Laurelle's POV

A single ray of sun shone through the gap in my curtains, i rolled over groggily to get my phone. It was 7:08am and I could already smell the coffee from downstairs. I scrolled through tumblr for a couple of minutes before sitting up and tying up my hair into a messy bun. I kicked the blankets off and chucked on my slippers then i went downstairs.

"Morning mum" I smiled, grabbing a cup of coffee. She placed down her iPad, "They gave me the morning off, so i thought we could grab breakfast somewhere?" I nodded "Sure" before walking back upstairs and getting ready.

I threw on my Pink Floyd muscle tee and a burgundy and green flannel with my leggings and converse before hopping back down the stairs. Twenty minutes later and we'd just ordered the greatest waffles in the world.

"So, how are things with you and Cameron?" Mum asked with a mischevious smile, i narrowed my eyes, "good, why?" I said, dragging out the why. She smirked and shrugged, "No reason". "Is something up?" I asked, she shook her head "No, nothings up" she rolled her lips to contain her obvious smile. It was clear she was hiding something, she was a terrible liar. I simply hummed in reply before the waitress set down our food and I got tucked in. Once we were finished we wandered about the shops for an hour before we headed home. "I'll just drop you at the door, then i've got to go to work" mum said as we turned into the street.

She let me out the car once we got home and i unlocked the door, made my way through to the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle before hopping upstairs. My bedroom door was open, which was weird as I have a habit of pulling it closed - yes, i'm strange. I pushed the door open more cautiously, and what caught my eye was the pink box lying on my bed. Curious, I sat on the bed, taking the lid off the box and pulling out the baby blue tissue paper. What lay inside took my breath away, Cameron had bought the most beautiful outfit. Now, at this point most girls would be looking at a stunning ballgown style dress with a fancy pair of stilettos, but not me. Instead, I pulled out a pair of high waisted mom shorts with a chunky black belt, a matching oversized denim jacket, a new pair of platform converse and a grey Kurt Cobain t-shirt. But, not just any old Cobain shirt, Cameron's Kurt Cobain shirt. I recognised it from when I stayed over at his house and he gave me it to sleep in. I told him I loved it. Which I do. It still smelt like Cameron's aftershave, a comforting scent.

At the bottom of the box was a note

Dear Laurelle, I wanted to take you on a really nice date today, so be ready by 5pm. I'll come and pick you up xx

I giggled before placing the note down. This boy is the biggest hopeless romantic I've ever met.
