As soon as everyone made it to the locker rooms they instantly collapsed.
"Ugh I can't believe we played to games in a row, and with 2 kings." Hyuga groaned as he stretched down on the bench.
"Tell me about it." you said as you sat down next to Kuroko leaning against his shoulder as his head rested on top of yours. You smiled at the warm contact while you nuzzled your head more into the crook of his neck feeling your eyelids grow heavy.
"Ne Tetsuya I remembered Midorima." You stated as you closed your eyes.
"Really?" He asked as he closed his eyes as well. You nodded in response enjoying the peaceful nature of the locker room. You sighed deeply, still feeling upset about the incident with Kagami you clicked your tongue. Kuroko sensed your disappointment as he raised hi hand and placed it on top of yours.
"Don't worry just give him so time. In the mean time just cool down a bit." He stated as you exhaled deeply humming in response.
Kagami sat down exhausted and stared at the two across the locker room. He sighed, he knew he fucked up but as a person who isn't good with his words he found it hard to approach you and apologize. A uncomfortable feeling started to stir within him as he looked at the 2 so close to each other. He admired you, your talent, your skill, your passion and determination. And at that moment when he snapped he was angry, not at you but at himself for letting him grow so selfish. He knew he made a promise with you and it clicked that he was threatening to break it.
He sighed deeply as he wiped the sweat off his forehead closing his eyes. He'd make it up to you some how.
"Let's go home!" Riko exclaimed as the team groaned.
"I-... uh I can't move." Kagami said awkwardly as the team turned around to stare at the male.
"Sigh. We can't stay here forever ummm let's go to the nearest restaurant. Someone carry Kagami!" Riko said.
You sighed as you picked up your bag placing your items in and zipping up your jacket. You watched as Kuroko tried to carry the taller male.
Soon the team was infront of an Okonomiyaki restaurant.
"Excuse me!" Riko announced entering the restaurant.
"Welcome welcome!"
"Kuroko you'll pay for this." Kagami was covered in dirt as half of his body was wet due to the rain.
"Sorry you're really heavy."
You chuckled as you made your way inside.
"I'm not sure if there are enough seats." Your eyes trailed when they suddenly landed on 2 blonde and dark haired males. They turned their heads to face the team.
"Oh! (Y/n)-cchi! Kuro-cchi! Sit next to us!" He exclaimed waving his arms towards the 2.
And so here you are sitting in between Kise and Kuroko. Kise had his arm around you hugging you slightly as you felt your eye lids go heavy.
"It's nice to see you again Kise." You said drowsily.
He pouted. "Ryota! Call you Ryota!" He whined.
"Don't make yourself an embarrassment." Kasamatsu said as he kicked Kise's leg from under the table and the blonde let go of you rubbing his shin.
"Kagami-cchi why are you covered in dirt?"
"I fell... just.. never mind forget it." He grumbled. He looked at you as your head was bobbing up and down trying to fight the sleepiness.
This match had take a toll on you and you accidentally pushed yourself over the limit, that last boost you made to smack the ball out of Midorima's hand used up all your stamina so you felt as though any minute sleep would take over our body.
"Excuse me sir! Do you have a table for 2..." the team turned around to see Midorima and Takao enter the restaurant.
"What are you 2 doing here without your team?" Hyuga asked.
"Ah we got left behind because Shin-chan was crying" Takao said.
"Oi!" Midorima said. He sighed. "We figured we might as well get something to eat." But he quickly went back dragging his friend out and shutting the door, only for him to open it wide again after a huge gust of wind came as rain poured onto their figures.
Takao made his way towards your table as he say your drowsy body fighting to stay awake.
'Cute' he thought as he directed his attention to Kasamatsu.
"Hey! I saw you on Basketball Monthly! You're nationally famous for being a point guard! Do you mind if I join you I want to hear all your stories let's go over there!" He said as he slung an arm around the protesting male leading him away to another table.
Midorima sat next to Kagami huffing. So here you were you in between Kuroko and Kise while sitting across you 2 were Kagami and Midorima. There was an awkward silence until Kuroko pulled out a menu.
"Why don't we order something? (Y/n)-san do you want anything?" He turned to you as a 'bonk' was heard. Your forehead made contact with the table as you raised a hand slightly waving him off signaling you didn't need to eat.
"Nah I have to wait for my medicine to settle in. I'll eat later." You mumble as you turned your head slightly so your cheek made contact with the table. Closing your heavy eyelids you exhaled letting air come out trying to fight the sleepiness.
"(Y/n)-cchi you shouldn't sleep on the table!" Kise said as he tried to lift up your body.
"I think I went over my limit today..." you mumble your eyes still closed as your head was lifted up and placed on Kise's shoulder.
"You guys can eat I already ate so I'm pretty full." He stated as he felt the girl on his shoulder tense up slightly.
"Ahhhhhhhh I forgot to change my bandage..." you groaned as you lifted your head and rummaged through your bag.
"Does it still hurt..?"
You lifted your head slightly as your drowsy eyes came into contact with Midorima's. He looked away and pushed up his glasses. You picked up the bandage in your bag and shook your head.
"Not anymore. Though it hasn't fully healed." You stated as you got up from your seat and started to walked towards the bathroom to change your bandage.
The table sat in silence until Kagami spoke.
"What happened to you guys?" He asked.
Midorima exhaled through his nose as Kise furrowed his brows.
"We pushed her to her limit and well..." Kise started looking down.
"We made her hate basketball and that day she.." Midorima said clearing his throat. "She ran away.... and before we knew it she was rushed into that hospital."
"It was our fault, we were greedy and selfish, if we hadn't pushed her then..." Kise said.
"Then she wouldn't have forgotten us.." Midorima finished.
Kagami sighed thinking back at their argument in the court. It was almost as if she had to re live the thing that she hated most. He had to apologize.
"Don't worry." Kuroko said. "She's slowly starting to remember and she's continuing to play. Give her some time she'll come around soon."
As he finished his sentence the girl came back to the table with her head wrapped in a clean bandage as she sat down next to Kise and Kuroko before leaning her head on the blue haired male's shoulder and closing her eyes. The other's eyebrows furrowed feeling an uncomfortable pit lingering in their stomachs.
It was silent until Kise spoke up.
"Hey hey I know losing sucks but yesterday's enemies are todays friends right!"
"I lost to him today! If anything I can't believe you don't have problem sitting with them you lost to them too." Midorima said.
" Don't worry I'll get my revenge at Inter high! I won't lose next time."
"Kise you've changed." Midorima said.
"Really?"
"Your eyes their weird."
"Weird!?!?"
"I think they look fine." You stated with your eyes still closed.
"Really!?!? (Y/n)-cchi you think so!" He exclaimed slinging an arm around your shoulder.
"Yeah I like them. It's different from when I first met you but I like it a lot more now." You said as anime tears started to well up on the blondes face.
"Midorima."
He flinched slightly as he looked up at you. Your eyes still closed and your head was now placed on top of Kise's shoulders resting.
"It's nice to see you again." You said. "I hope I'm able to regain more memories and create new ones in the future."
His eyes widened before they went down, his lips started to curl up a bit hearing those words. He has missed you, and although he knew you didn't remember everything he found some comfort in the small words you said to him just now.
He cleared his throat going back to Kise. Who was cuddling you in his arms praising you as flowers beamed around him.
"It seems I'm that I was mistaken. You haven't changed at all, simply reverting back to a state before our 3 consecutive championships." He said taking a bite.
"But.. we were all like that back then.." Kuroko said. "Well except for her."
"How you change is still up to you and its your decision but I don't play just for fun." He said
"You guys think too much its just basketball we play to have fun." Kagami said taking a big bite out of his food.
"What did you say? Don't speak without knowing anything." Midorima said but was cut off as his hair was now covered with Takao's food.
An irk mark appeared on his head as he got up. "We'll talk about this later. Takao get up."
"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry." Takao said as fear filled his body, his body being dragged by the taller male.
"You know hes not wrong."
They turned to see you lifting you head from Kise's shoulders your back still facing the entrance of the restaurant.
"I realized it in this game, if the game really was boring we wouldn't have gotten this far. It's fun." You said as you laid your head back down on Kise's shoulders.
"Kagami let me tell you one thing." Midorima approached the table. "There are 2 members that live in Tokyo. Myself and a man named Aomine Daiki. You will face him soon in the championship league. He's the same type of player as you."
"What? So he's strong?" He said.
"He is but his style of basketball... I don't like it.." Kuroko said taking another bite.
They were about the exit until Midorima heard a voice.
"Midorima thank you for today's match let's play again some time, like the old days." You said as you turned around to make eye contact with him grinning.
He looked back at you as a small smile formed on his lips.
"Of course we will and I'll win the next game." He said as he shut the door.
You turned your head back as you once again leaned on Kise you couldn't be happier as he flung his arms around you pulling you closer. He placed his head on yours as he nuzzled in inhaling your familiar sent. He smiled softly recalling the times you had spent together in Teiko. You always greeted him with a hug which he gladly accepted and here you were again openly nuzzling closer to him and his grip on you tightened.
He felt as if at any second if you let go, you would disappear, just like that last game. He didn't want that, he wasn't going to lose again. Not this time not ever. His grip around you tightened as you slowly started to fall asleep taking in the smell of Kise's cologne not noticing the 2 men glaring at the blonde.
Soon after you wee awoken as Kise had to leave and you and your team exited the restaurant. Still a bit drowsy you looked to find Kuroko.
"Where's Tetsuya?" You asked looked around.
"Excuse me.." you turned to see Kuroko holding a dog. You're eyes instantly shot up as you ran towards your friend holding the small puppy in his hands.
"CUTE!!! TETSU WHERE'D YOU FIND HIM!" You said as the dog leaped into your arms nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck licking you cheek.
"I found this dog." He said.
"A dog?"
"What are we going to do with him?" Kawahara asked.
Riko turned to the dog who was in your arms as you both fanned exclaiming how adorable he was.
"Doesn't he look like someone?" You asked as you stretched your arms placing the dog infront of Kuroko glancing between the 2.
"The eyes the eyes!!!" Izuki exclaimed.
They sweatdropped as they looked at Kuroko and the dog.
"You're name will be Tetsuya Nigou!" You said as your eyes sparkled in delight, the dog wagging his tail.
"Hey.. where's Kagami?" They turned to see him hiding behind a sign.
"I-... uh I can't handle dogs..." he said.
Kuroko grabbed the dog gently from your arms as you pouted but started to chuckle as you saw the male pushing the dog towards Kagami who was running away.
You laughed to yourself. This was going to be fun.
