The greenette sat in the audience watching the love of his life receive the crown of the kingdom he built from ash. When the ceremony ended Izuku stood up and applauded the blonde on becoming a king, everyone in the room did the same. Katsuki stood proudly at the front holding his head high as the crown laid on his spiky blonde hair, he smiled at the greenette in the front row.
The room was dismissed and Katsuki walked down the stairs from the stage he was on. He walked over and grabbed the greenette, he quickly kissed him. "How do you feel being in love with a king now?" Katsuki teased making the greenette chuckle.
"I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have a perfect king as a lover," Izuku smiled as Katsuki smirked.
"Damn right you are!" Katsuki shouted as people surrounded them congratulating the blonde on becoming king. Izuku just stood there as he held Katsuki's hand but then he stiffened.
An individual with white and red hair sat in the back staring at Izuku, this made the greenette panic a bit. He closed his eyes as he tried to keep his breathing under control, he opened his eyes again. He was gone, it didn't even look like anyone sat there.
Izuku let out his breath he was unconsciously holding in, he stepped a bit closer to Katsuki. Katsuki released his hand from the greenette's and put his arm around the smaller's shoulders. "You're okay, I'm here Izu," Katsuki whispered to him.
For the past few months, Izuku has been hallucinating the prince of the Todoroki kingdom, Shoto Todoroki. There were times that he could tell it was a hallucination and there were times he couldn't. Katsuki figured out he was having hallucinations after Izuku's second one since that one felt real to the greenette. Izuku was panicking and trying to tell Katsuki that Shoto was in the castle but the blonde saw nothing, on the other hand, the greenette was seeing Shoto in the hallway.
Katsuki tried to help Izuku himself but failed, he then took Izuku to a dragon in his kingdom that was known to help people with mental illnesses. His name was Shota Aizawa, his tactics may be a bit on the harsh side but he gives his clients their desired results. His dragon form is also what he's known for, he's a rare dragon that is entirely pitch black. No dragon is just one color, their stomachs are usually a different color that goes with their overall color.
Katsuki explained everything to Aizawa while Izuku remained silent, Aizawa's response was logical. "Obviously from Midoriya's trauma with his experiences with prince Shoto it has caused these hallucinations. It won't be an easy path for Midoriya if he wants to get rid of these hallucinations, he'll have to get over the past and the fears he's holding onto. I can work with him on this but it'll take time, hallucinations aren't easy to get rid of especially when it comes from trauma. Are you willing to work with me on this Midoriya?"
Izuku looked at Katsuki for reassurance, the blonde nodded. "I want to get rid of these hallucinations as fast as possible, so please do what you can," Izuku responded, after that Katsuki asked Izuku to leave the room so he could talk with Aizawa alone.
"I have two questions for you," Katsuki said to Aizawa, Aizawa waited for Katsuki to go on. "My first one is that if Izuku sees the real prince Shoto would he be able to tell if he were real or a hallucination?"
"A valid question, it depends on how vivid his hallucinations are. If they down to the last detail of prince Shoto then he wouldn't be able to tell if he was real or not," Aizawa told Katsuki.
Katsuki then asked his second question, "What can I do to help Izuku?"
"Taking him to me was the first thing to help him, the second is you being there for him. If he knows he is loved and has someone there for him, it'll help the process a lot more compared to if he was alone. If he were to be alone the hallucinations could drive him crazy and he could lose his sanity, a very possible outcome could be suicide. He's very lucky to have you with him though," Aizawa said, Katsuki nodded and then left.
Since then Izuku has been getting help from Aizawa and whenever Izuku got a hallucination he would run and find Katsuki. If Katsuki was already there Izuku would just say "S" and Katsuki would quickly hug the greenette.
Aizawa's assistance was surely helping Izuku, Izuku's hallucinations went from every day to at least one every week. At the coronation, it was a hallucination and luckily it wasn't a long hallucination either. "Do you want to see Aizawa after the celebration?" Katsuki asked Izuku once everyone left him alone with the greenette.
"Maybe tomorrow, we still have to make the announcement right?" Izuku said and Katsuki quickly nodded.
"You're right, come on let's go enjoy the celebration," Katsuki said as he removed his arm from Izuku's shoulders and grabbed his hand instead. Izuku smiled up at Katsuki as they walked out of the hall they had the coronation in, they then made it to the front doors of the castle. They could hear the cheers from outside the doors.
"You ready?" Izuku asked the blonde. The blonde nodded but before he told the guards to open the doors he grabbed Izuku by his waist, he passionately kissed Izuku. Izuku was surprised for a moment but kissed the king back instantly, when Katsuki pulled away he brought the greenette into a hug.
"I needed motivation," Katsuki said as his excuse for his actions.
"Sure, for motivation," Izuku said not fully believing the blonde.
"Come on, give me credit. I just had to stand in front of half the kingdom and receive a crown while promising to protect everyone in the kingdom. I deserve a kiss from my lovely bunny," Katsuki said as Izuku chuckled.
"Fine, now get out there," Izuku said as he looked at the guards in front of the doors. "Open the doors please," the guards nodded and opened the doors.
