By the time their wedding day comes around, and jeongguk sees him entering the altar fully dressed in a suit, jeongguk has already met him many times in few days not to get this surprised, but the beauty he is, still leaves jeongguk in awe and wonder, wonder that how could a boy be this charming with this beautiful features with sharp deep orbs, perfect nose, rose pink plum lips, sharp jawline yet so soft at the same time. 
                          
Him who he is to share the rest of his days with, with who he should feel distant and unfamiliar, but somehow doesn't.
                          

All he could feel was the rush of strange, unknown feeling almost touching the boundaries of the word 'possessive' but half of the word 'protection' towards the younger boy nearing him and in instant the horrid image of taehyung from days before, in the hands of those molesters with eyes filled with fear and painful helplessness and tears comes before his eyes and that gives him an another reason to not back down and stay firm on his decisions for both of their sakes.
                          
Protection for taehyung and well... Peace of mind for himself or just for the sake of his sanity. 
                          
It's when taehyung murmurs a quiet hello and he turns back to his senses and notices his cheeks turning crimson in a way that makes him look slightly shyer than jeongguk would expect another boy nearing his Twenties being. Even though taehyung's only some years younger than him but his demeanor is a lot more youthful, the curious and just as innocent glimmer in his eyes still vibrant. It's something he doesn't get to see that often nowadays.
                          
Jeongguk smiles back polite.
                          
He's getting curious too, but probably for other reasons.
                          
It had been Jeongguk who suggested the union and Yet looking at the younger boy, the way his cheeks are getting dusted with pink while biting his plum lips when he tries not to smile too wide considering situation-jeongguk can't help but wonder if taehyung truly doesn't have any hopes for their marriage as he had said.
                          
He hopes not, for taehyung's sake. He seems too sweet, gaze too much of a hopeless innocent kid. Looks like someone who deserves to be loved and cherished by someone willing to do just that but jeongguk doesn't think he can offer him anything like that. All he's ready to give him is his company, commitment and security.
                          
Nothing more, nothing less. 
                          
Just that. 
                          
The day before they'd finally talked.

It was when Jeongguk had excused taehyung from his mother the last evening, for them to talk alone somewhere. Taehyung looked hesitant but complied otherwise. 
                          
After many minutes of awkwardness Jeongguk started first and made himself clear and let taehyung speak too. 
                          
They had both, if not taehyung himself more precisely but jeongguk sure made it clear that this wasn't one of those arrangements where they would fall in love but he guarantees the protection, respect and commitment. 
                          
Before jeongguk could finish his speech, 
                          
Taehyung had stressed and agreed that he really knows that the marriage would be just for the sake of his security, besides he truly feels safe with jeongguk and promised that he would never be a burden to him, also that he's in no position to even consider refusing the given offer when it's for his own good so he'll respect other's and jeongguk's decision at anything if expecting nothing from the Marriage is one of them, at that jeongguk frowned and almost slipped that he should object this if he doesn't want to get married, that no one's forcing him but didn't question as the marriage was the needed action.
                          
Not to sound like an asshole jeongguk too had said and assured taehyung that he was too busy to date, wants to fully dedicate himself to his career instead, so he won't consider cheating him with another person as he really won't be looking for one, so he can expect commitment for sure, but if taehyung himself wanted an out from this union, if there's someone else at some point of his life in future, he can voice his choices without doubt. 
                          
Taehyung looked at him wide eyed, with certain determination, didn't respond at first but mumbled a quiet 'I'd never do that to you..or to my h-husband hyung even if it was just like an arrange marriage with no love.'
                          
It caught jeongguk off-guard making his mouth shape like an 'O' in surprise. Maybe because he looked so determined or that he said he'd never consider someone else even if their marriage doesn't deserve that level of commitment or just the 'H' word. 
                          
Yeah 'my husband'. 
                          
Jeongguk just gaped at him like that for a minute and than left the room nodding blindly, agreeing to whatever taehyung had said after that, still in loss. 
                          
Yeah they were really going to marry the next day.

When the wedding bands are finally wrapped around their fingers and their lips are to meet each other, jeongguk lifts his gaze to taehyung's eyes and looks at him. 
                          
Properly looks at him and thinks that This is the man who'll stand by me for the rest of my life.
                          
It's a strange feeling. He remembers dreaming about this exact moment throughout his whole life which is only for couple of times if counted, he almost knew at some point that he'd end up directly marrying one of the blind dates his mother would bring, thinking that this would be where he'd end up. 
                          
Right not, it doesn't feel anything like an ending. It's not quite a beginning either but instead he thinks that maybe it's the moment that connects everything leading to it and everything after it in a way.
                          
Then they're declared to be husbands finally and are supposed to seal the vows with—
                          
In ancient times, deals used to be sealed with kisses.
                          
When theirs is sealed, it's feathery light and fleeting but the meaning behind it is still the same.
                          
It's the one that says, From this day on, I trust you. I'll let you see the real me, show you the sides of me that no one else has ever seen before. I'll Support and be there for you just like you'll be there for me, I'll protect you from every evil in the world. From now on we'll walk this path together.

                          


                          
And if that isn't the purest form of human emotion, then what is?
