"So, how do you feel about a bath?"

Cedric immediately hops out of bed and over to his dresser, where he pulls out the golden egg.
"I overheard Harry when he opened it in the Gryffindor Common Room. The noise that came out of it was bloody awful, so I haven't opened mine yet," he says with annoyance apparent in his tone.
"What kind of noise was it? Was it like a high pitched ringing, or screaming, or what?" I ask innocently, pretending to not know anything about it.
He winces as he recalls what it was like.
"It was just a bunch of screaming. It was so fucking loud, I'm surprised it didn't burst anyones ear drums,"
I'm not really sure how I can help him without being too suspicious, but I'll just have to do my best.
"Well, I guess we're just gonna have to find a way to make it quieter with something that drowns out the noise. There's probably a hidden message behind the screaming," I shrug.
He sits on the edge of the bed and puts his head in his hands, thinking for a minute.
I sit next to him and put my arm around his waist reassuringly, as he mutters to himself different ideas, none of them truly being the correct answer.
"Wait, I have an idea!" I say excitedly, pretending like I just came up with it right now.
He looks up with his eyebrows raised, waiting for me to continue.
"What if you open it under water?" I suggest in a low voice.
He thinks for a moment, and then his whole face lights up.
He stands and picks me up, swinging me around playfully, causing me to burst out in laughter.
"Maxwell, you're a fucking genius! How on earth did you come up with that idea?" He asks in an exasperated tone.
I shrug innocently.
"I just thought through ideas of things that could drown out noise as loud as the one you described, but not completely mute it,"
He pulls my lips to his gently, smiling into the kiss. I can practically feel the excitement and happiness radiating off of his skin.
He pulls away and looks at me with a devilish smirk on his face.
"So, how do you feel about a bath?"
I roll my eyes jokingly, but my heart rate skyrockets as he heads over to his dresser, and pulls out a pair over navy blue swim trunks.
"I'll meet you there!" I say quickly, rushing out of his room and down the stairs.
My minds clouded with the idea of Cedric and I, alone together, in the prefects bathroom.
I'm hardly watching where I'm going as I continue to think about it, when I run into a hard surface.
"Aye, watch it, Maxwell," Mason Kennedy scoffs half heartedly.
I roll my eyes and shoot him a dirty look as I pass, still upset with him for not letting me into the Hufflepuff common room right away after Cedric's and my fight.
"Look, I'm sorry about our last interaction, alright? I was only looking out for Diggory," I hear him call after me.
"Yeah, whatever," I mutter as I continue towards my common room.
When I reach my dorm, I open it and see Sabrina Finch, one of my roommates, sobbing from the edge of her bed.
I think I've only interacted with her once or twice since I've been here, but nonetheless, she's always been kind to me, so I rush over to her and take a seat at her side.
"What's wrong Sabrina?" I ask worriedly as I pull her into a comforting hug.
"It's O-Oliver, h-he broke up w-with me," she manages to say in between sobs.
Knowing her, it most likely was for a good reason, as she's not known for being good in relationships, but I bite my tongue and allow her to sob into my shoulder for a few minutes.
She backs away after a bit and looks at me, her blonde hair tangled, and her green eyes glistening.
"Thanks, Bella. I k-know we haven't been the best of friends, but I do appreciate it a lot," she smiles as I hear our door swing open.
"Oh no, Sab, what happened?!" Aliya exclaims as she makes her way over to us.
Since Eleanor, Kira, and I have always been super close, and gotten along with each other better than we did with our other two roommates, that caused them to grow tremendously close over the years.
I leave them to talk, and head over to my dresser to pick out a swimsuit.
I end up deciding on a dark green, bandeau, top, and a pair of jet black bottoms with a wavy rim all around.
I step into the bathroom and pull the swimsuit on, admiring how it hugs my body in the mirror.
The bikini is quite simple, but it's elegant in its coloring and design.
I pull on a few layered necklaces to make it a little less basic, and throw my hair up into two messy french braids, pulling out two strands that frame my face.
I head out of the bathroom, and over to my dresser once more, throwing on a sheer white cover up.
"Where do you plan on going swimming?" I hear Sabrina chuckle from her bed.
I turn to her and see that her crying has subsided, and she's started to redo her smeared mascara.
"The prefects bathroom," I shrug with a smug look on my face.
Aliya perks up when I say that.
"Oh yeah? With who?" She teases.
I raise my eyebrows as if she should know the answer.
"The pretty Hufflepuff boy. Cedric Diggory, of course!" Sabrina laughs like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Oh yeah! I completely forgot that you guys were dating!" Aliya exclaims with her eyes wide.
I chuckle as I step out of the dorm, making my way towards the prefects bathroom.
Luckily, most people are outside today since it's gorgeously sunny, so I don't pass many people on my way.
I eventually reach the huge portrait door that has a mermaid on it, almost identical to the one made of stained glass inside.
Luckily for me, I don't have to be a prefect to have access to this bathroom. Quidditch captains also have access, so I've come here a few times over the years.
Rather than saying a password, we're required to show either our prefects badge, or our captain certificate.
"Accio certificate," I mutter, flicking my wand.
It lands in my hand after a moment, and I hold it up for the gorgeous mermaid who nods.
I step inside of the humongous, steaming bathroom, which the house elves always keep warm so the water heats up faster.
I head over to the massive tub, and turn on all of the faucets which stream down water of all different colors, but they land in the bath as clear.
The tub fills quickly, and I take one of the small, magic, tablets from a little basket on the side.
I toss it into the water, and the tub immediately fills with beautiful bubbles all around.
"Wicked," I say under my breath, quoting Fred and George.
I step over the rim, and into the warm water, which is the perfect temperature.
I walk through the water, which is up to my chest, and over to the other side, where I take a seat on the underwater bench by one of the jets.
I swirl my hand around the water, admiring the sparkling bubbles, and the shimmer that the water gives off.
I eventually hear the door swing open, and I pray it's Cedric, rather than some random person.
He steps around the corner, and my eyes immediately fall from his devilishly handsome face, to his toned stomach.
He runs his fingers through his hair absentmindedly, which causes his muscles to flex, and I'm able to see his toned V line for a second.
He eventually spots me, and his smile lights up his entire face.
I step out of the warm water, unable to stand being away from him any longer.
He watches with admiring eyes as I jog over to him, pulling him into a gentle kiss.
He eventually backs away and looks me up and down, subconsciously biting his inner cheek.
"Fuck, you are so beautiful," he whispers, pulling my lips back to his passionately for a second time.
I smile into the kiss at his compliment, running my fingers through his messy hair.
His hands meet my bare waist, and he pulls me even closer to him, completely lost in the moment between the two of us.
I eventually back away, chilled from being out of the water, and lead him over to the tub where I was sitting before.
He climbs in the water next to me, setting the golden egg on the ground just outside of the rim.
His hand meets the side of my face softly, and he turns my head so I'm meeting his silver eyes, full of desire. His eyes move down to my lips, and mine do the same, as he pulls me into him once again.
Our lips move in sync passionately, as his hand meets my thigh. He pulls my leg over him so I'm straddling him on the bench, not breaking the kiss.
I feel his metal rings pressing against my skin, which causes me to sigh, allowing him leeway to slip his tongue in, which only increases the electricity.
My hands run along his abs, which causes his grip on me to tighten out of lust, softly biting my lower lip.
I eventually break away, breathless from the heated make out session.
"You're gonna be the death of me, you know that?" He jokes as his thumb runs along my bottom lip gently.
I give him a teasing smile as I move off of him, and grab the egg, handing it to him.
He takes the egg in his broad hands, and looks at it with wondering eyes.
"Well, here goes nothing," he shrugs, before submerging under the water, and opening the top.
I stay above the surface, but I can hear the angelic like music through the water.
I hum the song aloud, having mesmerized it from the amount of times I'd seen the fourth movie.
Come and seek us where our voices sound
We cannot sing above the ground
An hour long you'll have to look
To discover what we took
He comes above the water, wringing his hair out and rubbing his eyes.
I look at him, waiting for him to say whatever he can make from the message.
"Well your plan worked..." he trails off.
I turn him to face me, questioning in my eyes.
"What is it?" I ask, wondering why he said it like that.
"The problem is, I don't know what the bloody song means," he chuckles, wrapping his free arm around my shoulder.
I laugh.
"Well, if you tell me what it said, then maybe I could help you," I suggest, realizing it may come off as suspicious if I already know what the message was.
He chuckles and nods, a small blush creeping up on his face for a reason I can't quite pinpoint.
I then understand the reason for his blushing, when he starts to sing the message to me in his own beautiful, deep voice.
"I'll never get tired of your voice," I smile when he finishes, causing him to hide his face in his hands, embarrassed.
It's really adorable seeing him like this, as he's usually super confident and put together all the time.
"Okay, so they can't sing above the ground, meaning they must be coming from water. That much is obvious," I shrug, changing the subject.
He nods and pulls out his wand.
"Accio notebook,"
A moment later, his notebook flies through a vent, and lands beside us out of the water.
He dries off his hands quickly, and starts to write down what I said.
"Come and seek us where our voices sound. That means under water we're going to be following their singing voices, whatever the creatures are, and they'll have to be quite loud, so there'll have to be many of them in order for us to be able to hear their voices over the sound of the water and other creatures down there," he mutters partially to himself, and partially to me as he quickly scribbles down his thoughts.
A soft smile spreads on my face as I watch him run his hands through his hair, deep in thought.
"An hour long you'll have to look. So that means, we're gonna have to figure out a way to allow you to stay under water for an hour without breathing," I say apprehensively, causing his eyebrows to furrow at the sudden conflict.
He suddenly snaps his head up, a lightbulb going off in his head.
"I remember there was a certain spell my father was telling me about over summer while trying to catch me up for school," he says, trying to recall the memory.
I nod at him eagerly, urging him to continue.
"There was some spell that could produce a huge bubble like thing around a wizards nose, allowing him to breathe under water for a certain period of time," he continues as he pinches between his eyes, desperately trying to remember the spell.
I rub his back reassuringly, letting him process his thoughts.
After a few unsuccessful minutes of trying to remember the spell, I take his face in my hands gently.
"Cedric, don't be so hard on yourself. You still have a whole three weeks until the next challenge. Plus, we can go to the library and search every single book if we have to. You don't have to remember everything right this minute,"
He seems to relax at my words, and soon after, and hands find their way back around my waist, pulling me into him once more.
-
A few hours later, we lay on his bed, relaxing in each other's arms, just talking about anything and everything.
A/N: I took this next conversation from Samine's Wattpad "Golden Boy". It's not my original idea.
"Okay, but hear me out, her eyes are crazy realistic. There's no way Mrs. Norris is just a cat," he insists, as I'm clutching my stomach from laughing so hard.
"Cedric, if Mrs. Norris was a person, Filch would want nothing to do with her. He hates people, and his only friends are animals," I manage to say in between giggles, which causes him to burst out in his loud, hearty laugh.
"But Bella, I swear to you, I saw Mrs. Norris and Mcgonagall having a conversation as cats one time! I could tell, they were using morse code with their eyes-"
He's suddenly cut off by a loud knock outside the door, which startles me, causing me to jump.
"I wonder who that could be," he shrugs as he heads over to the door.
When he pulls it open, no ones there.
"Stupid ding dong ditchers," he grumbles, about to close the door, but I see something shine from the ground right outside the door.
"Wait, Cedric," I stop him, scrambling to my feet and hurrying over.
I bend down and pick up the shiny envelope from the floor, examining it with wondering eyes.
"Well go on then. Open it," Cedric insists once we reach his bed.
I tear open the shiny envelope, and pull out a small slip of paper.
I flip it over, and see messy handwriting that looks all too familiar scrawled across the page.
