It was a new day at the Institute, and Magnus and Brynne were once again back there. Isabelle, Magnus, Lydia, and Brynne were walking down the main center of the Institute when Alec joins them
"Any word from the Clave?" Isabelle asks the blonde while Magnus holds one of Jace's shirts out in disgust
"Not yet and we've been trying for the past four hours. Something's up," Lydia answers as Magnus tries to hand off the piece of clothing to Brynne who just moves out of the way
Magnus looks around at the group as they stop at a table with screens, "Hmm, the Clave being unhelpful? Who's shocked? Show of hands?"
"I'm worried. I can't sense Jace through our parabatai bond," Alec speaks up
"We'll find him, Alexander" Magnus reassures him before walking to the side to have some privacy to do his spell
"When we arrested Hodge, he said Valentine was on a ship," Isabelle says looking around the table, "They must still be over water."
"Smart," Brynne nods needing to give Valentine props for knowing how to stay off the radar
"Pull up the waterways around New York" Lydia instructs making Isabelle create New York as a hologram on the table

"The ship couldn't have gone too far," Isabelle mumbles as she focuses on the holograms before her
While Isabelle was creating New York with her hands Alec turns to Magnus and asks, "Anything?"
"Sorry," Magnus replies still trying to use his magic to find Jace
"There's gotta be something!" Alec exclaims making Brynne turn to look at Magnus who was ready to swear at the Shadowhunter
"Here, let me try," Brynne speaks up taking the shirt from Magnus and closing her eyes before she can spot the worried look he gave her
Brynne starts to work her magic but with so many wards having been placed on the Institute by various warlocks, Brynne's magic starts to fire back at her. The electricity surrounding her body traveled to her hands and to the grey shirt and soon burnt it.
The fire touching her skin makes Brynne open her eyes and drop the shirt to the ground before stomping the fire out. Brynne looks over at Alec and shakes her head in disappointment not seeing anything that could lead them to Jace
At the news, Alec turns to the crowd of Shadowhunters in the room gaining their attention by commanding them, "All right, listen up! I want 24/7 monitoring of the Hudson and the East Rivers. If you see anything unusual, you come to me first."
