Mid term break comes after every mid term test and it is something that makes every student happy. My school, B.H.S's midterm break is for a whole week. Before the break, we were advised to read and study more but students love to play and have fun more that's what brings us to.....

   "Let's play t or d." Alex said.

They all nodded agreeing to play the game. Jade even squealed making everyone wonder if she had never played it before.

"I don't like this game." I said out of nowhere.

Because I swear to God, if anyone dares me to kiss Kelly, I'd just puke...

"Me too, let's play something else." Dindu said, looking up from his phone.

"Aww, such a sweet brother but what happens to the rest of us that likes the game?" Jade asked.

"I don't like the game too." Mide said.

"You know what, if you both are doing this because of me, don't worry eh, I'll just go and get us some more chewing gums, xoxo." I said as I got up.

"Who the fuck says xoxo in real life when you can just give actual hug and kisses?" Kelly asked.

"Mind the businesses that pays you." I retorted whilst walking away from them and into a tuck shop.

I got a pack of candy instead of chewing gum because the candy looked amazing and the number of candies in the pack was more than the gums. I decided not to go and meet them at once. I watched other people playing different games around the stadium for almost an hour before I remembered that I came with people that may be worried.

Mide texted me this morning that we should hang out in the stadium today. We, that's him, Wendy and I. I just thought It'd be much better if Jade came with us for my own sake. I can't stand being ignored.

When I was telling Jade, Dindu overheard and he said he felt like coming with us. It was actually a surprise because since his mum came back on Saturday, he hasn't even talked to anybody or even gone out. He has been behaving like a ghost, so unlike Dindu. Dad travelled so he was crashing with us for the main time. I couldn't help but nod when he asked and guess what? He came with his whole squad, Kelly, Alex and Ola.

In total, there was a squealing Jade, toxic Kelly, flirty Alex, loud Ola, quiet Dindu, clingy Wendy, Observant Mide and a bored Simi.

Rather than playing a game, we argued all morning on which game we should play while munching on cup cakes and chewing gums, Weird combination, ikr... Until Alex suggested truth or dare.

"We need just one player to complete us, are you interested?" Some girl who were about to play football asked.

I shook my head as I walked to were my 'crew' were.

"You play volleyball, right ?" A high pitched voice almost shrieked and I turned to see a very tall boy grinning  behind me.

A boy? That's like the most girly voice I've ever heard.

"No."

"I know you, you do." The boy screamed again as he gripped my hands.

"Please, get your hands away from me."

"Much rude." He pouted. "Oh sorry, I almost forgot you added please." He said, loosing me from his grip, a cunning smile on his face.

"What?!!" He screamed again. "Why are you staring like that?"

At this moment, I had to block my ears with my hands and hasten my step.

That has to be the most loudest voice I've ever heard and it was girly too. I couldn't tell if that how he talked or he was just screaming unnecessarily.

"Hey." The boy was in my front again.

Shouldn't I be worried about this boy? I tried to think of something that'd get him annoyed and make him to leave me forever.

         "What is..."

"No offense, are you a transgender or something?" I cut him off.

The boy gave a really short hiss and sashayed away. I chuckled to myself.

      "Hey!!" I heard again.

I turned back but I didn't see him.

That was just an echo of his voice, I guess. This is what happens when you've heard really loud sounds continuously, right?

"I got candies, India candies." I announced as I reached out spot.

Nobody answered and only then I noticed that they didn't even hear me because they all gathered...

Wait, what!!

    I rushed there immediately.

"Ehe, look at his sister." Wendy said as soon as she sighted me.

Why do they keep referring Dindu as my brother?

"What happened?" I literally screamed as I saw Dindu on the ground and yeah, they gathered him and they removed his shirt. Mide was fanning him continuously with a paper and it seemed he was unconscious.

"Where the fuck did you all keep your senses? You're trying to make someone's breath steady but you all still gathered him. How can he breath?" I asked.

Oh, I did it again!!

Talked rudely but I can't help it.

"What happened?" I turned to Jade.

"He was running round the field when he fainted." She said.

"And why was he doing so? For Christ sake, that cupcake was the only thing he ate since morning."

"That's the punishment if you can't do your dare." She shrugged.

I was confused. I couldn't call aunty Ifeoma because she was still recovering. I don't know how she'd react. Whatever the boys were doing on Dindu wasn't working and I was already in tears. I took out my phone and dialed dad's number even though I knew he wasn't in town.

"Dad, are you back yet?" I said, swallowing the lump in my throat.

     "Simisola, are you okay?"

I explained everything to him in a jiffy.

"I'm not back but I'd call someone to send an ambulance there in two minutes, okay? Don't call Ifeoma, please."

I heaved a sigh of relief.

Help is coming...
