"Marinette! Come down for breakfast before you head to school!" Sabine called.
Marinette glanced at Tikki with a confused look . To which she shrugged. The bluenette quickly grabbed the pink bag from her chaise and opened it for Tikki. The ladybug Kwami flew in and Marinette shut the clasps on the bag and made her way downstairs.
"Morning, Sweetie." Sabine chirped, placing a plate of fruits and a waffle on the table.
"Morning, Mama." She says slowly, placing herself on the chair.
Marinette looks around for a moment, taking in her new surroundings. There was something missing but she couldn't put a finger on it.
With a hum, Marinette ate her food as she kept observing around her.
As she finished up the cut strawberries and drank the last drops of her orange juice, she noticed that Lila wasn't here.
"Mama? Where's Lila?" Marinette asks, getting up to put her plate and cup into the sink.
"Lila? Dear, she's probably at home resting. With all that has happened lately with her." Sabine sighed, returning back to cut some fruits.
"What happened?" The bluenette asks.
"You forgot? Lila claimed she had some form of PTSD from a travel to the islands about two weeks ago and is taking some time before returning to school." Sabine says, putting the knife down and wiping her hands against her apron.
"Oh, well alright then." Marinette says with full suspicion.
"You better get going if you want to be on time for once." Sabine warns, waving a finger at her daughter.
"That's probably a good idea." She nods, waving as she went out the door and down the stairs.
"Bye Papa!" Marinette calls out as she goes out the back door of the bakery.
"Marinette!" A voice screamed, getting closer to her.
The bluenette swung around to see her best friend, Alya latched onto her.
"Hey Alya." Marinette smiles, covering up any other emotions from bursting.
"Look girl, we need to go fast if we want to pick the best seats for this month!" Alya giddily squeals.
"Yeah, you go ahead, I have some things to do first." Marinette responds, waving her off and walking the other direction.
"We need to go see Fu." She murmurs to her bad.
Tikki nods and told the bluenette instructions as they went down the streets to Master Fu's place for answers.
Marinette spent the next ten minutes getting over to Master Fu's place. He had a small massage store down by the end of the street.
The bluenette bit her lip as she glanced at Tikki, searching for any form of reassurance. The red kwami nods her head and Marinette steps into the small parlor.
"Ah, Ladybug, I've been awaiting your arrival." The elder Guardian says, his back facing her.
"We need to talk." Marinette says quietly.
The Guardian turns to her with a sad smile.
"Yes," he nods, "I suppose we do need to talk."
A/N: AAAAAAAAAA!! I haven't posted in forever and I'm SO sorry! I've lost motivation for writing- well sort of, I was coming up with different fanfic ideas throughout the time and I plan on using them all, but sitting up to actually write said stories was more challenging than I thought. Again, I'll try to pull myself back into a normal schedule, but it might not be ready and set for the next two weeks since I do have end of the year finals and projects I need to do to pass school. TvT
Have a miraculous day!! <3
