“What do we do now? The man, who had agreed to help with the money, withdrew at the last minute. I do not know what to do. I don’t think Abhishek Mehra will leave me alone. He will interfere with everything," Pragya told Karan in a defeated tone.

This morning they had gone to meet a client of Pragya's uncle. He had agreed to help them. But when they met him, he denied it. He replied that he couldn’t go against the Mehra family.

‘I did not know you had issues with them. That is why when your uncle asked, I agreed to pay. They are people with a lot of influence and money. We won’t be able to live here if we turn against them.’ These were his exact words.

"Do you know them? Is there a problem with them? They have a share in our school. I overheard the manager talking on the phone. Be careful with all of them." The Principal at her school had told her. That’s when she realized he was behind what had happened at school.

"Don't worry, Pragya. It is said that if one door closes, seven others will open. We will find some way," Karan assured her.

"Thank you so much for your support, Karan. I do not know what I would have done without you," she said.

"Are you trying to avoid me with just a word of thanks?" He asked her suddenly.

"Hey relax. I was just joking," he said when he saw the nervousness on her face.

"What happened here?" Pragya asked, panicked as she saw the furniture in their hall was in shambles. The window panes were shattered; but they weren’t alone, a lot of people had gathered to witness it.

"What happened, ma? Bulbul, what happened?" As she entered the hall, she saw her family sitting there helplessly. Vanya was also sitting with them, trying to console them.

"What happened, uncle?" Karan asked, sitting next to Raghuveer.

"What happened?" Pragya asked Vanya, when she saw that her family was not in a state to say anything.

"What more could happen? Didn't I tell you not to argue or go against them? See what happens when you don’t listen to me. To our luck, no one was here when the goons came. What if someone was here? What if someone got hurt?” Sarla shouted at her and sobbed.

"Ma... I didn't..." Pragya tried to say with teary eyes.

"All this happened because of you Pragya. You are the only one responsible for all this," Sarla shouted at her.

"Their men smashed everything when they attacked the hall last night. They even destroyed the supplies for tomorrow's wedding. They have left a note," Vanya said and handed her the note.

‘This will be the result if someone tries to oppose the Mehra family.’ She read the letter out loud.

"Pragya, stop. Where are you going? Don’t do something without thinking," Vanya stopped her.

"There is nothing left to think about anymore. Believe me. I'm not going to cause another problem. I'm going to put an end to all the problems," Pragya replied and walked away.

"Madam, we have reached your destination,” the taxi driver informed Pragya. It wasn't hard to find the Mehra group's building. A skyscraper building with 30 floors in the heart of the Mumbai City was the head office of the Mehra group of companies.

"Thank you bhaiyya," Pragya said and pad the taxi driver. She entered the building and walked over to the reception desk.

"I'm looking for Mr. Mehra," Pragya informed the woman.
