Ara picked up her glock pistol before hurriedly shoving it into her leather holster. Her police badge safely tucked away in the confines of her pant pocket. The weight of the pistol placed on her hip didn't bother her anymore, it almost felt like there was nothing there and when without it she felt incomplete. The pistol gave her a sense of security and with her suspicions of someone following the both of them yesterday, she now carried the thing everywhere. Which slightly irritated Jimin. You can't really fuck properly when your partner holds a gun in her hand can you?
It never left her sight and even if it somehow did (which rarely ever happened) it would always be within a 10 feet radius away from her. She might have even slept with it if Jimin hadn't pointed out the safety issues and the sure discomfort she would have faced.
She was hesitant at first but finally gave in to Jimin's pleas when he gave her the puppy eyes paired with a few light kisses onto her neck. The adorable motherfucker knew how to sway Ara to his wish and was not afraid to use it on her, even though one day he was sure she would kick him to oblivion if he kept the puppy eyes act up.
While Ara did agree to not sleep with the pistol on her she did not agree to break her 10 feet rule and thus opted to keep her precious glock pistol on the nightstand which was placed right next to her head from where she slept. Giving her easy access to her gun if someone decided to intrude them while she was getting her beauty sleep.
She was currently heading to the car where Jimin waited, both of them getting ready to go back to the old mansion. Unlocking the car door Ara quickly slid into the passenger seat, closing the door right after.
"You look like you're going to kill somebody."
Jimin said with a chuckle, quickly putting his phone down and starting the ignition.
"I just might if you don't shut up."
She grumbled, one of her arms going behind her to retrieve the seatbelt. She harshly tugged on it multiple times, resulting in the belt to get stuck each pull.
"Don't break the seatbelt. We kinda need it for safety."
Rolling her eyes her hand went back to grasp the belt, pulling at it slower than before to finally buckle up.
The car ride was filled with light talk here and there, a few sarcastic snaps from Ara and a harsh flick on the forehead for Jimin for asking her if she was on her period.
"Never ask me if I'm on my period just because I'm a little bit snappier than before."
"Sorry...lesson learned. But maybe you could have flicked me when I had parked? I almost hit the truck in front of us."
*Time skip*
Entering the dreary mansion the same musky smell and obnoxiously loud ticking of the grandfather clock was still present. The scene was the same as they had left it the day before. Moving further into the abandoned building, Ara's hand reflexively went to her gun, her fingers fiddling a little with her gun holsters faux leather.
She followed her fiancé through the house, watching him as he entered and exited the rooms they hadn't checked out before leaving yesterday. Her eyes scanned every nook and cranny of the room, her hazel orbs searching for any unchecked movement.
