third p.o.v.

Y/N slipped into her jeans, buttoning them on and cuffing them at the bottom. She was excited for the day ahead, that was undeniable. She even woke up before Akaashi in a great mood. Though she couldn't tell if it was because of the start of the new year or because of the plans she and Akaashi had for the day. Either way, it didn't matter. Today the couple was going to spend the day with their friends and each other. It was going to be great.

"Y/N, baby, come eat breakfast, please!" Akaashi called out from the kitchen. He was setting a plate for his girlfriend, having already eaten breakfast himself. Now it was his turn to change and her turn to eat.

"Going!" Happily, Y/N left the bedroom, the one she could practically call hers after these last few months. The smell of breakfast made her stomach churn a little. It was still a bit early, and she didn't necessarily feel like eating. But she knew once they were out and about, she'd regret the choice to not eat. At least the food actually smelled good. "You say my name a lot more often lately," Y/N commented.

Akaashi laughed, his back turned to her as he set down a glass of her favorite juice. "To desensitize you. I like it, and I like saying it, but you get all weird when I use it."

He turned around and their eyes locked. Wide smiles were now etched on both of their faces. It was like the two were lost in a trance. Akaashi took a few steps towards Y/N and placed a hand up her jaw, tilting her face to plant a kiss on her lips softly.

"You look pretty as always," he said, tracing the shape of her lips with his thumb. "I'm gonna go get ready. Then we can go after you're finished eating." He nudged his nose against hers, taking note of the way her cheeks were now tinted in a light shade of pink.

~

Bokuto paced the room excitedly, his now teen aged pup bouncing around his legs just as energetically. Bokuto, like his friends, was excited for the day ahead. He couldn't imagine anything better than spending the day with his best friends and his girlfriend. He was a people person, after all.

The sounds of Lilith's barks snapped him out of his excited daze and he realized there were knocks at the door. Bokuto left his room, but not before checking his hair looked presentable and double checking his clothes were on right. He walked through the house, making his way to the front door. He looked through the peephole to see his best friend, his best friend's girlfriend, and his own girlfriend all outside.

"Hey, hey, hey! Come in!" Greetings were made between the friends, smiles exchanged.

"Hi, Kōtarō," Laila said, placing a kiss on her boyfriend's cheek.

"Mm-mm. No cheek kisses," Bokuto said firmly, tilting her face to kiss her lips instead.

Y/N and Akaashi laughed behind them. "Looks like you were right," Y/N said as soon as the other two pulled away from their kiss.

Laila rolled her eyes playfully. "What'd I tell you? Kou doesn't like cheek kisses unless we're cuddling."

"You talk about me?" Bokuto asked, a smile on his face and an eyebrow raised.

"Constantly," Laila replied, her voice laced in amused sarcasm.

"Do you talk about me?" Akaashi asked Y/N jokingly.

"Constantly," Y/N said, in the same tone Laila had used.

The four teens went to the living room to lounge around, making conversation while they waited for everyone else to arrive. Half the group was still missing. From the other four, surprisingly the next to arrive were Ennoshita and Amari, despite being the ones with the longest distance to travel. Y/N had invited them after Bokuto mentioned he had two more tickets for the festival and was leaning towards inviting another couple. She was actually surprised they made the arrangements on such short notice. The only downside was the pair had to take an early morning train to get to Bokuto's by 10 and would have to leave earlier than everyone else so Ennoshita could get Amari home a decent amount of time before the clock struck twelve.

The last to arrive were Kuroo and Kenma. According to Kuroo, the reason they arrived a bit later was because Kenma fell asleep late (playing videogames, of course), and it was hard to wake him up. Kenma laughed as Kuroo apologized profusely to the others, not feeling any quilt because it wasn't like they were actually late. But he knew his boyfriend was a bit nuts-o when it came to punctuality. The good thing was the group wasn't going to leave until around 11.

~

"You all have cars, so why the hell are we taking the bus?" asked Kenma in annoyance, plopping down next to Y/N on the bus seat.

"Because to park at the festival designated parking lot would be almost as expensive as the tickets themselves," Bokuto said bluntly.

"Bokuto-san, you didn't even buy the tickets. They were given to you," Akaashi pointed out. Y/N hit her palm to her forehead. Of course it was her boyfriend that was going to say something like that.

"Exactly! Save the money for the booths and food, not parking. Tch," he muttered the last part, sticking out his lips in a puckered pout.

Glances were passed around the group. They were all thinking the same thing. Say something nice before he goes emo mode.

"And we appreciate it. Don't we?" Laila gave Bokuto a genuine smile, then turned to the group with raised brows.

Mumbles of agreement came around the group. Bokuto perked up, feeling appreciated. Everyone sighed in relief, emo mode having been avoided.

Well, almost everyone. Amari watched the whole situation play out, her head tilted in confusion. She was new to the group after all, she had yet to meet anyone from Tokyo besides Akaashi. Ennoshita noticed this, tapping her shoulder and laughing lightly.

"I'll explain later," he whispered with a smile. "This group is pretty eccentric."

~

The bus ride took about an hour, as expected since they were traveling deeper into the city.

The three who lived in Miyagi looked around in astonishment as soon as they reached the festival. Miyagi definitely did not look like this. The others walked in casually. It was the same festival they'd been going to every year. But it was exciting getting to share the experience with someone else, admittedly.

"Where to first?" Kuroo asked, deciding to take on a leadership like role in the group. He received shrugs in response. His shoulders slumped. "Really? That's the best you can come up with?"

Bokuto pat Kuroo's back. "Well we all know the rides are better at night with the pretty lights. We have about four, maybe five hours 'til sunset. So that leaves shopping, eating and games."

"Why don't we all do our own thing for a bit and meet up to eat at these tables?" Y/N suggested, pointing to the picnic tables that were nearby. "After we can all play games and hang out before rides tonight."

Everyone agreed and set a time to meet up before going separate ways.

"What do you want to do, love?" Akaashi asked, pulling Y/N into his side.

Y/N thought for a few seconds. "Let's get out of here."

Akaashi looked at her, brows furrowed. "Is something wrong?"

"No! Absolutely not. It's just... I saw the shrine down the street that's hosting the matsuri. I kinda wanted to go. We have the wristbands, so access is open to us if we leave for a bit. But we don't have to if you don't want to," Y/N added the last part in a rush, not wanting to force Akaashi to do something he didn't want to do.

Akaashi's gaze softened. "We can go. Come on."

Hand in hand the couple left the festival, Akaashi leading them down the packed street. It didn't take long to reach the shrine, one out of the thousands in Tokyo alone. Akaashi noticed Y/N looked a bit excited as she searched for the omamori she wanted. A warm smile found its way to his lips. His thoughts wandered to the night Y/N met his parents, remembering the comment his mother had made. I saw his father's smile tonight each time he looked at you. It was true. It was because every time he looked at Y/N felt like the first, an exciting rush of emotions rippling through him.

Y/N finally found the charm she was looking for, smiling to herself as she cupped it in her hand. Silently she walked from the stall to the actual shrine, carefully getting on her knees and bowing her head. The whole time she felt Akaashi's eyes on her, a warm blush on her cheeks. When she finished, Y/N opened her eyes, taking another look at the charm. The love talisman, enmusubi. Shocking, right? I hope things continue to be this good in the new year, Y/N thought to herself as she stood up. Hands were placed on her shoulders, a chilled kiss on her cheek. Akaashi.

"You ready?" Y/N nodded, smiling. "What omamori did you get?"

Embarrassed, Y/N held it out. "Enmusubi."

Akaashi smiled, removing his glove and running his fingers over the silky cloth. "Here, I'll tie it to your bag." Akaashi took the charm and undid the knot, looping the delicate thread through the hole of a zipper on Y/N's small backpack she was wearing and then tying a knot to secure it. "There you go."

"Thank you," Y/N mumbled, suddenly feeling very bashful. She looked away from her boyfriend in attempts to hide her, very obviously, flushed face.

Akaashi noticed this and laughed to himself. He draped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his side and kissing the side of her head, lingering his lips by her ear. "I love you, so much," he whispered.

Y/N felt goosebumps rise on her skin. She turned to face him, giving him a shy smile. "I love you, too."

They made their way back to the festival, their absence unnoticed by the others. Akaashi took Y/N to some of his favorite games as a kid, urging her to play with him. Y/N couldn't help but give in, especially when he looked like he was having so much fun. It was one of the rare times his smile never left his face, not once. Sure, he smiled more than usual when they were together, but his face still tended to rest expressionless when things calmed down like when they ate, watched a movie, played card games and such things.

Before they knew it, it was time for everyone to meet back together to eat. Everyone bought what they were going to eat prior to returning to the picnic table they were to meet at. On time, they all reached the meeting spot and sat down. On one bench sat Akaashi, Y/N, Amari and Ennoshita and opposite to them sat Bokuto, Laila, Kenma and Kuroo.

The group talked about what they had done the last couple of hours, showing off prizes and things they'd bought. It was like the eight of them were in their own bubble, having normal teenage fun and truly living in the moment.

Kuroo even took the opportunity to hit Kenma with a pick-up line. Kuroo turned to his partner, an obnoxious smirk on his face. "I like gold, but without the 'A'," he said in a flirtatious voice.

In sync, everyone except for Bokuto and Kenma dropped their head, their shoulders moving in disappointed laughter. Kenma stared blank faced at Kuroo, trying to fathom the idea they were dating. Then there was Bokuto who was confused because there is no letter a in the word gold.

"I don't get it," the owl-like boy whispered to his girlfriend.

Laila laughed a little harder, putting a hand on Bokuto's shoulder. She took a deep breath to keep the laughter in. "Baby, d- do you remember the chemical symbol for gold?" she asked calmly, choking back laughter.

Bokuto thought back to chemistry class. School wasn't his strong suit. Surprisingly, it came to him. "Au."

"Okay, so remove the a."

"U."

"Right. Kuroo-san said he likes gold without the A."

Bokuto's brows knitted, putting a finger to his chin. After a few seconds, it seemed like a light bulb went off above his head. "Oh! I get it! That was a good one, Tetsu," Bokuto complimented.

Kuroo's pained expression from the blatant rejection he received from Kenma changed into one of pride. "I know," he bragged, looking around the table to only be met with blank expressions. His smile dropped once again. "Seriously? The rest of you hated it, too?"

Y/N spoke up. "Please, it was a pitiful excuse of a pick-up line."

"And you can do better?" Kuroo retorted, crossing his arms and raising a brow.

Y/N thought to herself for a couple seconds before turning to Akaashi and smiling sweetly, his cheeks immediately turning even pinker, but instead of the cold it was because of the girl beside him. "Do you play volleyball? Because I sure dig ya," Y/N said, ending with a wink.

Murmurs of approval came from the others, impressed that she made the pick-up line volleyball related. Even Kenma sent small praise to Y/N, irritating Kuroo further.

Akaashi smiled and decided he'd try out a pick-up line himself. "Your lips look lonely, would they like to meet mine?" Y/N laughed and pecked his lips.

"My turn, my turn!" Bokuto exclaimed, shifting so he set with the bench in between his legs. He took Laila's hand, his child-like wonder leaving his face and turning into a charming smirk. "Do you have a name, or can I call you mine?" Laila blushed at his sultry voice. Bokuto really knew how to just flip a switch and change the way he spoke.

Pick-up lines start coming from around the table from each couple, Kenma and Kuroo eventually joining in. Like the teenagers they are, everyone ended up with flushed cheeks at the words of their partners. Soon the excited chatter and exchange died down to where everyone was laughing at others' cheesy lines (and subtle sexual innuendos because, duh, teens have dirty minds, whether they'd like to admit it or not).

"A little less than a couple more hours until sundown," Ennoshita pointed out, everyone nodding at what he was insinuating.

The small bits of trash that hadn't already been thrown were gathered and tossed in a trash bin nearby. Then the group made its way to booths they hadn't already been to or 'were totally missing out on' according to other members. As promised, until the sun had set, the group went around many of the stalls, each person holding at least two prizes in their hands. And that's because almost everyone had brought a bag of some sort to carry items they had anticipated would accumulate during the day.

They even had time to watch parts of some of the other attractions such as flower displays, folk dancing, folk singing, small concerts, kimono shows and floats passing by in the parade, along with other things. Everyone was entranced by the beautiful colors around them, making the winter day feel so bright.

In silent understanding, as the lights began to shine brightly under the darkening sky, the teens made their way through the crowd towards the rides.

"Kou, we're totally doing the bumper cars," Y/N said, challenging the older male.

As expected, Bokuto did not refuse. "You're so on! Who's joining?"

Kuroo let go of Kenma's hand, kissing his cheek and then walking over to the other two. "I'm in."

No one else decided to join, preferring to stay out of the way of the three who were notorious for being frighteningly competitive. They watched from the side as Kuroo, Y/N and Bokuto strapped themselves into the karts, giddy and determined. Immediately they began crashing into each other, making the others wince. It looked like a lot of force, the only thing keeping their partners and friends from freaking out were their relaxed and happy smiles, the collisions having little to no effect.

"That was so much fun!" Y/N cheered, stepping down onto the firm ground. Akaashi didn't waste time to pat her down, lifting her arms and looking into her eyes, almost like he was searching for signs of concussion. "Keiji, babe, what in the world-"

"Those karts are dangerous-"

"I don't see you checking Kuroo or Bokuto," she joked, grabbing his hands and placing them on her face. "You're cute when you're worried."

Akaashi pouted, rubbing his thumbs on her cheek. "See what you do to me? Making me worry," he mumbled, leaning in to kiss her forehead.

"Helicopter boyfriend, fun." Y/N smiled widely, standing on her toes to kiss his lips. "I don't have a brain bleed, no concussion, mm let's see... no bruises, cuts, scratches. The epitome of health," she teased, grabbing his hand and walking with him behind the others.

"Don't say that! You'll jinx it," Akaashi groaned.

"Okay, okay!" Y/N laughed, leaning into Akaashi's side as they walked.

"Y/N! Hurry the hell up, or we'll leave you behind!" Ennoshita called out.

Y/N gaped at him. "I'm not the only one back here, y'know!"

Ennoshita gave his bestfriend a grin. "But you're the only one I can talk to like that."

"The audacity of this bi-"

"Sorry! We're going," Akaashi called out, purposely cutting Y/N off and tugging her arm gently so they could catch up with everyone else. Y/N grumbled about her bestfriend beside him, making him laugh and shush her, silencing her words and distracting her with a few kisses on her lips. "Play nice," he whispered.

"I hear that too often lately," Y/N mumbled to herself, laughing.

The group headed to a few more rides until the night sky was in full swing, stars shining bright and the fairy lights on the stalls giving everything a beautiful glow. Everyone was unquestionably happy, lively chatter amongst each other. The trivial stress about everyday life was gone.

But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

"Hey, kid, we gotta go," Ennoshita whispered to Y/N.

"Already? Can't you spare another hour or so?"

"Sure, if you're gonna call Oikawa-san yourself and somehow convince him to let me bring his sister home at like three in the morning," he deadpanned, Amari laughing beside him. Her brother may not seem scary to her, but she acknowledged that he somehow seemed intimidating to others.

Y/N actually considered this option before shaking the thought off. It was a bit unrealistic. "Fair enough. Traffic's gonna be a bitch anyway," she replied, smiling at the two.

Ennoshita and Amari said their goodbyes to the other couples and Akaashi, speaking alone with Y/N once again.

"Hey, Y/N, thanks for inviting us. Your Tokyo friends are pretty cool," Amari said, giving the other girl a hug.

"Of course, Ama-chan. It was nice to hang out with you outside of work." Y/N pulled away, giving her a smile and turning to Ennoshita. "Text me when you get home. I'll talk to you tomorrow," she said, now giving him a hug as well.

"Will do. Bye, Y/N-chan." Ennoshita kissed Y/N's temple.

"Later, Chikara." Y/N leaned in to whisper in his ear. "Everyone liked her."

Ennoshita sighed in relief, loosening his hold on his bestfriend. "That's great."

"Told you, you had nothing to worry about. Alright, get going. You good on your own?"

"Yeah, we're good."

They gave each other a smile and Ennoshita walked off, waving at everyone else and then putting an arm around Amari so they could get to the festival's exit.

Akaashi walked up to Y/N, snaking an arm around her waist. "Sucks he couldn't stay the night."

Y/N shrugged. "Chikara wanted to make sure she got home okay. I'm sure if it were different he would've taken the invite to stay at your place."

"Maybe," Akaashi agreed, guiding Y/N back to where everyone else was standing by a food booth, snacking on desserts. "One more ride and we'll be going ourselves."

"Really?" she asked. "I thought we were staying for the hanabi show."

"I wanted to take you to a different one, if that's alright," he replied, a sly smile on his face. "It'll take a while to get there, which is why I wanna go soon."

Y/N eyed him, but as soon as she saw his plotting smile, she knew she should just trust Akaashi. "Okay, then. What ride is next?" she asked as they neared the group.

"Ferris wheel!" everyone shouted in unison.

"But that's usually something you do right before you leave, or at least I'd think so," Y/N said questioningly.

"We all had our individual plans for tonight," Kuroo said, a smirk creeping on his face.

Kenma scrunched his nose, moving from under his boyfriend's arm and in between Y/N and Laila. "Don't say it with that face, it's creepy," he said, eyeing Kuroo.

Kuroo dropped his head. "I can't catch a break today."

Y/N and Laila laughed, simultaneously removing their boyfriends' arms from around them and holding on to both of Kenma's. The three silently walked off, Akaashi, Bokuto and Kuroo walking behind them with pouts since they were left alone.

"Do you think Kenma could pull them?" Bokuto asked, half-joking.

The other two tilted their heads. Akaashi was first to speak. "Possibly."

"He likes them, a lot. Not as much as Shrimpy, but close," Kuroo said, bitterness in his voice. Bokuto and Akaashi laughed at his tone. "I know, I know. Typical jealous boyfriend."

"Kozume wouldn't leave you. His affection just comes in phases. We know that, you know that. Don't fret," Akaashi offered.

"You meet the girl of your dreams and suddenly you're a relationship expert," Bokuto said teasingly.

Akaashi looked at Y/N, who was laughing at something either Laila or Kenma had said. "I notice things more. We'll leave it at that."

The six of them walked to where they would end the night: the Ferris wheel. They were actually relieved to have arrived at the time they did, the line was massive. They had enough time to wait in line, ride the ride, and then make their way to whatever each couple had planned to do before midnight to celebrate the new year. While they waited they held a conversation, Bokuto and Kuroo taking more control of the it as expected. Stories were exchanged, all slightly embarrassing at least one person from the group. This continued until finally they were all at the front of the line.

"Next!" the person managing the ride called out.

Akaashi bowed and extended an arm, motioning for Y/N to step in first. "M'lady."

Y/N giggled, walking in. "Dork."

Akaashi straightened up, following her. "There's no need for name calling," he said, feigning hurt.

Y/N gave him a wide smile. "My dork."

Akaashi smiled, sitting across from her in the cabin, giving the worker a thumbs up. Slowly they moved up. "I'll admit... the 'my' makes it better."

"I knew it would," she replied, grinning.

Akaashi noticed her stuffing her hands in her coat pockets, curling up to warm herself. "C'mere babe." Y/N stood and sat next to him on his side of the cabin. He put an arm around her pulling her into him. "For this time of year, today wasn't that cold."

She nodded. "Yeah. But now that the sun's down, it feels like it usually does."

Akaashi started laughing, making Y/N look up at him confused. "When did we become the couple that talks about the weather?"

Y/N laughed with him. "Dunno, but I don't mind. I just like being with you."

The two stayed quiet as the cabin moved up the circular path, admiring the lights in the area. It was peaceful silence, both of them basking in each other's presence. As each cabin does, theirs eventually stopped at the very top. Y/N stood up, carefully to not rock the cabin, and put her face to the flimsy material that acted as a window of some sort.

"Tokyo is pretty," she mumbled, her voice barely audible.

Akaashi stood up and walked up behind her, resting one of his hands on her hip. He looked out the window too, seeing the different colors of lights. It was the city he grew up in, nothing new. But strangely, tonight, Tokyo looked the prettiest it ever has in his 17 years. "It is," he whispered.

He let Y/N look out the window for a little bit, enjoying her lit up, sparkling eyes. Knowing they had very little time left that they would be at the very top, he gently turned her around, putting his hand to her cheek. A small, soft, comforting smile was on his face as he looked into her eyes, complete adoration in his own.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked in a whisper.

Y/N broke out in a smile. "I would like it very much if you did."

Their lips connected in a sweet kiss. Their hearts beat in sync, souls connected. They both knew there would be nothing more perfect than what they were feeling.

Then the cabin started to move, making them pull away from the kiss and cling onto each other in surprise. They both laughed, waiting until it was safe to sit back down to settle back down on the bench, arms wrapped around each other. The rest of the ride went smoothly, Akaashi and Y/N engaged in conversation about the prizes they'd won during the day.

The couple met back with everyone after the ride.

"I'm ready to go home," Kenma yawned. He looked very cat-like as he yawned and stretched.

Y/N laughed. "Didn't you wake up later than all of us?"

Kenma shrugged, falling against Kuroo's back. "This was draining."

"Wanna get on, kitten?" Kuroo offered, reaching an arm back to touch Kenma's arm. In response, Kenma looped his arms around Kuroo's neck. Kuroo bent down to let Kenma jump on and held him up by his thighs. "Everyone ready to go?"

The other two couples made sure they had everything and nodded. The six teens marveled about their day as they walked towards the exit of the festival.

"Kenma's rubbing off on me," Y/N mumbled, leaning her head on Akaashi's shoulder.

"Ditto," Laila muttered, placing her palm to her forehead, tightening the hold she had on Bokuto's hand.

"Nuh-uh, you can't be sleepy. Gotta make it to midnight," Bokuto said, running his surprisingly warm hand on Laila's cheek.

"Midnight's overrated, happy new year!" Y/N said in a fake peppy voice.

Akaashi laughed from beside her. "Says the one who was talking my ear off about having a new years kiss-"

"Babe!"

"Gotcha," Akaashi said, smirking at his girlfriend. "You seem more awake now."

~

"Sweetheart, we're here." Akaashi rubbed Y/N's arm gently.

Y/N groaned, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Where's here?"

"That's the surprise, sleepyhead. Come on." He helped her stand up and grabbed their bags, walking out of the bus. "I'm surprised you actually fell asleep."

"That nap was glorious," she said, running a hand through her hair. "What time is it, anyway?"

"Not too far from 12. Hold my hand, please."

"Don't have to ask me twice." Y/N laced her fingers through his, letting him pull her through the small crowd of people. She noticed the salty smell of the air. Where were they? She looked around, making sure the hold on Akaashi's hand was tight so they wouldn't be pulled apart. Y/N noticed the sign on a stony wall. "A beach?"

"You finally got it," said Akaashi, sending her a grin. "You'll love it. I know you will."

"Keiji, you are full of surprises."

Akaashi led them to the sand and made it so they were walking along the shore. The chilling air felt different by the water. Not better, not worse.

"So, why the beach? Is there a story?" Y/N asked.

"Many, many moons ago," Akaashi began, earning a giggle from Y/N, "my parents brought me here on a whim because whatever plans we had were canceled. I remember how beautiful everything looked, especially the way the fireworks looked in the sky and reflected in the water. Since then I swore I would make it a tradition with the person I loved and my kids, if I ever had any. So of course I had to bring you."

Y/N looked at Akaashi as he spoke, smiling at his expression as he recalled the memory. "I'm honored that you brought me."

"You should be," Akaashi said flatly before laughing.

"I can't imagine anyone else by my side, baby," he said sincerely, looking down to meet her eyes.

The faint noise of fireworks popping in the distance caught their attention. They both looked down at their watches. 11:58. Two more minutes and they'd enter the new year together.

"Keiji?"

"Y/N?"

Y/N bit back the tears of happiness and stopped walking, looking towards the ocean, preparing herself for what she'd see. She took in the lights of the city behind her twinkling on the surface of the water. Akaashi stood beside her.

"I love you, so much."

"I love you more."

"Impossible."

Suddenly the sky was filled with amazing, surging colors. The loud pop and cracks of fireworks would be deafening to most, but in this moment, neither cared. This was their moment. They were together. They were happy. They'd found each other. They belonged to one another in a way that meant more than they knew.

They watched in wonderment at the light show in front of them, but not without stealing glances at the other, smiling even wider at their expressions of pure joy.

Akaashi took initiative, grabbing both of Y/N's hands in his. His thumbs rubbed over her knuckles, a deep, thoughtful look on his face.

"You're mine, and I'm yours," he said.

And with that he leaned in, attaching their lips. The kiss was delicate and soft, similar to their love for one another. It wasn't rushed, it wasn't hungry. It was like they were speaking to each other, trying to pour out their abundance of raw, meaningful emotions. Their hands separated, finding their way to the other's face to deepen the kiss. The slow pace continued, warmth spreading through their bodies.

They knew.

As long as they had each other, everything was okay. More than okay.

Everything just fit.
