I turned into my fox form and ran to the forbidden forest
I didn't want to talk to anyone, Fred scolding me right after Ron did was the final push over the edge for me
I ran around for hours, I could occasionally hear wolves howling in the forest
That used to scare me growing up, but as a fox I am no threat to them
I found a small cave to dwell in for the night
It was Sunday now, around 2 am is what I would assume by looking at the moon's shadow on the small pond in front of me
I'll stay out here all night just to get some peace from everyone yelling at me
Fred's POV
"Electra??"
I slammed my hands into her shield
She blocked me out
"Electra!!" I yelled
"Fuck"
George look at me from the bottom of the stairs
"Everything good?"
"No"
He walked up to the loft
I explained to him what Electra said, and to my surprise he didn't get mad when I mentioned Percy
"Well first of all, you asked her what was wrong right?"
Great he's about to lecture me
"Yeah"
"And she opened up to you and told you even though she knew you'd get angry"
"...yeah"
"And what did you do?"
"I got angry"
He sighed "Fred, you know you're wrong in this right? Yeah Percy is a prick, but can we really fault her for wanting to get his advice on something so big? I'm actually surprised he wrote back, if anything it's a sign that he is who he used to be. It's buried somewhere in that ugly uniform"
I looked down at my necklace and held it in my hand
"And as for Cormac, unfortunately you can't go into the school and kick his ass. You're going to have to rely on Ron or Harry to handle it if things get out of control. Electra can handle her own too you know...I think everyone forgets how strong she is. You all make her feel weak, so that's how she acts but when she was younger NOTHING scared her you know why? Because no one was telling her she couldn't handle it"
"I fucked up"
"Yes you did"
"I don't really know how to fix it if she doesn't let me in"
He sat next to me and put his hand on my shoulder "you don't until she contacts you"
"But she's mad at me, I don't want her going to bed angry or what if she ran off alone and gets hurt? I don't want the last thing we said to be...to be an argument"
"You love her that's why you worry, but she's smart she isn't going to put herself in danger"
"You know we're talking about Electra right? Trouble follows her"
"Yes but she's in the safest spot she can be in, Hogwarts is under a lot of protection spells nothing is getting in without Dumbledore knowing. Build her up again, make her feel strong. Tell her to kick Cormac's ass herself"
"I should letter Ron and make sure he keeps on eye on Cormac" I said looking for paper
"Did you not hear me?" He said shaking my shoulders "tell her to beat the shit out of him"
I went to my room after George talked me back into a calm state
That was until she still had me blocked from her mind still an hour later
What is she doing
Is she sleeping
No she has her shield up
She never keeps it this guarded
I paced my room back and forth
2am
It's Sunday, the shop is closed maybe I can find a way to Hogsmeade and talk to her there
But they can only go twice a month now, and that isn't till next weekend
5am
She still has her shield up
Or she's dead
I raced into George's room
"George" I yelled
He jumped from his sleep and turned on his light with his wand
"What?!" He yelled
"What if she's dead"
He stared at me and slowly blinked
"Go to sleep Fred"
He turned over and put his pillow over his head
Fine he's no help
Maybe I can write to her
Fuck I wish she would just let me back in
Electra's POV
7am and I was still wide awake
The noises of the forest kept me at peace, but they couldn't calm down my mind
I still didn't want to see Ron, or talk to Fred or run into Cormac
I just wanted to be alone
10am and I heard my name being called
"Electra" Hagrid yelled out
"Electra!!" Hermione yelled next
well I'm not mad at them so I'll leave my cave I suppose
I ran out and followed their voices calling for me
I ran up a hill and found the two of them at the bottom near a large dark lake
"There she is!" Hermione yelled running up to me
I changed out of my fox form
"Where have you been?? You've been here all night!? You have no idea how worried I've been" Hermione said hugging me "are you ok?"
"I'm ok, thanks for coming for me"
"Electra please don't run off like that, scared me half dead" Hagrid said
I told them about my argument with Ron and Fred
She knew that Fred and I could communicate through my bracelet, Hagrid was shocked to find out but thought it was genius
"Ron's a git. He came in last night fumming, telling us you talked to Percy as if it was a bad thing. I think it was only to him and Fred they seem the most affected by his actions well their mum too" Hermione said "when I asked them where you were neither could tell me. The game ended an hour before they showed up, they waited for you to enter the common room first to give you space but you never did"
"Well then Hermione and them came to me this morning asking if I'd seen you on your run, and I didn't so the two of us went looking for you this way, while Harry and Ron went the opposite way with Fang" Hagrid said
"I'm still mad at Ron"
"As you should be until he apologizes, Fred too. But you can't keep Fred out and expect him to right it without the chance" Hermione said hugging me "I was really worried about you, the boys were too. Ron and Harry stayed up in the common room waiting for you all night and even used the cloak to walk around trying to find you. They tried the map but since you were in the forest it didn't register"
"Something about the forest makes it hard for magic to get through, especially if you're as deep as Electra was" Hagrid added
We made our way to the beginning of the forest where Ron and Harry were waiting
"Electra!!" They yelled racing for me
I let them hug me tightly
"I'm really sorry about last night" Ron said "I was awful to you, I realized it when we got back to the common room I just wasn't expecting his name to come out of your mouth since well no one talks to him..."
"I understand" I said "I'm sorry too"
They let me go, and we walked back to the castle
"Freddie" I said hoping he would answer
"Electra are you ok? I've been trying to talk to you all night...I'm so sorry about yesterday. I asked you to tell me what was wrong and the moment you did I lost my temper. I didn't mean to upset you, please never stop telling me when you're upset"
"I promise I'll tell you, and it's ok I understand why you were upset"
"It's not ok though, you were upset I made it worse. How about I make it up to you by coming to Hogsmeade next weekend for a date?"
I smiled and Hermione smiled too after she looked at me
"Really?? I would be so happy to see you!! It's still a month and a half away from holiday I can't wait that long to see you again"
He laughed
"I can't either, so I'm going to meet you at the three broom sticks ok? Next Saturday"
"Next Saturday" I said smiling "I love you"
"I love you more, please never lock me out of your head again I woke George up every hour I'm sure he would appreciate you never locking me out again too"
I laughed
"Ok I won't"
"You know you're strong right?" He said
I was caught off guard for a moment
"Yeah I guess"
"No. You are strong, I'm sorry if I haven't done a good job of making you feel that way. Next time Cormac tries anything kick his ass ok?"
I smiled deeply
