Prologue

                                    

                                          
Authorities were called when the 11-year-old boy, Timmy Hollister, didn't come home with his friends on Halloween night. His family claimed that little Timmy was indeed a troublemaker but he has never so much as left his house without telling his parents. When the friends were questioned they simply said, "Tim was right behind us when he disappeared. I don't think this is one of his pranks, at least it's not very funny."
                          
	After that, 9-year-old Jenny Turner went missing after going out to take out the trash. "This was the very reason she was not allowed to trick or treating," her parents said with tear-filled eyes, "There are nasty people out there and we live in a bad neighborhood." 
                          
	One by one 13 kids from Greenhill, California disappeared without a trace except for a small pink shoe belonging to 5-year-old Olivia Pine found in an empty grassy field by West road forest. The search went on for 3 years(mostly because of Jenny's parents' consistent begging), but the police found nothing more. 
                          
	So the children were proclaimed, "dead".
                          
	The same thing happened the year after that. 13 children went missing. 0 children were found. This caused an uproar. Parents were claiming the authorities weren't looking hard enough and they were questioning why the police were claiming the children were dead when they hadn't so much as found one body. 
                          
Parents in the neighborhood never allowed their children to ever trick or treat again or even go outside on Halloween without an adult again.  
                          
Most children never question their parents' decisions. Some grew up with the idea that there was a monster waiting for them outside their window every Halloween. Some who grew up with Halloween never believed in such silly ideas and went out anyway. They were never taken though. As far as detectives were concerned they found the "monster" targeted only little children, the youngest being 4, the oldest being 14.
                          
Some claim they hear voices at night when they are alone whispering the same thing in an almost hypnotizing voice, "Come out to play little children, I don't bite."
