Is there anything more peaceful than taking in the quiet beauty of a setting sun? The vibrant hues of red and orange streaking across the sky, the world exhaling softly as the day gives way to night—it's a moment many cherish. For some, it's a symbol of renewal, a pause in life's relentless march to breathe, reset, and find harmony.

At least, that's what Rumi had read in some flowery internet post.

For her, sunsets weren't about peace or romantic symbolism. They were a mark of transition—the end of a busy day and the beginning of another battle. When the sun dipped below the horizon, the worst of humanity always crawled out. She didn't have the luxury of watching the sky and daydreaming about harmony. Sunset meant chaos. It meant destruction. And she'd accepted that long ago.

It had helped her climb to the top.

Rumi was the quintessential tomboy, a woman whose reputation preceded her. Most assumed she'd never take interest in anyone weaker than her, anyone who couldn't keep up. And they were right. She was picky, with every right to be. If someone wanted her attention, they had to earn it.

She stood on the rooftop now, gazing down at the waking city below. Neon lights flickered to life, casting vivid reflections on glassy skyscrapers. The hum of traffic began to swell, and each lamppost added a soft glow to the streets. She waited patiently, though anticipation tingled at her fingertips.

Tonight's "date" would be a mix of sparring and late-night swimming—one of which she always looked forward to and the other she had agreed to after lots of consideration.  A soft thud behind her signaled his arrival.

"Took your time, didn't you?" Rumi said, not turning around, her voice laced with challenge.

"I would've been here sooner if you'd just told me where to come" Izuku grumbled as he walked up to her.

Rumi smirked, finally glancing back at him. "Where's the fun in that? If you want to find me, you've gotta try. Think of it as training."

Izuku sighed, stretching his arms. "Training for what? I don't plan on hunting 'wabbits' any time soon."

She turned fully at that, her eyes narrowing playfully. "Oh, I'll show you wabbit!"

With no further warning, she launched herself at him. Izuku stumbled back, their struggle bringing them dangerously close to the edge of the rooftop. Rumi straddled him now, gripping his shirt while his head dangled over the ledge.

"How about we take this somewhere more secluded?" He managed to say, a wry smile breaking across his face.

Before she could respond, his legs shot up, locking around her neck in a well-placed choke. With his ankles hooked behind her shoulders, she had no leverage to pry herself free.

Rumi gasped, the unexpected maneuver stealing the air from her lungs. She tapped on his stomach, signaling her surrender, and he quickly released her. She collapsed onto the rooftop with a heavy thud, laughing even as she caught her breath.

"Who the hell taught you that?" She shouted, exhilarated rather than angry.

Izuku grinned as he stood, offering her a hand to pull her up. "I've got a lot of free time, a lot of practice partners, and I've been working on my ground game."

"Ground game, huh?" Rumi laughed awkwardly, shaking out her limbs. Her excitement was palpable, and the stars in her eyes told him this "win" only fueled her further. "I've gotta say, you knocked the wind outta me, and I love it."

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck. "So... what's the plan for tonight?"

Rumi shot him a devilish grin, grabbing his hand without another word. "Follow me. You'll see."

Before he could protest, she pulled him along, both of them leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Their movements were silent, their speed nearly impossible to track, two black silhouettes dancing across the skyline.

The city fell behind them, replaced by the wide-open coastline. The salty breeze hit Izuku first, and his nose twitched instinctively.

"Are we going straight to swimming?" He asked, curious but wary of her smirk.

"Of course not."

Before he could react, Rumi's grip on his arm tightened. She twisted her body, using the momentum to sling him into the sand below. Izuku twisted mid-air, landing on his back with a loud whump as the impact sent sand flying in all directions.

"Never drop your guard around me!" She shouted triumphantly, landing with a heavy thud next to him.

Izuku grinned up at her, barely winded. "Neither should you!"

He shot a hand out from the sand, grabbing her leg and tripping her with a swift tug. Rumi hit the ground hard, but before she could retaliate, dark tendrils surged out of the sand, wrapping around her wrists and holding her in place.

Her face lit up with exhilaration. "Using your quirk now, huh? Oh, you're really asking for it!"

Izuku chuckled, brushing sand off his clothes as he stood. "I figured I might need the extra help tonight."

Rumi tugged against the shadows, but they held firm—enough to keep her down but not hurt her. She lay back in the sand, catching her breath with a lopsided grin.

"You're getting cocky, kid" She teased, her voice full of pride rather than annoyance. "But I like it."

Izuku extended his hand, and the shadows loosened, allowing her to sit up. She grabbed his hand firmly, pulling herself to her feet with a smirk.

"This is gonna be a long night for you" She warned playfully.

Meanwhile.

After a long day at work, the thought of unwinding with a late-night swim alongside two of her closest friends was all that ran through Ryuko's mind as she glided over the shimmering city skyline.

This, she knew, was a rare occurrence—especially considering Rumi of all people had agreed to join. The Rabbit Hero had always been vocal about her dislike of swimming, grumbling about how it ruined the fur of her ears and tail. So, for Rumi to indulge herself tonight? It had to be a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Unlike Rumi, though, Ryuko loved the water—particularly the cold. It calmed her down, cooling the constant warmth that came with her dragon physiology. Dragons were known for their high body temperatures, and Ryuko was no exception. In the sweltering summers, the heat drained her mercilessly, to the point where she'd joke that her sweat alone could fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Of course, that was an exaggeration—mostly.

Still, Ryuko didn't mind summer itself; it was just the oppressive heat she couldn't stand. So when opportunities to cool off came her way, especially ones that included her friends, she never passed them up.

But as she flew closer to their usual meeting spot, the calming anticipation was shattered by the sudden, unmistakable sound of a thud that echoed through the air.

Her eyes narrowed, and her instincts flared to life. What was that? she thought, her wings beating faster as she sped toward the source of the sound.

The closer she got, the clearer the scene before her became—and what she saw made her jaw drop.

The moment she landed, her eyes widened at the sight before her. "Izuku?! Rumi?!"

Izuku stood panting, his shirt torn and tossed to the side, while his shadows restrained a very excited Rumi. Both of them were covered in sand, their clothes dirty and scuffed. Rumi struggled against the tendrils with a wild grin on her face, clearly enjoying herself far too much.

"What the hell are you two doing?!" Ryuko demanded, exasperation clear in her tone.

Izuku looked up, wiping sand off his face with a sheepish smile. "Uh... sparring?"

"Training!" Rumi corrected, laughing as she tugged at the shadows still holding her back.

Ryuko stared at them for a long moment before shaking her head with a sigh. "You two are unbelievable!"

Five Minutes Later.

"Now, could you please explain to me why the hell you chose to fight here of all places?!" Ryuko's voice echoed through the night, irritation clear as she glared at the two culprits.

Izuku and Rumi exchanged a look before pointing at each other in unison. "He/She started it," They said simultaneously, only to burst out laughing a second later.

Ryuko groaned, pressing her palm to her face. "I don't... I just can't deal with this right now" She muttered aloud, her voice heavy with exhaustion. She was tired—mentally, physically, emotionally—and these two were not making things any easier.

Meanwhile, Rumi had leaned toward Izuku, whispering something with a mischievous glint in her eye. Whatever she said, it made Izuku grin as they both gave a small nod of agreement.

Before Ryuko could react, her two "friends" grabbed her hands in unison, yanking her downward.

"Wha—HEY!" She yelped, her wings instinctively flaring as she braced for impact. Except the impact never came. Instead, she found herself caught, suspended in a three-way hug.

Izuku's strong arms had her wrapped securely around the waist, his warmth pressing against her as he faced her directly. On her other side, Rumi clung to them both, her grin wide as she pinned Ryuko's legs between her own and firmly gripped Izuku's and Ryuko's arms.

"W-Wha—WHY?! What are you two doing?!" Ryuko stammered, her face flaring red as she realized just how... close they were. She could feel everything, from the hard muscles both the cat and the bunny had to Rumi's gifted chest, to his sheer presence pressing against her body.

Her squirming didn't help. Izuku's grip stayed firm, his arms slightly under her shirt, the warmth of his touch resting at her waist. On the other side, Rumi laughed softly, her own strength ensuring Ryuko couldn't even think of escaping.

"You can be really cute sometimes, Ryuko~" Rumi teased, leaning in just enough to blow lightly into the dragoness's ear.

Ryuko jumped in surprise, letting out a strangled noise, only to be dragged back down immediately by Izuku. "P-Please let me go!" She begged, her voice rising in pitch as she fought to wriggle free.

"Sure" Izuku replied casually, though the playful smirk on his face betrayed him. "But only if you promise to stay for the night swim we had planned."

Ryuko snapped her gaze toward him, glaring as best she could through her flustered state. "You cheeky cat!" She thought, trying once more to twist out of their hold.

But she quickly realized something. Rumi had her legs firmly locked against hers—and as one of the strongest heroines when it came to raw strength, there was no chance of Ryuko overpowering her.

And then there was Izuku. Between his training, his growing mastery of One For All, and his refined grappling techniques, he alone would've been impossible to escape. Together? Together, they were unstoppable.

Her heart sank as reality dawned on her. "I'm screwed..."

Ryuko let out a defeated sigh, her body slumping slightly in their hold. "Fine, fine! I'll stay for the swim, just—please let me go!" She said, her pout making her flushed face look even cuter.

Rumi grinned triumphantly. "A deal's a deal!"

With that, both Izuku and Rumi released her, and Ryuko stumbled back, crossing her arms as she tried to recover some shred of dignity. Her cheeks were still flushed as she shot them a glare.

"You two are the worst" She muttered, though the warmth in her voice betrayed the faint smile tugging at her lips.

Rumi clapped her on the back, laughing. "You'll thank us later!"

Izuku chuckled softly, brushing sand off his clothes. "It'll be fun, Ryuko. Promise."

Ryuko rolled her eyes but couldn't help the small smile that lingered. "You two are impossible," she said, though this time, she wasn't entirely complaining.

About Five Minutes Later

Ryuko had stripped down to her swimsuit—a sleek yellow two-piece she'd bought specifically for tonight. She now floated in the cold, relaxing seawater, her back to both Izuku and Rumi. Though the water worked wonders in cooling her dragon-hot body, she stubbornly refused to speak to either of them.

"Come on, don't just sit there sulking! Join us already!" Rumi called out, half buried in the water as she playfully splashed waves her way. Ryuko muttered something unintelligible in response, her words lost to the sea, but the tone of her grumbling was clear.

Izuku sighed softly, watching the scene unfold with a tinge of guilt. "We... did go a bit hard on her, Rumi" He said, running a hand through his wet hair.

"Oh, come on, Izu! Don't be such a pussy cat!" Rumi grumbled, turning toward him with an annoyed pout.

Izuku raised an eyebrow, his voice calm and measured. "Rumi, you know as well as I do that Ryuko's like me when it comes to stuff like this. And, honestly... the only reason I went along with that earlier was because I was just going with the flow. If it were me? I probably wouldn't have even gotten in the ocean."

Rumi opened her mouth to protest, but his words stuck, bouncing around in her head. She huffed and looked away.

Meanwhile, Izuku slowly approached Ryuko, his movements careful and deliberate as the water lapped gently against him. "Ryu... I'm really sorry" He said softly, the new nickname escaping his lips in a quiet, sincere tone.

Ryuko froze mid-grumble, her blush flaring across her cheeks. Ryu? That was new. She tried to respond but ended up sputtering through the water instead. "I—gurgle—ive—gurgle—ou..."

Izuku smiled faintly, easily understanding what she'd meant. Without saying another word, he extended his arms, his open expression offering the comfort she clearly needed.

Her blush deepened, and her heart pounded in her chest, but the sight of his waiting arms—gentle, steady, and warm—was impossible to resist. Damn him.

Ryuko waded closer, her movements slow and hesitant until she was within reach. The water helped her float as she straddled his waist lightly, her arms slipping around his shoulders. Izuku wrapped his arms around her carefully, his touch firm but considerate as his hands rested on her waist just above the water.

She let out a quiet, content sigh, resting her head against his shoulder and closing her eyes. The embarrassment from earlier melted away, replaced by the calm comfort of the moment. "Thanks, Izu..." She whispered softly, her voice barely audible.

Izuku smiled faintly, his arms holding her securely, his warmth spreading even in the cold sea. "Anytime, Ryu."

From her spot nearby, Rumi glared at them, her arms crossed and her face scrunched into an annoyed pout. "Geez, you two are gonna make me sick with how cuddly you're being" She called out, her voice edged with exasperation.

Ryuko smirked, her face still resting against Izuku's shoulder as she turned just enough to tease Rumi. "Sounds like you're jealous."

Rumi's cheeks flared red instantly. "What the hell do I have to be jealous of, huh?!" She snapped, crossing her arms tighter as her voice rose.

Ryuko pulled herself gently away from Izuku, who carefully loosened his hold, and turned to face Rumi head-on. The dragoness smirked, her confidence returning in full force as she swam closer. Rumi, never one to back down, swam toward her as well until the two of them were mere inches apart.

The moonlight glistened off the water cascading down their forms, emphasizing their toned curves and sharp features. The tension between them crackled like lightning as yellow and white locked in a silent battle of wills. Ryuko's smaller bust only barely made this a standoff of equals, but it was enough, her core and ass very much making it up to her.

Izuku, meanwhile, had retreated slightly, sitting back in the water with a nervous expression. The sheer aura radiating from the two women froze him in place. His mind screamed at him to intervene, but his eyes couldn't help but betray him as they flicked between the two—his brain struggling between appreciating their beauty and doing something.

Still, his heart remained pure as always. He didn't want them to fight—not really. So, taking a deep breath, Izuku steeled himself and tried to mediate.

"Uh... hey, you two... there's no reason to fight" He called out, though his voice came out softer than intended, wavering under the weight of their glares.

Ryuko smirked, her golden eyes narrowing playfully as she leaned closer to Rumi. "Sounds to me like you're just jealous that I got to Izu first~."

Rumi's blush flared deeper, her golden eyes narrowing with challenge. She leaned in as well, her voice dropping so Izuku wouldn't hear. "Please. You know as well as I do that Izuku is way too dense to realize why we're even arguing."

Ryuko let out a dramatic sigh, brushing her wet hair back with a smug smile. "Maybe. But I still can't help but boast about getting one over on you. You're always so high and mighty."

"Tch. Enjoy it while it lasts, dragon girl" Rumi shot back, the competitive glint in her eyes unwavering.

"Whatever you say, rabbit."

The two stood there, face-to-face, water dripping off them as if they'd just stepped out of a painting. The sparks in their eyes could have lit a wildfire.

Izuku, still frozen in place, couldn't decide what to do. His brain screamed for him to intervene, but he hesitated, unsure of how to step in without making things worse. Finally, he sighed, his resolve kicking in. They're going to fight if I don't stop this.

"Alright, alright! That's enough!" Izuku called out more forcefully this time, wading toward them with determination. His sudden movement startled both of them as they turned their sharp gazes toward him.

"Don't fight. Please" He said earnestly, the last part sort of weaker than the rest, his eyes meeting theirs in turn. "We came here to relax, not compete."

Ryuko blinked at his sincerity, her smirk softening slightly. Rumi sighed, looking away with an embarrassed scowl. "Fine, fine. You're too soft, Izu" She grumbled, though her shoulders relaxed.

Ryuko turned toward Izuku, her teasing grin still in place. "Well, aren't you the little peacekeeper?"

Izuku scratched his head sheepishly, his face flushed. "Just trying to keep things from getting out of hand..."

The two women exchanged glances, the competitive tension replaced with something lighter. Rumi rolled her eyes but smirked nonetheless. "You're lucky you're cute, nerd."

Izuku blinked, his blush deepening. "H-Hey!"

Ryuko laughed, patting Izuku's shoulder as she turned back toward the water. "Come on, let's just enjoy the swim. I think we've shouted enough for one night"

Rumi huffed, but followed suit. "Fine. But I'm still racing you to the deeper water."

"You're on, rabbit."

As the two dove into the water, Izuku stood there for a moment, rubbing his temples before shaking his head with a smile. They'll never change, he thought, wading in after them.
