Y/n stood in front of the hooded man, unsure of what she should do. Does she leave them here to sleep or wake him up?
"I'll take a shower first. Then I'll deal with this." She took a pair of leggings and a baggy f/c shirt. She entered her bathroom and stripped her clothes off, locking the door to make sure Hoodie didn't come in mid shower.
"I really need to stop using so much hot water." She entered the shower and let the heat consume her. The temperature of the water could burn someone, yet it seemed cold to her if anything.
~
"I just don't understand why we need to go see the damn ass."
"Sweetie he is you're father. You have to see him at least once."
"He abused you for 15 years and you still want to see him?! Some father he was!"
"Y/n you will go and see him and that is final." Y/n groaned at her mother and climbed up the steps, shutting the door hard enough to annoy her mother. To cool herself off, she went on youtube to watch some videos. That's when she noticed the overwhelming amount of notifications she had.
Ah, that's right. Y/n had forgotten about the youtube video she posted the day before.
"Okay moment of truth. Do they like me or not?" The girl wearily clicked the stats button, and a page with a bunch of diagrams appeared. The like to dislike range was 90% to 10%, and the comments seemed to be respectful for the most part.
'I need more content!!!!'
'Write your own song please!'
'Someone get this chick a manager or I'm suing-'
'Omg she has such a pretty voice.'
She was more than content with the responses. Despite being slightly mad at her mother, Y/n ran to go tell her about the success.
"Mom my video got over 10k views! And they all love my singing!" Her mother faced her, a dead look on her face.
"What did I tell you about the music?"
"Sorry mother..." The 15 year old held a disappointing look on her face. Her own mother didn't think she would make it big, and that she should just stick with school. It always seemed like this. Anytime there was something she wanted to do, her mother denied. It was like she couldn't care less about her opinions.
~
Y/n quickly got out the shower and dressed herself. It was late in the day, but she didn't care. Hell, if Hoodie didn't show up she'd probably roam the whole day in her pajamas.
"Hoodie? You awake yet?"
"Mhm." He hummed out, yawning shortly after. Y/n smiled when she saw that he went to rub his eyes, only to realise he couldn't because of the mask.
"Why don't you just take your mask off?"
"Why are you interested?" The girls face flushed a bit before she shook her head.
"Not like that! I don't know, I just...Doesn't it ever get annoying wearing you mask?" She rubbed the back of her neck awkardly. Hoodie shrugged in response and they both fell silent.
"Want to bake a cake?" Y/n tried to rid the unsteadiness in the air. Behind his mask, Hoodie bit his lip, trying not to smile.
"Do you even know how to bake?"
"Not really no. But I have instructions so that's really all we need." Hoodie chuckled and Y/n smiled. Hearing his laugh comforted her in an odd way that was in no way explainable.
"You want to help? I have chocolate, vanilla, birthday cake!" Hoodie thought for a minute, contemplating his choices.
"Yeah sure. Why the fuck not?"
~
"Okay I'm going to record this for the sake of nothing. No, I won't show it to the public and it won't get leaked."
"I wasn't worried? Should I be?" Hoodie finished washing his hands and stood next to her. She shook her head and got the cake batter out.
"So this is what rich people food looks like."
"Oh please. Out of everything in hear the only thing I actually eat is ramen. Sweet, beautiful, ramen~"
"Yeah okay. Do you have scissors?" Y/n nodded and handed his a large pair of sharp scissors. He took off his gloves and rolled his sleeves up to his elbows. Y/n noticed a mark on her skin; A circle with an 'X' on it.
"Is that a tattoo?" The girl pointed towards the mark.
"Yeah, let's go with that." Y/n eyed him weirdly, then shrugged and went to get a steel bowl.
"One time me and my uh, roommates, were baking a cake for my, err, professor. So one of my roommates, his name is Toby, he decided that it would be such a great fucking idea to rip the bag open by slamming his fist into the middle of the bag. So then my other...roommate, he started to yell at Toby because they hate each other for dumb reasons."
"Wait, He slammed his fist into the bag? What is he, on cocaine or shit?" Hoodie snorted at the comment, going into the fridge to get two eggs.
"No, well actually, maybe. So look out world, there's a serial killer out there who is constantly taking in cocaine!" He put one fist up in the air, rolling his eyes under his mask.
"What are your roommates like anyways?" Y/n stood next to him, closer than he'd expected. She held a wooden spoon and a glass measuring cup filled with vegetable oil.
"Pretty fucking terrible. The day after I met you, they set the sink on fire. Pretty crazy. Oh and we do a lot of pranks on each other." He paused as he watched Y/n crack one of the eggs. Well at least try.
"Yeah I really don't know how to crack eggs properly." The taller male chuckled and grabbed her wrist to guide her hand. They were in a position where Hoodie was behind her, his hand atop of hers, and Y/n almost having her back touch his chest. She was glad he couldn't see her face, because she knew for a fact that her face was going to explode from blood rush.
"Lightly tap it on the side of the bowl. Hard enough to crack but not too hard for the actual egg to start oozing everywhere." Y/n concentrated on where Hoodies hand was. It was cold, presumably because he had only recently washed them. They were rough, yet his touch felt as if he had been waiting to caress the skin for so long.
Y/n tapped the egg against the steel once, and though the egg cracked, it didn't crack well enough to be split.
"Fucking shit Y/n. Stop acting weak and crack the damn egg."
"B-but, what if it dies." The girl feigned shyness, holding in a laugh the best she could. Hoodie groaned and gripped her hand harder, not noticing the small blush on her face.
"Crack, twist." Before she knew it the egg was inside the bowl, their hands still touching. The room went completely silent, the only audio being breathing. Now that the egg was already cracked, there wasn't a reason for them to be in the position they were in, but that only fueled the thrill Y/n was feeling.
All of a sudden Y/n's phone went off. Both of them looked towards the phone, and Hoodie loosened his grip completely so she could pick the phone up.
"Hey mom!"
"Hey sweetie! Just wanted to call to make sure you were all right. These past few weeks have been terrible, haven't they?"
"Yeah, they really have been. How are you and Adam?"
"This again Y/n? How many times have I told you to start calling him dad? It's been over three years!"
"Sorry mother..."
Hoodie's eyebrow quirked at the sudden change of conversation. Her mother's voice had completely turned to a tone of authority. The type of tone Slender used on Toby when he was acting up.
"*Sigh* We're doing great love. We're thinking of going to the Bahamas next month." Y/n's eyes sparkled with hope and joy.
"That sounds beautiful! Am I invited?" The line went silent and she looked at the phone to see if her mom was still there. Hoodie felt a deep pit in his stomach, already knowing the answer.
"Well anyways I'll talk to you later sweetie. I love you!"
"Bye mom, Love you- And she already hung up." Y/n looked down to her phone for one second, a sad smile decorating her face. She then looked up to Hoodie, and shrugged her shoulders.
"Eggs man."
