Jessie
I can't believe we just did that. I have never slept with anyone but my ex before. But that was the classic bed sex that I thought was normal for all couples. I guess that's why we aren't a couple or will ever be. I can't control myself around him. I don't give a fuck about Lilly. She is Jaimes cousin yes and I won't let anyone take advantage of her but if it wasn't for you being in the middle of that I would have just told Jaime to handle it. His words repeat in my head. I know I shouldn't be glad about hearing him not care about Lilly but the feeling of him needing to protect me is indescribable. Is he starting to care about me? Or is just because he has made me promise not to be with anyone else. Sure it's not his business but if I want him to keep the same promise to me I'll have to do the same thing. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't be comfortable enough to sleep with a random person. Except for him, he is different. With him, I feel unusually comfortable and safe. When I get down he is already standing there with the rest of the group. When they aren't looking he gives me a seductive wink.
"What took you so long?" Kai asks me when I join them.
"It was a long queue to the bathroom" I say, making up an excuse.
"Honey there are two bathrooms upstairs" Lilly adds, not making this any easier. Kaden smiles overhearing them questioning me. Glad someone is enjoying it.
"Oh I didn't know that" I say, giving them a confused smile. Kai hands me my cell phone that he has been carrying around in his pocket for the past hour. I check it and see a message from Kaden. I certainly haven't named his contact by his name, it just says 'grumpy' on the screen.
Is Kai going to Lillys tonight?
I look up meeting his eyes shrugging my shoulders. He discreetly points his head to Kai wanting me to ask him. The idea of him wanting to go with me makes me instantly inpatient.
"Are you going to spend the night at Lillys tonight? I was just thinking about leaving soon and I want to figure out how to get home" I ask as normal as possible.
"Ehmm, I think I'll go to her place but we can always leave you on our way there" Lilly looks at him wanting to stay a little longer.
"I can drive you" Dan offers, surprising us all, most importantly Kaden who already was planning to do the same to be able to go with me. Kai looks at him suspicious about his intentions.
"You live right here, why are you even offering?" Kaden jumps in putting Dan on the spot. This is worse than awkward. "I just told the guys that I am leaving for the night in about 10 minutes if you want me to drop you off somewhere?" he adds, making Jaime look more worried than surprised. Kai nods approving now after he stood up for me and Lilly.
"Yeah you should go with Kade, I think he can find his way there," Kai says, giving me a wink, making me flush.
"Fine, if that's okay with you?" I ask Kaden, sighing out loud. Making it up to be like the last thing I want to do is get a ride from him. He smiles nodding. That went better than expected.
"Then maybe we should do one more shot before you guys leave! Not you Kade, but Jessie come on!" Lilly says practically dragging me into the kitchen. To dodge any more questions I go along with it. We enter the kitchen with the rest and she doesn't waste any time serving up five shots of tequila. Oh god no. Last time I had tequila I felt like I was dying. But then again it might be fun to relive the same feeling I had when I had enough courage to kiss Kaden for the first time. She hands me a glass and a lime while Kaden stands there watching us amused. I wish I knew what he was thinking right now. We all lift up our glasses before swallowing the tequila that's leaving a burning sensation going through my throat. I stick out my tongue trying my best not to let it get back up.
