Kellin left Vic's house faster than he came over. He was upset, angry, sad, any negative emotion someone could think of is what Kellin felt in this moment. How dare he talk to him as if the media didn't drag him to dirt whenever they interacted?
Then again, that was the only time Vic ever was talked badly about in the media. It was unfair really, the fact that Vic was treated like a god, as if he wasn't a jerk and good for nothing asshole. Kellin took a deep breath when he got into his car before he turned it on and drove away from the two story house.
He tried to let the hurt and anger go but, it only grew the more he thought of it. So, in hopes to calm down he called out to Siri and told it to call one of the few people he knew that could turn his sour mood around. "Well well well, if it isn't my little Kell bell," the voice said once he picked up the call.
Kellin rolled his eyes and continued to drive, "Hey Jesse."
"Hey Jesse? That's all you gotta say to your best friend that you IGNORED at your party?" Jesse said and Kellin sighed since he knew he was going to be having this conversation specifically with Jesse.
"You know I didn't mean to. I wasn't having a great time," the poor lead singer explained and Jesse hummed before he let out a soft chuckle, "What?"
"Nothing, it's okay Kells I know what happened, Oli filled Andy and me in," Jesse explained and Kellin sighed again but in relief this time. While his band knew every single thing, the other group of friends Kellin had barely knew a little bit about it. "And I'm assuming something happened today, so what's wrong, babes?"
If Jesse could see Kellin right now, he'd make fun of the look he gave at the phone. Kellin never understood how Jesse could just tell that something was wrong, it was a little creepy. It almost felt like he installed a camera in his car or something.
"I'm assuming I'm right so... what's up? Tell daddy what's wrong," he said making Kellin laugh.
"Daddy? Really?" He questioned his friend, "What happened to mama?"
Jesse sighed and Kellin could hear the shift in his voice, "Zach said I can't have anyone call me mama because he only gets to call me mama." That's when Kellin let out the loudest laugh he'd let out in a while. He couldn't stop laughing just because he knew that wasn't true.
Zach, Jesse's longtime boyfriend, didn't care about what Jesse called himself or what others called him. If it made the crazy guy happy then Jesse was all for it. "Alright now tell me the real reason," Kellin said after his laughter calmed down.
"Fine, mama is out... so last week... anyway, doesn't matter so what happened dude?" Jesse said, going back to the conversation at hand. Kellin didn't wanna talk about it necessarily, didn't want to tell anyone that one of his best friends planned a trip for them all to get along better. Not only was that the dumbest idea ever but, Kellin would rather shove a cactus up his nose.
"Ugh... it's nothing just Nico invited me over and-"
"Did you and Vic fight again?" Jesse asked and his tone made Kellin laugh a little since he sounded surprised.
"You know we did," Kellin replied as he made a turn on a green light. He was already heading towards Jesse's place since this was initially the reason he was calling, "Can I come over?"
"Yeah sure, Zach isn't here so you can talk shit about Vic all you want," Jesse said, making Kellin giggle. Zach was close friends with Vic for some reason. Kellin never understood how or why that happened since Zach was such a sweet and kindhearted person.
Vic was not.
"Want me to invite the other two?" Kellin thought about it. Did he really want his two other close friends around while he trash-talked his ex? "Actually never mind I'll invite them. I need booze and they're my best bet and you can't say no so byeeeeee."
Before Kellin could even reply Jesse hung up. Kellin only rolled his eyes and continued to drive while Jesse took it upon himself to text their groupchat. The chat consisted of Kellin, Jesse, Oliver, and of course Andy Biersack. It was a weird bunch if you thought about it from an outsiders point of view. But, the group came together relatively normal and almost unsurprisingly.

By the time Kellin was close enough to Jesse's house, he could only listen to his phone that buzzed with messages. He could only imagine what Jesse told them, so quickly, at a red light Kellin grabbed his phone off the charging port and clicked on the message notifications.
He chuckled seeing the messages and felt excited now. He hadn't hung out with all of them together in months. While he loved his band dearly, it was nice hanging out with friends that didn't feel the need to walk on eggshells around him as much as they did.
So, before the light could change, he sent a quick text and set his phone down. He saw that Andy and Oliver texted back at the same time making him roll his eyes. Then he giggled softly when Jesse responded. He stopped staring at his phone and continued driving when the light turned green.

Kellin arrived at Jesse's place only 5 minutes after he let them know he was close. Of course since Kellin had a head start, he was the first to arrive. Jesse and Zach lived in a lavish apartment building, they didn't think that they needed the large space and decided to live in a beautiful apartment with an amazing view of the Los Angeles area.
Kellin always loved visiting Jesse because the elevator he would take would take him straight into Jesse's apartment. It was convenient and it let Kellin instantly walk in to go flop onto the couch in the middle of their living room. "Jesse I'm here!" The lead singer yelled out, he hoped Jesse heard since his voice came out muffled.
"Dude, I'm literally sitting across from you. I know you're here," Kellin heard Jesse say which made him lift himself up to look towards the side Jesse was supposed to be. He in fact was there laying on the loveseat couch they had. "Didn't even say hello, god damn, dude."
Kellin smiled sheepishly at the guitarist, "Sorry..."
"Yeah yeah... anyway missed you," Jesse said as he stood up and stretched a little letting Kellin know that he'd most likely been laying on that couch for awhile. "How was the tour?"
Kellin smiled. It was the first time someone actually asked him about their tour. "It was fucking amazing, sold out every day? God... it was just... so insane," Kellin said with bright eyes and a huge smile. One thing everyone knew about Kellin is he absolutely adored his job. He adored the fans, the music, touring, everything about it.
Jesse always made sure to always ask Kellin how he was and how his career is doing. Although he knew, since he kept up with news about his close friend, and he lived in the musician lifestyle. So, it was always nice to hear someone take interest in that. "I'm glad dude, you guys really deserve it after all the hard work you do."
Kellin smiled and sat up properly on the couch, "Thanks... anyway I've been gone for what? Two months? How have you and Zach been? And the band?... you guys just finished a sold out tour too right? That's amazing!"
Jesse rolled his eyes and waved off the comment before sitting back on the couch, deeming it was long enough that he was standing, "We've been fine and well the bands just working ya know? Gotta keep making records... think we're gonna tour again soon."
"Aww but I just came back," Kellin said with a pout.
"Hey, it's not my fault we decided to be famous rockstars," he said with a grin making Kellin laugh. While the two were catching up, the rest of the group had arrived. Andy of course brought the drinks as per request of Jesse and Oliver came empty handed since all he was worried about was Kellin at the moment.
He'd been worried since the other day that he left him, although he didn't want to, to handle the dumb tweet Alt Press posted the other day by himself. But Kellin was stubborn and would rarely if ever let anyone see him upset or angry. So, when Jesse mentioned being a punching bag, Oliver couldn't help but think something happened between Kellin and Vic again.
"There's my favorite boys!" Jesse said from the couch seeing the two remaining friends walk in. Kellin turned and smiled at them and waved. "Andy you brought my happy juice! Ugh I knew you were my favorite work wife."
"Yeah about that. When did our groupchat name change to that?" Kellin asked as him and Jesse got up from the couch to help Andy with the drinks. The taller man had brought more than he was able to carry and Oliver being the kind and understanding man that he was, did not help him at all.
"It was after they performed on Corden's show, me and Oli went to go cheer them on and Jesse called us his work wives or some shit," Andy explained as he let Kellin and Jesse carry some of the liquor he brought.
"We've worked with each other for decades! How dare you say this is a recent thing!?" Jesse exclaimed as he lead the train of men carrying liquor into his kitchen. Oliver followed behind Kellin before he grabbed the pack from the shortest of them and carried it into the kitchen.
"Anyway, what's this 'meeting' about?" Andy asked placing the pack that he carried alongside Jesse and Oliver onto the island in the middle. Kellin hopped on top of one of the empty counters in the kitchen and started to swing his legs, "Did something happen, Kells?"
"Mm, nothing important."
"Bullshit," Jesse said when he opened his fridge to start putting the bottles in, "You and Vic had a fight again now spill. What was it about?"
Kellin groaned and rolled his eyes a little at Jesse bringing it up. Yes this was the reason why Jesse called this "meeting" but it didn't mean Kellin wanted to talk about it. There was no reason to, after all he said no and Nicholas was just going to have to respect that. "Was it about the party?" Andy asked, leaning over the island.
Kellin shook his head, "No... it was nothing really."
"Well, it must be something if it's bothering you," Oliver said finally. He was standing close by Kellin, leaning against one the many empty counters glancing over at the lead singer. "If you don't wanna talk about it, it's fine but, maybe talking about it could help you stop being bothered by it."
"It was just a stupid argument...," Kellin huffed a little knowing he wouldn't be able to keep it from them for long. After all the only other person, aside from his band, he tells everything to is in this kitchen. "Nico thought it'd be a good idea to plan a trip with the three of us so Vic and I could get along."
The kitchen was quiet for a second before Jesse started to laugh. Oliver instantly glared over at the singer making him put his hands up in defense as he tried to sober up his laughter, "I-I'm sorry but... holy shit is he dumb?"
"Jesse," Andy sighed rolling his eyes, "While a trip isn't going to help smooth whatever happened between them, I don't blame Nicholas for trying."
Andy, the middle ground, was almost always on both sides. After all, he worked with both of them on the set of the TV show Kellin and Nicholas met on. He had a sweet spot for Kellin more so than Nicholas but, he still tried to see things from the perspective of the curly haired boy as well.
"I don't either but, it's just dumb.." Kellin said with a shrug, "I don't even wanna go but, anyways, I told Nico I'd rather be dragged by the media constantly than to go on a trip with that asshole and he had the audacity to say I do anyway because I love the attention."
The more Kellin talked about it the more he got angry. "It was so fucking uncalled for especially since he gets dragged through the mud too," Kellin huffed out as he crossed his arms. Oliver felt bad, since he did know a little more than the rest in this kitchen, and he knew the outcome of this situation. Kellin would sadly give in.
And he couldn't stop that.
"Well, he's a dick but, I do think maybe you should think it over a little more," Andy said, making Jesse and Oliver look at him. The taller one put his hands up quickly in defense, "Look I know how this sounds but, they're getting married Kellin."
"I know but-"
"Don't you want to try a little at least? To be able to put everything in the past and move on? Not just for Nico's sake but for yours too?" Andy asked and Kellin thought about it. Weirdly enough Jesse started to agree with the actor.
"I mean... he's kind of right," Jesse started to back up Andy now that he thought of it, "Maybe doing this could help you move on? It's not healthy to always be constantly butting heads with someone you hate and caused you pain."
Kellin sighed a little. This was not how he thought this conversation would turn out to be. He hoped that they'd back him up and call the idea stupid and reassure him that saying no to his best friend was a good idea. "We're not saying you gotta like the dude, but at least try to be civil with him," Andy continued. And he hated how right he sounded.
"I don't know..." Kellin mumbled and looked over to Oliver for his opinion, "What do you think?"
Oliver mulled over the question for a bit before finally answering, "I think... I'll support you in whatever decision you take. I get what the guys are saying but, do you really wanna deal with going on a trip with a guy you hate?"
"Well no..."
"Yeah but, don't you wanna at least try to put the past... in the past?" Jesse asked closing the fridge and leaning against it, "Plus, it's not like it's just going to be you and Vic, Nico would be there."
Kellin tugged at his lip for a bit thinking it over. Did he really want to do this? Should he ask more people? Andy and Jesse were thinking it was a good idea but, Oliver didn't think it was... well he didn't really have an opinion on it.
"If you do say yes..." Oliver finally started to say something after the awkward silence that started between them, "You've got us... we'll always go to you if you need anything or if Vic becomes unbearable."
And that really was all the push Kellin needed. To know he wasn't going to be alone in this. Was he still hesitant? Entirely. But, knowing that his friends would be there the minute he called felt reassuring enough. And who knows, maybe this would end up helping Kellin finally move on from everything.
"Okay... I guess I'll text Nico later then."

Once Kellin came home, it was pretty late at night but, he still decided to text Nicholas and get it over with. He would just have to talk to his band about it later but, he needed to do this for Nicholas. And more importantly for himself.
Hopefully he did the right thing.
