"hey woo, can you help me with this math question?" chan's eyes lit up immediately when he spotted the grumpy senior from a distance approaching their lunch table. wonwoo sat right in the middle of both jun and mingyu, across from where chan slid his mathematics workbook right in front of the ravenette. the sluggish ravenette yawned, setting his lunch tray down in front of where he sat and nodding at chan before glancing at the math book. a loud voice coughed from his left though, calling both of their attentions to mingyu.

"he would love to, after he helps me with my poetry assignment. he kind of promised he would so ha!" mingyu stuck his tongue out at chan in a childish manner. the two juniors had a bit of a rivalry going on amongst themselves; chan tried his hardest to make himself stand out, but being compared to mingyu while doing so proved to be a hard task. mingyu felt threatened and needed to defend himself from chan where as seokmin acted as the mediator between both. being the one stable junior in their friend group was tiring and so while chan and mingyu quarreled in front of his salad, seokmin focused on eating it.

wonwoo rolled his eyes at both juniors, clearly tired of how they were both acting like children. it wasn't helping his small headache at all and two of them weren't at all wonwoo's first priority in the moment. that happened to be the purple haired senior sitting next to him on his right, the same senior who had barely touched his lunch. jun looked paler than usual and just sitting at the lunch table caused the chinese student to break out in a sweat. those symptoms added to what wonwoo already knew about jun made the ravenette very worried about him.

"I'll see you guys around." jun smiled at his friend group as he stood up from where he sat at the lunch table. the other students didn't find anything suspicious in how the senior was acting except for wonwoo who eyed jun weirdly. it wasn't like jun to skip out on a meal, especially lunch. lunch was one of the purple haired male's favorite parts of the day, the only reason why jun would skip out on a meal would be because he either felt sick or emotionally distressed. with what wonwoo knew though he figured the reasoning being his best friend's behavior leaned more towards the being sick option. "you're not going to finish your lunch?"

"I'm not hungry wonwoo, I had a big breakfast after all! my mom made these amazing sandwiches, they were heavenly!" jun spoke enthusiastically while smiling and rubbing his abdomen to emphasize his point. it worked on the others but wonwoo wasn't as easily fooled as they were. in fact jun's loud exclamation of an answer actually made wonwoo more worried about him, if that was possible. "you guys should totally come over to breakfast some day! my mom's food is the best!"

"that sounds great!" chan smiled warmly at jun who ruffled his hair before nodding and walking out of the cafeteria. wonwoo fixed his gaze on jun, tracking the chinese senior before he lost sight of him. the uneasy feeling bubbling in the ravenette's chest completely took over so that he focused on only jun and nobody else. this left chan frustrated seeing as the junior was still trying to catch his attention away from mingyu. "so about the math assignment woo-"

"jun was acting strange. I'm going to go see what's up with him." wonwoo stood up and rushed off into the direction jun had went towards while leaving behind his tray of lunch as well. chan sighed, upset that wonwoo had gone off without even acknowledging him or muttering a goodbye. mingyu shared the same sentiment while leaning his head on his hand and pouting softly to himself. "I guess neither of us are going to get his attention today."

"at the end of the day wonwoo will always choose jun over the both of you, that must hurt awfully bad for the both of you huh?" a voice piped up from the other side of the table, calling attention from both the disappointed chan and the frustrated mingyu. seokmin nonchalantly popped a baby carrot into his mouth. the crunching of the carrot could be heard as he glanced over to the pair and smiled as if he hadn't just subtly insulted them. he actually did find it amusing though that the pair was so hung up on wonwoo; it acted as great entertainment for seokmin to watch as he chowed down on his lunch most days.

"not as much as how badly it's gonna hurt when we both shove our fists up your ass seokmin." mingyu flexed his arms while bringing his fists close together in an intimidating manner. seokmin laughed awkwardly at the pair who were now on the same side. chan even gave mingyu a light nod as to show that he was on his side before turning to seokmin and showing the junior a mischievous smirk. when he was satisfied, chan turned back to mingyu who still seemed to be trying to flex his muscles to scare seokmin (a few students around their table awed at the sight of him doing so).

"for once mingyu I can agree with something you're saying." chan smiled before burying himself into his math workbook. mingyu paused before glaring at chan for his unexpected comment, which in turn caused for seokmin to laugh now that the tables were turned. what came next was no surprise though, mingyu tended to get really whiny and defensive when his honor was on the line. of course it was just a small joke but regardless of that mingyu was still ready to strike. "hey, what's that supposed to mean?"
