Chapter Thirty-Nine| Leona

"You're getting married!" Ben screams in my ear and I jump in shock.
"Ben, what the fuck?!" I whisper yell. "Are you trying to make me go deaf?"
"Of course not!" He scoffs and I playfully roll my eyes.
Dario and I will be getting married in an hour and I am absolutely shitting myself. I woke up this morning and the morning sickness was immense.
But at this point I don't even know if it's the baby or the nerves. I look at myself and admire the expensive fishtail wedding dress I have on. Dario wanted everything to be the best, hence why he paid two million for the dress. I said that he was crazy, spending so much money on a dress I will only wear once, a dress I won't even be wearing for the reception also.
Ben managed to get me a plain silk white dress, so I am more comfortable for the reception, there's no way I can stay in this heavy dress for the whole day. It's already weighing me down and now that I'm pregnant it wouldn't be wise to have it on for so long.
"This is so crazy." Ben says. "I remember that first meeting at your office like it was yesterday, aren't you so glad that I convinced you to date him? I mean you're getting married!" I giggle lightly. "Although some of it was a shit show-", you can say that again, "-but it all turned out well in the end."
My eyes widen in shock when he pulls out a notepad. The same notepad he used to use as a checklist for whatever happened between Dario and I. .
"Ben?" I say in a questioning tone. "Please tell me that is not what I think it is." He gives me a mischievous smile and I raise my eyebrows.
"Look, even though you weren't together for two years I still had hope so I kept it." He throws his arms up in the air and I stare at him in shock. "I've been shipping you from the beginning, I literally only have one more thing to tick off."
"And what is that?"
"Well you need to have three more babies." I continue to stare at my best friend in disbelief.
My best friend really is crazy but I love him. I laugh and shake my head.
"Three more babies?" He nods his head.
"Soon as Bella is out, you need to start over again." Bella? "I've named your child for you, so you don't have that stress, you know?"
"I just know you're going to love babysitting duties and how do you know that it's a girl? It could be another boy." I laugh and he nods his head, laughing with me.
"Trust me, Leona it's a girl. Now we should probably get going!" Ben squeals in excitement and I grin.
I'm getting married to the love of my life
I slowly open the door and my eyes widen at who is standing in front of me.
The mysterious man from last night is Dario Tahan.
Great.
A smirk etches onto his face and he raises his eyebrow. "You going to let me in, princess?" He tilts his head and I clench my jaw.
"My name is Leona not princess." I clarify, stepping to the side and letting him in. I don't forget to glare at Ben before shutting the doors.
I compose myself before turning around and make my way over to my desk, however, I freeze when I spot Dario sat in my seat.
No, no, no.
"Get out of my seat Mr Tahan." I raise my eyebrows at him and he leans back, crossing his leg over his knee.
"It's lovely to see you again, Miss Goodwin." He says in that deep voice of his and I gulp.

"Princess."

"I've got you something." He says, rubbing the back of his neck and I nod my head. "I really hope you like it."
He pulls out a square shaped leather box from the inside of his suit jacket and places it in front of me.
"I got it personalised, I wanted you to have the best diamonds." My eyes widen at the word diamonds.
"Dario how much have you spent?" I question him.
"Not much, twenty five grand." I am gobsmacked with the amount he just uttered.
"Dario!" He chuckles, ignoring my shock and opens up the box to reveal the most beautiful necklace I have ever seen.

"We can sort this out, you don't need to sign the contract, you don't need to sign your business over to me, I don't want you to." He grabs hold of my wrists and pleads with me. "I love you, baby."
This fucker!
"I hate you." I retort and he clenches his eyes shut, his hands shaking. "You can stop with the manipulation now, Dario. After everything I've done for you, have you not realised, Dario that I was your only friend in all of this?!" I exclaim.
"I really do love you, princess."

"Will you marry me?"

I reminisce all the good and bad memories between Rio and I, as Ben and I sit in the back of the white wedding car. I play with the diamond necklace that Dario got me two years ago and my body warms at the weight of it around my neck.
Even after everything that has happened, I could never love anyone the way I do with my Rio. That man is a handful but I love him, he means the world to me and to be able to marry him is amazing.
It amazes me how we started out, I was so sure I would be single for the rest of my life, I had my walls built so high and Rio came along and knocked them down.
I jump when I feel Ben grab hold of my hand. "You good?"
"Nervous."
"I'd be more nervous telling everyone you're pregnant." He laughs but this time I don't laugh with him.
"Thanks for the support, Ben." I sarcastically say, rolling my eyes.
I'm so worried about Dario's reaction.
We soon arrive at the exquisite wedding venue, from the outside it looks like a castle. Everything is decorated in white and gold, roses are everywhere and it reminds me of when Dario would buy me a new batch of roses everyday and leave them at my office for me.
I smile gently at the memory.
The car slows down along the gravelled pavement and then stops in front of a large staircase which leads to the entrance. I take a minute to compose myself before the driver walks around the car and opens the door for me. I smile and thank him before joining Ben at the bottom of the staircase.
I release a huge breathe. The sun beams down on my skin and I slowly close my eyes, embracing the warm, summer heat.
"You ready to officially become, Mrs Tahan?" Ben questions, linking our arms together and I nod my head.
"So ready." I nod and we begin to walk up the stairs. We get to the door which is separating me from seeing my future husband, I can already feel myself start to become emotional.
Stupid hormones.
I hear the music begin and the doors slowly open, a trail of white carpet leads to the end of the aisle and to the man who I am about to marry. My family sit on the left side, while Darios's sits on the right. Ben and I begin to walk down the aisle and my face heats up as I see everyone's eyes on me.
I can tell they are all admiring the dress I have on and when I make eye-contact with Rio I can tell he appreciates it too.
I then feel Ben tense a little and I know who he's seen. He was so sure Jaxon wouldn't come to the wedding but luckily I was able to convince him and now they can sort out there problem.
I give my best friend a reassuring smile and before we know it I'm standing right in front of my Rio.
His eyes are watery as he stares down at me-biting his lip.
"You look so beautiful." He whispers and I smile lovingly up at him.
"And you look handsome." I wink and he chuckles lightly.
We soon begin to say our vows and I can't stop the tears from falling down my cheeks as I listen to Rio begin to speak. The loving words that he says has my heart melting and me falling for him all over again. I will never get tired of the way he looks at me as if I'm his everything. I know for a fact that this man is my everything and I cannot wait to grow our family with him.
Dario slides the ring onto my ring finger and I soon find myself doing the same thing to him.
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife." The wedding officiant speaks and cheers fill the room as Rio pulls me into a kiss.
"I love you so fucking much." He mumbles against my lips and I smile brightly, wrapping my arms tightly around him.

"Baby, you want some wine?" My husband questions and I look at him dumbfounded. "Baby?" He repeats again and I blink shaking my head.
"Speech first." I tell him as an excuse and he nods his head, gathering everyone's attention. I gulp and take a deep breath before standing up on shaky legs, I run my fingers along the silk material of my dress and over my stomach.
Ben passes me a microphone and I smile at everyone here.
"I'd like to thank you all for coming today, this has been such an amazing day and I am so grateful to be able to be this man's wife." I look down at Dario who smiles up at me, he takes my free hand and kisses the back of it. "Dario and I have been through a lot together but we have always managed to find our way back together, we're practically soulmates." I laugh and everyone also laughs.
"We've both taught each other a lot of things that have helped us grow to who we are today. This man knows how to make me the happiest woman, even if he can be annoying at times." He throws me a playful glare and I giggle.
"We also have a beautiful little boy, who I am so proud of and love with my whole heart-", I stroke Logan's hair as he sits on the other side of me and then I turn so my attention is completely on Dario. "-and in less than nine months we will soon have another little baby."
Excitement fills the room but I keep my eyes on Dario who is looking between me and my stomach, tears rolling down his cheeks. I reach forward to wipe the tears away and he stands up.
"You're pregnant?" He whispers and I nod my head.
A huge smile grows on his face and he lifts me up, making me squeal.
"You hear that?! We're having another baby!" Dario yells and I laugh along with everyone else.
This has been the best day of my life.
