6 months later
Six months. Six peaceful months. No threats, no blackmails, no deaths, no missing person. Just six amazing months. The eleven had slowly started to return back to their normal lives, no more trips to factories at 12 am or sneaking in hospitals for the autopsy of her best friend. Somi had finally received justice, her killer was dead too.
But the thing that didn't seem right to the eleven was... Where is XOXO? Didn't (s)he said that (s)he will kill the eleven too? Wasn't (s)he still threatening them? But, there was no trace of him/her. The others knew that (s)he was still around and could return any day. But, not for now. They were just trying to enjoy the little they can.
Twelfth grade was coming to an end, it was the month of February. Just the last few S.A.Ts and school finally end. Then you are finally graduated from school. From ninth grade to twelfth, these were just a rollercoaster ride for the eleven.
Jisoo was officially elected as the school president, she finally had something to boast about in front of her sister. Namjoon, vice president, although was a bit hurt at first, he was glad that Jisoo got to be the school president. The others had returned to scoring good marks and being the best player on their respective sports teams.
In short, they were finally back to showing the world that they are just handsome/pretty students who are perfect in everything, without any dark past or secrets.
It was like, "Lie. If you can't succeed, Lie again"
Jungkook and Rose were finally together. 2 months back, on Christmas eve, Jungkook had confessed. The most beautiful confession. He spent hours working on a song, a song made just for her. Sounds cliche, but the song wasn't just about her face or beauty, it was also about how she was with him everytime he needed her. It was about how he truly believes that they are meant to be together.
But Rose and Jungkook weren't the only couples.
After fighting for a week straight with her mom, Jennie and Taehyung were finally dating officially. Taehyung had made a big photo album, a photo album for Jennie. With every picture, he had a small note, confessing. Oh, how did Jennie cry while seeing them and he had to pass her a tissue every minute?
Jisoo on the other hand was being pulled from both sides. On Monday, Jisoo would go to the amusement park with Jin, but on Saturday you would spot her in a cozy bar with Namjoon. She hadn't figured it out yet. She still believed that Jin and XOXO might have some connection. Hoseok had convinced himself that he likes Lisa, and wants to date her. But Lisa never showed many signs. Hoseok worried that their friendship would be ruined if he confessed and she didn't.
Jimin and Soojin were finally "official" and they got teased about it for months. Yoongi and Soyeon, well what about them? They were always the strongest duo out here. You could say, these six months were the most wonderful months.
But every good thing has to end. And every bad thing has to return once in a while
February had started the first week. The final school party of the year. The Masquerade. Tonight everyone was behind the mask, concealing their faces. No one would be able to see what lies behind that mask, and probably someone would be unmasked.
A silver-haired Roseanne entered the room, fixing her white tight dress, and wearing her white fancy mask which had golden beads on the sides. One final party and the next thing you know is your parents forcing you to study till at 3 am so you could pass the final SATs.
"You look amazing," a familiar voice called, turning her head sharply to her right, she could recognize that voice very well.
"How did you knew this was me? I didn't even speak a word yet," Rose asked, her hands making through her silver curls. "No one in this school has silver hair aside from you, madam," Lalisa Manoban said eyeing her own short navy blue dress. Rose just smiled at the response.
"So where is your Prince Charming?" Lisa asked, wiggling her eyebrows. "Probably with Taehyung or Jimin," Rose replied, her eyes scanning through the room, trying to find Jungkook. Lisa sighed heavily, "I would miss this school,"
Rose felt herself getting nostalgic, "I would too, but we got a bunch of papers before that,"
"Talking without me?" Kim Jisoo asked, she was wearing a long and loose yellow dress and no mask. Her eyes twinkled in the dark sky, and her hair glistened. "Where is your mask?" Rose asked, noticing she isn't wearing it in a damn masquerade.
"It was suffocating me," Jisoo said, dramatically but when Lisa continued to stare at her, she pulled it on. "Where are the boys?"Lisa asked, trying to find something to eat. Jisoo replied, "All of us are here except Jennie. The boys are in that corner, trying to bribe the music player,"
While the three girls chit-chatted about how the science syllabus was getting on their nerves and the six boys bribed the music player to play the songs of their choice, Jennie was late to the Masquerade because Jennie couldn't find her Lavender Scent perfume.
The first step into the room and Jennie almost screamed, "Shit, I forgot to tell mom that Taehyung would drop me,"
Jennie ran to the parking lot, hoping her mom hadn't pulled off but she did. Her mom isn't that person to check her texts. If you send her a text at 5 pm, she would probably reply by 9. Jennie was just about to dial her number when she heard the sound of a car pulling out of the driveway. "Why is someone leaving so early," Jennie thought
But then, her phone buzzed. Jennie causally opened it, but her eyes widened. This wasn't starting again.
Jennie looked at her front, in the car was XOXO? Immediately running to the room, her eyes started grazing around, her friends were nowhere to be seen. She didn't have a car, probably none of her friends had theirs today.
But then she spotted someone else in the corner, someone who could help her.
