"Right now?" I asked, holding up my bottle in reference.
"Yes," he replied, clearly exasperated. "In the kitchen."
I stood up, heading over to him in the doorway. I leaned into him as I stumbled. "Are you really sure?" I teased.
He kissed my cheek. "I'm positive. We want to talk, and you can just listen for right now."He led me over to a chair, pushing me gently into it. He and Jaden sat on either side of me, and they each took one of my hands. "We need to talk to you about something," Jaden began.
"Yeah. You guys said that already," I interrupted. "Can we cut to the chase, please?"
"Izzie, can you please just be patient?" Quinton asked.
I nodded, and Jaden continued speaking. "We got a chance to speak to our management team."
"Okay, and?" I replied.
Jaden sighed, but he didn't scold me because of my obvious intoxication. "They want to meet with you. They always requested you anyway when it came to your firm, so having you all to ourselves is high up on their list of things that they're on board with. It would've been tonight, but you're a little, um, out of it," he rambled, motioning towards the bottle that was sitting on the table in front of me.
"I, uh, wow. I, uh, I didn't really think that this is something that, um, was really going to happen. I thought that it was all just a little 'what if,' but you're telling me that this is all really happening right now?" I stammered.Jaden nodded in confirmation, and the two of them stared at each other for a few moments before they both turned to look at me. "Do you, uh, do you want to say something?" Quinton asked.
I burst into tears. I noticed Jaden and Quinton looking at each other again, but I could control the sobs.
"Are you okay, Izzie?" Jaden asked, putting a hand on my arm.
"I-I am," I stuttered. "I'm great. This is really, really good. I'm sorry that I'm crying. This is just all so unbelievable to me. I don't deserve this."
"Okay. You're drunk," Quinton chuckled. "What do you want us to do for you?"
"I, um, I really want to go to sleep. I'm really, really tired," I whispered.
Jaden and Quinton looked at each other, and Quinton finally spoke. "Alright, Iz. Let's take you upstairs. You can sleep in my bed. I'll take the floor."I reached for the bottle on the table as I stood up, and Jaden swatted my hand. "No, ma'am. You're done with that. Why don't you try a bottle of water instead?"
"You suck," I replied, sticking my tongue out at him, but taking the water bottle that he was holding out to me anyway.
Quinton took my hand, and he had to practically carry me as I stumbled over my own two feet up the stairs. We walked into his room, and I peeled back his comforter, crawling into the bed.
He stared at me from the doorway. "Do you need anything?" he asked.
I shrugged. "No, I don't think so."
He planted a kiss on my forehead, pulling the other pillow off of the bed. "Let me know if you need anything."He laid down on the floor, and the room filled with the sounds of our breathing. "Quinton?" I asked, hoping that he wasn't one of those people that could fall asleep within minutes.
"Yes, Izzie?" he responded, and I looked over the edge of the bed to see him propping himself up on his elbow.
"Will you come up here and sleep with me? I hate sleeping in strange places alone," I explained.
He climbed in next to me, instinctively wrapping his arms around my waist. I melted into his embrace, and any anxiety that I had had about any part of this day melted away with me.The next morning, I woke up in Quinton's arms. Everything was so new for the two of us, but this was a feeling that I was more than okay with getting used to.
"Good morning," he murmured into my hair.
"Good morning," I whispered back. "Sorry that I crashed here last night. Yesterday was kind of a mess for me, but you knew that already."
"It happens," he replied, pulling his phone off of the nightstand next to him. "Hey, Jay texted me. The management team wants to meet with you in about an hour. Is that okay?"
I shrugged, sitting up in the bed. "I don't know. My schedule is looking so packed lately," I teased.
"Alright," he laughed. "Go home and change, and we'll meet you here in an hour. They're gonna love you. Don't worry."I kissed him goodbye, heading down the stairs. I nodded at Jaden as I left the house.
When I got home, I showered quickly, getting ready for the meeting. Quinton could say how much they would love me all that he wanted, but that didn't mean that I wasn't absolutely terrified. This was a job interview, and I hadn't been on one of those in years. Levy P.R. had always been my home.
As I pulled back up in front of Sway, I felt my palms began to sweat and my heart began to race. This was something that was absolutely terrifying, even though I was just as convinced as Jaden and Quinton that this job was bound to be mine.I went inside, and Quinton and Jaden both greeted me before Jaden introduced me to their management team. "Guys, this is Isabella Davis."
"We know that you're the best," one of them began.
Another picked up where he left off. "However, we would like for you to tell us a little bit more about yourself."
I began, pulling out my portfolio. I talked for what felt like hours, but it couldn't have been more than fifteen minutes."We would like to offer you this job. However, we do have one condition, though: you cannot be in a relationship with any of our clients."
