Hermione Pov
They come into the Common Room and gasp "Cor, Hermione, you've got a nice setup here."
"Granger says it's because I'm a milksop," Draco remarks. "Even after the war, the school allows me to be mollycoddled."
"Shut up, Malfoy," Ron groans.
"Mya, tell your guests to be more polite," Draco calls. "This is my dorm as well."
"Your welcome to go to your bedroom, Dray, I'm sure my guests won't go in there."
"But I want someone there to make sure I don't die or I don't know, turn purple."
"But if it is poisoned or hexed, I would be the person who did it," I remind him as Harry and Ron stare between us.
"But you have..."
"...A bleeding Gryffindor heart," I finish rolling my eyes.
"How did you do that?" Ron asks in shock.
"Malfoy's level of predictability is very high," I explain. "He wakes up at 7 am everyday and changes his clothes and uses the bathroom, if I'm not awake by 7:15 he comes knocking, I get up, he takes the mick out of my bed hair and leaves for breakfast, he also expects me to be in the Great Hall by 7:30 and back here at 9pm sharp so we can start our rounds even if he plans to blag them off."
"I'm not that methodological," Draco protests. "I just have a system that I ever so kindly adapted around you."
"Since when are you in charge of what Hermione does and doesn't do?" Ron growls.
"Ron?!" I exclaim.
"He can't boss you around Hermione," Harry snarls. "Who does he think he is?"
"I'm Draco freaking Malfoy," Draco says standing up. "That's who I know I am."
"Draco," I say desperately. "Please calm down. Eat up the pancake it's going to go cold."
"Then heat it up, Mya," he retorts. "You're the one who let them in here."
"THAT'S IT!" Ron exclaims as he storms over to Draco and grabs his shirt. "STOP ORDERING HER ABOUT LIKE SHE'S A HOUSE ELF."
"Ronald," I exclaim.
"Ooh, bad word choice, Weasley," Draco chuckles. "Even I know not to diss her house elves."
Ron raises his fist ready to punch Draco, I run in between them and pull them apart and grab his fist. "Harry can you take Ron back to the Gryffindor Tower, he needs to calm down."
"I don't need to calm down," Ron growls.
"Yes you do," I say. "You're about to punch the Headboy."
"Yeah come on, Ron. We'll go and test out some Bertie Botts."
"Shut up Harry!" Ron yells. "Why are you defending him, 'Mione? He's the one giving you Hell, he's the one who bullied you, he's the one who watched you get tortured, he's a bloody Deatheater."
I feel Draco grip the back of my dress, his ring feels ice cold. Draco's hurt. His heart is aching.
"Ron..."
Suddenly, I see Ron's other hand form a fist and his arm swing forward. I barely have half second to process the moment then I use the other half to push Draco out of the way only to get caught in the crossfire as the fist collides with my head.
I hear the three boys call out my name but I black out.
