hiii I thought this song (All About You cover by Cal) fit in perfectly with the storyline so I decided to stick it in here, so watch it and tell me what you think:) love you bunches here's Chapter nine!:)
The next few days went by fast, school and such to deal with. I hadn't spoken with Calum since Sunday, but we texted, like everyday, when I would get out of school. On Friday night, Carter and Abby came over to watch the big game with my family, and of course I had to invite Calum and Mali.
"The party has arrived!" Calum exclaimed as he walked right in through my front door.
"Excuse my rude brother." Mali mumbled, knocking pointlessly on the door before she entered.
"Hey guys." I laughed lightly at them, then pulled Mali in for a huge hug. "Did you bring pie?" I questioned, pointing to the pie in her hand.
"Yeah. Calum actually-" she began, but Calum interrupted.
"I picked it out." Calum grinned.
"That's what I was going to tell her, if you would shut your damn mouth." Mali sighed. It took a lot of strength to not laugh at the two of them, they're so close but they fight all the time.
"I just wanted the McKingsley's to know that I picked out the pie-"
"Whoever picked out the pie doesn't matter. Thank you both." my mum stood up, taking the pie from Mali and shooting them both a playful glare. She was like their second mum; always settling their conflicts.
"Hey Calum." Abby smiled all flirtatiously at him, but he hardly glanced at her. His gaze was fixed on me, for some unknown reason.
"Hey Abby. Hey Jade." Calum smirked, plopping himself down beside me on the couch. "How have you been?" he asked.
"Busy with school and shit." I shrugged.
"What kind of shit we talking about?" he smirked wider and bit his lip to hold back a full on smile.
"Just.. random shit, get off my back!" I protested, hitting him lightly on the chest.
"Ow!" he clutched the area of his chest I had hit, but he couldn't even hold it in. He burst into laughter right there, causing me to laugh as well. What an idiot he is.
"I didn't know you two were friends again." Abby hissed in my ear once Calum turned his attention to the football game on TV. I just shrugged in return, not really knowing what to say.

Somehow, after Carter and Abby left, Calum and I ended up sitting out on my front porch, chatting about random shit.
I'd been thinking a lot throughout the night about Calum and I becoming friends again, and how much I actually missed having Calum around. He could always make me smile; always make me happy on a bad day. I fell into a bad place after Calum left, and I really didn't like it. I'm getting better, I can feel it.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Calum smiled, staring at me intently.
"Oh, it's nothing." I lied, shrugging slightly.
"Yes it is. You have that... look." he smirked. I cocked my head and gave him a weird look, I don't have some sort of look when I am thinking.
"What look?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at him.
"You always have this.. look when you're thinking about something. I've memorized you inside and out, McKingsley. Nothing gets passed me." he smirked, causing me to roll my eyes.
"I'm sure that's true." I chuckled.
"It is. But seriously, what are you thinking about?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing, Cal. But I have a question."
"Shoot." he darted his eyes up at me.
"What does my face look like when I'm thinking?" I asked. Calum let out a small laugh, then made the weirdest face I'd ever seen, causing me to laugh.
"That's what it looks like." he laughed.
"I'm sure." I chuckled. I guess out of habit, I reached into my back pocket and pulled out my cigarettes. My parents weren't very fond of my smoking habit, but they learned to live with it.
Grabbing the lighter from the side table, I pulled one out of the pack and lit it up. When Calum's eyes came back up to me from his phone, his mouth fell open, a frown hanging off the tips of his mouth.
"Jade Elizabeth McKingsley, give me that." he protested, swiping the joint from my hand and crushing it underneath his foot.
"What the hell, I was smoking that." I laughed lightly, then frowned at his facial expression. He looked pissed, mixed with a little bit of hurt.
But why the hell was he hurt?
"I didn't know you smoke." he spoke blankly, staring at me deeply.
"Yeah, I started like a year and a half ago." I mumbled, my gaze traveling down to my entwined hands in my lap. I was rather ashamed of my habit; but I just couldn't seem to stop. I didn't smoke as much as I used to though, so I'm getting better.
"Why?" he questioned, and before I could even open my mouth, his face fell. "Because of me." he breathed.
"No Cal-"
"You started smoking because of me!" he said a bit louder now, rising from his chair and running a hand through his hair angrily.
"Calum-"
"Dammit!" he shouted, kicking the dirt.
"Calum-" I tried again, but he interrupted me.
"I'm such a douche bag, aren't I? I'm a major fuck up. Dammit!" he yelled, and I noticed his eyes getting glossy.
"Calum, and I swear to God if you interrupt me." I spoke, waiting for him to interrupt. When he didn't, I began again. "I started smoking not because of you, but because I allowed myself to come to that point. It was a mistake." I spoke, speaking slowly so he could understand me clearly.
"But I left. If I hadn't left-" he began, and I raised my hand to stop him from continuing.
"Well you did, Cal. And you can't go back now. But I've forgiven you, so you need to forgive yourself." I whispered, taking a step toward him.
"I'll never forgive myself." he whispered, wiping his eyes quickly before I could see whatever it was he didn't want me to.
"I'm asking you to forgive yourself, for me. Can you do that?" I asked. Before I could answer, we heard Mali's cheery voice from the doorstep, completely ruining our moment.
"Cal, my dear brother, mum needs us back home." Mali sang, tossing him his jacket. Calum didn't even blink as he caught it; his eyes never leaving mine.
"Promise me you'll at least try to forgive yourself." I whispered once Mali was out of an earshot.
"I'll try." he nodded.
"Goodbye Jade, thank you for your hospitality." Mali grinned, pulling me into a hug.
"Anytime, Mal. Come by soon." I laughed when she pulled away, and I watched her skip toward her car. I turned back to Calum, who was also watching his insane sister. "I see you still haven't gotten your car." I chuckled.
"Nope." he sighed.
When Calum and I were friends before he left, he had this little red truck that I loved dearly, but it was one of the shittiest things you've ever seen. He didn't get rid of it; his parents took it away from him before he left, and he hasn't really needed it until now. I wasn't sure where it was, though.
"Well, with that big ass wallet of yours, I'm sure that will change." I chuckled.
"Maybe." he laughed along with me, then pulled me into a tight hug. "Thanks for tonight." he whispered.
"Anytime, Hood. I'm sure I'll be seeing you sometime soon." I laughed lightly as he pulled away.
"Count on it!" he called over his shoulder as he rushed toward Mali's car. I just laughed and waved as they pulled down the street, then went back inside.

The next day, Carter and Abby invited me to go to the beach with them and a lot of our friends from school. I asked Calum to join and even bring the boys, but they didn't want to go, and neither did Cal. I went anyway, I thought I had been spending a little too much time with Calum lately. Not that that's a bad thing, necessarily.
About a week later, Calum and I were hanging out at the mall, practically babysitting Michael and Luke, who were in the arcade playing every game inside.
"Cal, we've been here for hours and I'm starving." I complained. "Let's just go get Michael and Luke already."
"Those douches will punch me in the balls if I try and break them away from their video games, especially Michael." Calum let out a deep laugh.
We were standing outside the arcade door, (Michael and Luke had assured us they wouldn't be very long,) when I noticed a group of two or three guys from the other side of the hallway, staring and smirking right at me.
I was about to flick my middle finger up at them, when Calum snaked his arm around my waist and laid a long kiss on my cheek. I was shocked, to say the least, but didn't really object.
"What was that for?" I asked.
"Those guys were looking at you in a way I didn't like. They were practically undressing you with their eyes." he scoffed, releasing me from their grasp.
And Calum's little plan worked, the boys frowned and walked away with their shoulders dropped. I practically chuckled, I never knew I had such an effect on guys.
"Calum Hood!" someone shrieked, a girl, no older than fifteen, rushed over to us, already almost in tears.
"Hey." Calum grinned, pulling her in for a hug, which she gladly accepted.
"Is that your girlfriend?" the girl whispered.
"No." Calum shook his head, a small smirk dancing across his lips. "This is my best friend, Jade." he introduced me to the girl.
"Hey." I waved with a smile.
"Hi." she greeted me with a warm smile. "She's pretty." she whispered to Calum.
"I know." he whispered back, grinning like an idiot at me. I felt my cheeks heat up at both of them, so I turned away in attempt to hide it.
Calum and the girl took a picture or two together, then she skipped off in happiness. I actually thought it was cute how happy he made girls, just by being himself.
"Let's go get some food." he grabbed my arm and tugged me toward the food court.
"What about Luke and Michael?" I questioned.
"Fuck 'em." he chuckled.
And we hadn't even made it that far when another voice made us stop.
"Calum Hood!" another girl shrieked.
Damn, this is going to get annoying very, very fast.
