Y/N POV
I had to get up ungodly early because today is the Miyagi Prefectural Qualifiers. My sister and I had arrived at the gym and were getting the supplies ready to put onto the bus. Along with doing my manager task I had been spending a lot of time trying to avoid Hinata. When I did run into him I was unable to look Hinata in his face but Hinata was putting space between us as he was not acting like his usually clingy self. It was strange but I was happy for the space.
"I'm going to check and see if the coach needs any help. Please finish packing the first aid kit," Kiyoko said leaving me alone in the gym
I did as Kiyoko asked as I continued packing the first aid kit. I had to make sure there was plenty of supplies for any type of injury.
"Good morning y/n-chan," a voice spoke from the entrance of the gym I froze when I saw who it was
It was Daichi, Suga, and Asahi walking towards me. Daichi sported a cocky smirk, Suga had his signature smile, but Asahi looked nervous.
"Hello, senpais Kiyoko just went to help coach," I said
They were all looking at me strangely, making me feel uncomfortable.
"Actually we have something to show you. Can you come with us for a moment?" Suga asked no matter how kind he sounded. I knew he wasn’t asking me. He was telling me that I was coming with them.
"I'm supposed to fin-"
"We insist you come with us," Daichi said cutting me off
Daichi had always been able to make my blood run cold just from speaking. A flashback of what happened on the bus went through my head. My hand flew to my mouth stopping myself from vomiting. I didn’t want to go but knew if Daichi wanted to do something he wouldn’t mind using force so I followed them. They took me to an empty club room and I hoped this would be over soon.
"So we heard you went over to Hinata's house this past weekend," Suga said pulling a tablet out of his bag
My heart fell into my stomach; did Hinata tell everyone.
"Yes I went over and watched a movie," I answered as a uneasy feeling set in my gut
"Did you two do anything else?" Daichi asked
"N-no" I stumbled over my words knowing they wouldn’t believe me if Hinata had told them
"Oh sugar don't lie to us," Suga said sickly sweet
Suga turned the tablet to me and a paused video showed on the screen. He pressed play starting the video. As the video started I saw myself in it but not just me there was also Hinata. I knew where this was going as it was a video of when I had gone to Hinata’s house. I watched it as Hinata and I both took off our clothes. As we got onto his bed I turned away not being able to watch anymore. I wanted to vomit but I held it in. I could feel the color draining from my face.
"Are you okay y/n?" Asahi asked sounding worry "maybe you should set down"
My knees gave out and I fell to the ground but my body was too numb to feel the pain. My face felt wet as fat tears slid down my face and onto the ground. Suga lifted my face that was facing the ground and whipped away my tears with his thumb.
"It's okay there is no reason to cry," Suga said trying to sooth
“Please delete it” I pleaded
"I mean there is one reason to cry-” Daichi ignored my pleas “-What if this video goes out? What if your caseworker saw it? I bet your mom would lose custody and you would have to go back to your father" Daichi said with an evil smirk
"No please I can't go back to my father" I begged
Daichi lowered himself to my leave so we were eye to eye.
"So you'll be a good girl and do what we say?" Daichi asked
"W-what do you want from me," I answered
" We want to have a relationship with you," Asahi voice was low and he looked embarrassed to have to say it
Do these guys want to share with me? How the hell would that even work? Do they not realize I'm just one girl?
"You say we but who is we," I asked
"It's a long list of sugar but it's basically everyone except for Ennoshita, Kinoshita, and Narita. Those guys have other interests but the rest of us are obsessed with you." Suga explained
"When you say relationship what does that entails for me?" I was in disbelief by the absurdity of the conversation
"We want to be your boyfriends," Daichi said making it sound like a demand
"And if I don't want to," I asked
"Then I'll send that video to the judge who gave your mom custody, to your father, and to your caseworker. After they all see it they'll take you away from your mother and give you back to your abusive father." Daichi's words made me wonder how he knew so much about me. I had never told anyone about my past so how did he know? The only logical answer would be that my sister told them but I hope she wouldn’t have betrayed me like that.
If it was between having a whole bunch of crazy boyfriends or going back to my abusive father the answer was easy.
"Okay but please be kind to me"
"Of course, " Daichi said pulling me from the ground into a hug "your our girlfriend"
Daichi leaned into me pressing his lips onto mine giving me a kiss. How could this be my life from abusive father to abusive boyfriends. I could only hope they wouldn’t want to do more than kiss.
"Let's go guys the others are waiting," Asahi said pulling me away from Daichi
We left the club room and the guys seem to be in a very good mood. I, on the other hand, just wanted to crawl into a hole. When we reached the bus everyone was on it except for Tsukishima. He gave me a smirk when he saw me look at him.
"Come on shorty you're sitting with me," Tsukishima order me
"Shouldn't I set with Kiyo-"
"No, I've been holding myself back but now that we're in a relationship I will no longer hold myself back," Tsukishima said grabbed my arm pulling me roughly
He led me onto the bus. We walked quickly towards the back of the bus. He shoved me into the seat allowing me to take the window seat. He joined me in the set blocking my way out. My eyes shifted around as I looked for my sister. I could see that Kiyoko was seated upfront with Narita.
"Stop looking to your sister for help" Tsukishima said sternly
I turned my attention to Tsukishima and he was glaring at me. I try to calm myself in my head reminding myself they had the video of me. Just play your part until you can get the video is what I told myself over and over.
"I'm sorry Tsuki" he blushed as I used his nickname "it has been a while since we talk how have you been"
He seemed suspicious at first but then he started to talk about the new band he was listening to. For the whole ride, he talked about music and he even pulled out earbuds so we could share them to listen to music. He might be crazy but he had good taste in music.
We arrived at the building where they were holding the Miyagi Prefectural Qualifiers and I exited the bus. There were teams from all over Miyagi at the tournament.
"Wow there are a lot of guys here," I said out loud
I felt two people wrap their arms around me causing me to regret my words instantly.
"No y/n your only supposed to look at us" Noya whined as he wrapped himself around me tighter
"Yeah y/n only love us" Tanka copied Noya as he squeezed me
"Stop it," Kiyoko said ripping them off of me tossing them to the side "y/n please help me get the equipment out"
Kiyoko and I gathered the equipment and took everything to the court where the team would be playing. The first match was Karasuno vs Tokonami; Tokonami is an unknown team but so are we. The team gathers up to listen to Coach Ukai.
"We've trained hard to be here so let's leave everything out on the court"
Everyone cheered
"Oh y/n I forgot to tell you that we're only allowed to have one manager on the court" Coach Ukai added
"Oh that's fine I'll just go watch in the stands," I said
"No we need y/n" Hinata whined
"She'll be fine boke," Kageyama shouted as he smacked Hinata on the back of the head
Kageyama leaned into me so he would whisper in my ear.
"You better not talk to any other guys" Kageyama whispered tingling the inside of my ear
I nodded my head and quickly made my way to the exit. Now that I was away from the team I was finally able to breathe again. I can't believe the mess I've gotten myself into.
I made my way outside of the gym needing some air and to get away from the crowds of people. I leaned against the warm building, closing my eyes. The events of the day were swimming in my brain. It was as if I overloaded my brain with worry that it shut down. I thought of nothing as I just enjoyed the breeze brushing against my face. I could have fallen asleep with how comfortable it felt.
"Y/N-CHAN"
I open my eyes to see Oikawa running towards me. The rest of his team was walking behind him shaking their heads at him as he acted like a fool in front of everyone. Once he got close to me he wrapped himself around me.
"We miss you" Oikawa whined as he rubbed his cheek against mine
"I've missed you too," I lied knowing that Oikawa would whine if I told the truth
The rest of the team finally caught up to Oikawa and me. Each of them looked clearly annoyed by their captain.
"Let her go Shittykawa," Iwazumi snarled as he pulled his friend off me
"Thanks, Iwa-senpai," I said truly grateful for Iwaizumi always having a leaved head and knew when I was uncomfortable "do you all not have a match yet" I asked
"No, we still another hour till we have to be on the court" Watari replied
"What are you doing out here on your own" Hanamaki asked
"They are only allowing one manager on the sidelines so I came out here for a little fresh air before the game starts"
"That's great that means you can hang out with us until our game starts," Oikawa interjected excitedly
"I-I don't know"
"You'll be fine," Oikawa cut me off as he wrapping his arm around me
He leads me away from the building with the rest of the team following. We spent most of our time eating snacks and talking. I was actually enjoying myself but I knew the team would be upset with me.They would be looking for me in the stands and when they didn’t see me they would be angry. I let out a sigh of relief when it was almost time for the Aoba Johsai match. Iwazumi offered to walk me to the gym where the Karasuno game was being held. I wished Aoba Johsai players good luck and started my walk with Iwaizumi.
"Hey Iwa-senpai where is Kyotani," I asked
"Oh he got in trouble so he won't be playing in this tournament" Iwaizumi sounded proud of Kyotani
"Make sure you tell I said to stay out of trouble"
“Sure” Iwazumi laughed at me knowing that Kyotani wouldn't listen.
We reached the gym and I said my goodbyes making sure to walk into the building alone. I didn't want any of the Karasuno team to see me with Iwazumi. When I reached the stands I stood by some old men who were also watching the game knowing if I chose a younger male that would only anger the team. Karasuno was doing surprisingly well; they had won the first set and were in the lead for the second set.
The second set ended with Karasuno winning 25-14 against Tokonami. The team celebrated and I made my way to the court to congratulate the team. I met up with the team in the hallway outside the court.
"Good job guys you all did great," I cheerfully said as I reached the team
"Y/n, where were you at," Daichi asked glaring at me
"I went to the bathroom and got lost all of these hallways look alike" I lied
I could tell that some of the guys did not believe me. Daichi looked like the veins in his head were about to burst. Kageyama had a scowl across his face. While Suga's eyes just looked dead.
"Guys calm down at least she was able to see the end of the match," Ennoshita jumped in "but be more careful y/n we don't want you getting lost"
"Thank you Ennoshita senpai"
The rest of the team seemed to let it go but I knew they would bring it up later. I left to go help Kiyoko pack up the rest of the equipment. Then we took our lunch break together before the next match. The team decided to watch the Aoba Johsai match but Kiyoko and I declined their invitation to join them.
After lunch, Kiyoko made her way to the court while I made my way to the stands. At my seat, I could see the team warming up for the Karasuno vs Date Tech match. I made eye contact with Hinata and my face heated up; he also blushed and waved at me. I waved back and quickly looked away and turned my attention to the opposing team. They were all very tall which must be part of the reason they have the name Iron wall.
The game started and Karasuno was getting shut down. It almost seemed that history was going to repeat itself. However, once they got one ball over the iron wall there was no stopping Karasuno. The first set went Karasuno 26-19 and the second set was about to begin but first both teams were taking a time out.
"So they actually won the first set"
I turn to see the Aoba Johsai team coming towards me. Oikawa took the empty seat beside me and Iwazumi took the other seat beside me. I turned my attention back to the Karasuno team who were glaring in my direction.
"Looks like the crows are upset that we are sitting with their manager," Oikawa said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. He smirked at my team as he pulled me closer.
I knew that if I didn't do something the team would blame me for this.
"Oikawa could you remove your arm please," I asked nicely
Oikawa looked at me with puppy dog eyes that he used to get his way. It even had an effect on me.
"Do you not like me anymore y/n" he pouted
"N-no that's not it-"
"Good so I should be able to hold you," Oikawa interrupted me
"Please I don't want to get in trouble" I blurted out accidentally smacking a hand over my mouth as I said it
"Y/n has someone been telling you not to talk to us," Iwazumi asked
I stayed silent, afraid that if I tried to talk I would end up crying instead. My eyes burnt as I felt tears brim my eyes.
"Y/n please tell us if someone is threatening you we want to help"
The rest of the team started to chime in with their agreement to Iwazumi statement.
"I'm sorry I can't tell you," I whispered but they were able to catch it
"You don't have to tell us y/n just know that we are all here for you," Iwazumi said patting me on the back using the moment to smack Oikawa’s arm from my shoulder
This brightens my mood and I turn my attention back to the game. The game ended with Karasuno taking the second set 25-23.
"Looks like we'll be facing Karasuno," Matsukawa commented
I stood up getting ready to go to the court to congratulate the team.
"Good luck tomorrow," I said to the Aoba Johsai players before leaving them in the stands.
OIKAWA POV
I watched as y/n left to go congratulate her team. I still couldn't get over how tense she got when I put my arm around her. She had never acted this way before to my touch. She didn't even act this way when I was holding her outside. The only difference was the Karasuno players could see us and I didn't miss them glaring at me.
"Are we all thinking about y/n?" Yahaba asked
"Of course," Kindaichi said rolling his eyes at Yahaba’s statement
"Did you see how scared she was when the Karasuno team looked at her?" Kunimi added
We were all nervous at the reason why y/n was so scared. I hope that the Karasuno players weren't hurting her.
"What do we do if those boys are hurting her I know it," Iwazumi asked
I clenched my fist in anger knowing he was speaking the truth.
"There are only two options one we get rid of the Karasuno team or two we take y/n away from them," I said
The rest of the team shook their heads in agreement. We grabbed our stuff and headed to our bus. I couldn't wait to crush those crows tomorrow.
Y/N POV
I waited by the bus for the team to come out. I was looking at my phone that was being blown up by the Nekoma team. My phone always had tons of messages from Nekoma, Karasuno, and Aoba Johsai players. I also had late-night game sessions with Kenma. I wanted to become isolated and never mess with technology again.
"What are you looking at?"
I looked up from my phone and saw Kageyama standing beside me. He must have been looking at my phone from over my shoulder.
"Just messaging some friends from Tokyo," I answerd
I took my phone and put it in my pocket. Kageyama was quick as he pinned me against the bus. I could tell he was angry by the scowl he had on his face.
"I don't like my girlfriend messaging other guys"
"Really you're sharing me with multiple guys and you don't like me messaging other guys. How does that make sense?" I snapped
Kageyama tightly wrapped his hand around my throat. I let out a sharp gasp and tried to pull his hand away.
"Don't ever talk back to me again or the first person I'll show the video to is your sister" Kageyama threatened
This shut me right up. Kiyoko is the one person I would never want to see in the video. I look up to her as a parent and it would crush me if she saw me as a disappointment.
"Now apologize and show me how sorry you are," Kageyama said releasing my throat
I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into a hug.
"I'm sorry Kageyama please forgive me," I whispered nuzzling my face into his chest
"Good girl," Kageyama said, kissing the top of my head. "Let's get on the bus so you can sit with me on the way back.
I got on the bus with Kageyama and we took a seat in the very back. I leaned on him, placing my head on his shoulder pretending to be asleep. I knew that the rest of the team was mad at me and I didn't want to see the glares they would shoot my way once they got on to the bus.
I would just pretend.
I would pretend to be asleep.
I would pretend that my life wasn’t falling apart,
I would pretend that I wasn’t being blackmailed.
I would pretend.
