
She is drunk on old cartoons
Liquid TV afternoons
Sometimes it makes me laugh
Sometimes it makes me sad
Darryl rubbed his head before hearing the ring of the doorbell to his flat.
He walked slowly towards the door, organizing everything as he passed them by. His house was a mess, yet he didn't seem to care, even if Skeppy was about to enter the house. He didn't mind Skeppy seeing his messy house, he didn't mind at all. But why?
"Hey, Skeppy!" Darryl waved letting Skeppy walk into his house.
"Call me Zak off-screen," Skeppy took off his shoes and turned around, Darryl was practically leaning on the door when Skeppy turned to face him.
"Right," Darryl brought his gaze to his white socks before looking back up at Skeppy.
"So? Where's the most secure place in your house?"
"Excuse me?"
"They're gonna see us, "Skeppy glared at the windows, his expression filled with paranoia.
"Who's gonna see us?" Darryl glanced quizzically at Skeppy.
"Who else?" he took out his phone and pointed to a number.
Oh, mouthed Darryl as he continued to close the blinds wherever there were windows.
"Your room..." Skeppy touched the bed frame slowly before sitting down on the unorganized sheets.
Darryl's room was not in good shape but it wasn't in an out-of-order condition either. His bed was not made, books and papers scattered across his desk and his monitor was whirring since he went to open the door for Skeppy.
"Nothing much," Darryl shrugged, letting out a shaky breath. He carefully made his way past Skeppy's legs and onto the other side of the bed, positioning himself right next to him.
They were so close, the feeling of warmth, safety, and care blanketed Darryl as he crossed his legs and continued to look at the switch on the monitor in front of him.
"First impression?" Skeppy and Darryl laughed. "God I missed you so much," Skeppy fell back on the bed watching Darryl's face turn light pink.
"You missed me? Wow, that's rather hard to believe," Darryl pushed his hair out of his face.
"I really did," Skeppy got up and moved closer. "I can prove it, would you like me to show you?" Darryl could feel Skeppy's breath. Darryl adjusted his shirt before remarking Skeppy's ability to make him blush.
"Oh really?" Darryl teased.
"Wasn't I supposed to tell you something?" Skeppy scratched his head.
"I don't really remember," Darryl chuckled sweetly.
"Oh well, did anything fun while I was gone?" Skeppy carried the conversation.
"Nothing fun unless you consider crying something fun," Darryl hung his head heavily.
Skeppy was shoulder to shoulder with Darryl right before he did the most wide-eyed thing Darryl could think of.
Skeppy embraced Darryl in a warm hug, that was it.
"Zak..." his voice melted into the feeling of being wanted, the feeling of being needed. The feeling of Skeppy wanting to be there with him.
That was all he needed to continue...
