Timeskip 1 week:

"I am...so dead." You wheezed, collapsing onto the gym floor after a fifteen kilometer run.

"Me....too." Chappo sighed as he laid down next to you.

"Ummm are you two OK?" Maxi asked hesitantly after finding your sweat engulfed bodies.

"Yea....we're fine.... Could you.... Chuck us... Unas agua." You requested, stumbling over your words as you continued to repay the oxygen debt obtained during the run.

"Some water?" Maxi questioned, holding up a bottle.

"Yea.. Sorry brain.... Short circuits and... Forgets... To speak... language of English." You rambled, making Maxi more and more confused and concerned.

"Does she need the oxy?" Maxi asked Chappo, who had recovered much quicker than you.

"I'm not too sure, I think she's just needs water." You brother answered before taking the bottle from Maxi and quickly placing it in your shaking hands.

"Thanks." You muttured, promptly downing half the contents and pouring the rest over you body.

"OK, body rebooted, I'm good." You told them, standing up and instantaneously feeling dizzy and stumbling backwards into a workout machine. Unfortunately, this specific machine had large metal poles which stuck out either side. This was unfortunate because, as you fell backwards, you whacked your head against it.

"Ah! Maybe not so good." You stated, sliding onto the floor once again.

"That was loud. Are you OK? Let me have a look at your head." Chappo requested as he came and stood behind you.

"I'm fine, just a little starved of air. We probably should of taken Hop's advice." You replied.

It was true- you should have taken your bosses advice to not push yourself too hard when training for the competition in hawaii when you had some of the busiest and most demanding weeks at work ahead of you, with the Christmas school holidays and the masses of tourists who would flock to the beach.

However, you and Chappo had decided to train harder than you had ever trained before because you really wanted to do Bondi proud and return home with the trophy.

"I'm going to get you some oxygen." Maxi informed you before running across the street to the tower.

"I think we are a bit too competitive for our own good." You uttered through clenched teeth as Chappo felt the back of your head for injury.

"Sorry, I know that probably hurts. Maybe we are just a tiny bit too competitive. You haven't cracked your head this time but you will most likely get a raised bruise. Have a couple minutes with the oxygen and then I'll get you some ice." He informed you.

"That's good, I'll be running out of place for them to stich it back up soon." You laughed as Maxi reappeared in the gym alongside Harrison, who was on his first shift of the week.

"Baby are you OK? Here take this." Harrison asked, sitting down next to you and putting his arm around your shoulders before handing you the oxygen mask.

"I'm fine, just a bit of trouble breathing." You explained before taking a deep breathe of the pure oxygen.

"That will make you feel better." Harrison said as you leaned deeper into his side and took a few more breathes before Maxi chimed into the conversation.

"But it won't be as funny as watching her with the green whistle."
