The first thing you noticed when you woke up was that your breathing was heavy, your throat was tight. Your body trembled and the butterflies in your stomach, where the kind with icy wings. You tried swallowing as you hearing slowly returned. It was hard to discern sounds or voices – if those were. The sounds sounded garbled like a damaged record.

Why were you even unconscious in the first place? You couldn't remember passing out. Why ... had you passed out? Fear creeped deep into your chest as the memories of what had happened came back. It felt like you were holding your breath while underwater. When you tried to come to the surface for air, you couldn't seem to break through something just above the surface. Your lungs slowly started to burn for oxygen, you pushed against this unseen force, desperate to breathe.

Your eyes snapped open. You had to run. Run. Run. The edges of your vision were clouded black and grey as your focus kept zoning in and out. Something about your surroundings seemed familiar, but you couldn't be sure, everything was blurry. Confusion and terror clouded your mind.

You moved your stiff limbs to which the statement "trembling" was the largest understatement. It took you a moment to realize where and how exactly you were positioned, but it was too late as the ground approached you rapidly. You had been lying on a bed.

The concrete hit your head and shoulders hard, you knew it was supposed to hurt, but everything felt surreal. Frustration fought against fear as you couldn't seem to move fast enough. Run. Run. You managed to prop yourself up on your elbows as the world continued to spin endlessly like a washing machine. It made your stomach feel like waves surging and crashing on rocks, bubbling and foaming as they recede, over and over.

Your whole body clenched up as you desperately tried to hold back whatever was in your stomach. You groaned in discomfort; you couldn't hear it over the ringing in your ears, but the vibration in your throat had told you that you had in fact, made some sort of noise close to that.

Suddenly two hands grabbed your shoulder. You had meant to scream, but all that left your throat was a choked gasp. Your limbs were so weak and stiff that you couldn't fight against them when they turned you onto your back. You saw a blurry figure above you.

Desperation made you force you arm upwards, trying to push the figure as far away from you as possible. You could barely make out how your arm flung helplessly upwards to be gently caught by a hand. The person held your arm steady, leaning closer. Your own thundering heartbeat filled your ears as you stared at them in horror, fear crippling you.

You weren't sure how long, maybe a few seconds or several long minutes, but after some time as your heartbeat calmed down, your senses slowly started returning to you. The figure did nothing but hold up your arm and stare at you. Your vision finally came into focus properly for the first time and you were able to recognize the pair of blue eyes that hovered above yours. Eyes so blue the sky was envious. A rainbow of silken language meant to charm. Fairy pools of magic wonder. The secret glimmer of an enchanted river whose glow is like the pool under the summer sun; a medley of sapphires and diamonds.

"Dabi?", you croaked in confusion. He tried to fight back a smirk. "Last time I checked, pretty much", he mumbled. You blinked several times, before looking past him, around at your surroundings. You were in your room. Your room at the drug-lord, Shigaraki's house. You let out a breath you hadn't realized you were holding. It was okay. Everything ... was okay. You were so thankful, that you didn't register that neither of you had moved; Dabi still holding your arm and hovering above you.

Dabi swallowed hard. The amount of strength it required to restrain himself at this very moment, physically pained him. Y/N's face was so close. Her lips; were so close. The way her eyes looked around, innocent and soft from the relief that had visibly flooded her. It was near frustrating and so, so, so embarrassing. God, he had never been so turned on by anyone in his life.

He pressed his lips tightly together, pulling back and yanking Y/N upwards before he would lose all self-control. The action had the opposite effect of what he had wanted. Y/N was caught by surprise as he practically flung her upwards; her balance was still off, and she ended up stumbling into his chest. His chest cramped up, his breath hitching his throat.

You closed your eyes, subconsciously raising your eyebrows as you tried to fight off the vertigo. Only until you'd opened your eyes, did you realize you had grabbed onto Dabi's shirt for support. Both of your hands were clenched into loose fists as they held Dabi's shirt in their grips. You blinked several times at your hands, almost as if they didn't belong to you. Your head snapped up to Dabi, as though he would apparently know what was going on.

Dabi eyes locked onto yours, his hand still gripping your wrist. Your eyes drifted down to his lips, which he was subtly biting on. Your felt your heart stop as your cheeks started burning almost painfully. You unclenched your hand, and almost robotically turned away from Dabi.

Your heart was hammering at a thousand miles per hour; your mind had completely hit point blank. Oh. My. God. You coughed uncomfortably. "What happened?", you choked out the first words that came to your mind. Your voice sounded hoarse and pitched, like a bats screech to your own ears. If you'd been alone in your room, you would've probably gone to scream into your pillow.

You heard Dabi taking in a long, steady breath before he answered. "Uh", he started, you couldn't turn around to face him right now. The awkward tension in the air was as thick as a brick wall. Suddenly the door to your room opened, making you basically flinch as you spun around.

Thankfully, Dabi was also looking at the door. It was Kurogiri and he was eyeing both of you strangely. He seemed to suppress a sigh as he turned to look at you, nodding out towards the hallway. "Shigaraki", he mumbled. You nodded almost eagerly, following after Kurogiri without sparing Dabi a glance.

He led you along a strange hallway that, like most of this warehouse, sent chills down your spine. You'd never been along this hallway though, nor even in this part of the warehouse. At this point the only thing that kept your legs taking one step in front of the other was sheer force of will and Dabi's subtle footsteps behind you.

The hallways seemed to lead right into the pits of hell as towards the end of it, no lights were visible, it seemed like a big, black hole that was going to swallow you whole. You breathed in quietly as you followed Kurogiri. You had no idea what to expect.

As you reached the dark part, it ultimately got so dark you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face, much less were you able to keep track of Kurogiri. You turned on your night vision, seeing Kurogiri only a meter in front of you. How was he able to see at all? Somehow with your night vision now on, everything seemed clearer. This wasn't in a good way. The corners seemed dark, the cracks in the walls like long, sharp claws reaching out towards you.

Your stomach felt like a coiled rattlesnake, ready to strike at the uncertainty of what you were about to face. Your heart felt like it was beating at the speed of a hummingbird's wings.

"Y/N", it was a quiet whisper from Dabi behind. You could still here is steps, so you didn't stop. "Yeah?", you whispered back. You heard him swallow. He was clearly struggling to say something. Your eyes automatically darted to the front to make sure Kurogiri was still there. "I- uhm", he started, "I can't see". It was probably all the anxiety that made you force back a snicker. "Oh", without thinking about it you stretched your hand back, looking over your shoulder, "here".

As Dabi seemed to realize what you were implying, and almost shyly reaching out his hand to search for yours, the gravity of what you did, hit you. Had you just -? The tips of his fingers gently brushed against yours at first before he slowly slid his hand into yours.
