"Uncle Kaeya, who's the mysterious person in the infirmary?"
While in a contemplating state, the cavalry captain unconsciously made his way towards the grandmaster's office where she sees Klee along with Jean. The little red girl was currently sitting on the couch and doodling her friend, Dodoco.
As soon as the little girl notices Kaeya entering the office, she immediately stops and waddles over to the male while showing him her masterpiece.
"Look! It's Dodoco, me and Mr. Snowman!"
Kaeya's lips turned upward to a smile while hoisting Klee up to carry her. He walks over to the desk where Jean is currently doing her paperworks. Sure, she told the captain to take a look out for the stranger in the infirmary for danger but he just simply couldn't find any suspicious activity related to her. It seems like the stranger really did lose her memories before ending up in the cold streets of Mondstadt.
Jean listened to what Kaeya had to say with his report.
"So.. you're telling me that you want to help her in regaining the memories she lost? Is that right?" The grandmaster looks back down on her documents, "I'd love to help however, I'm still in the process of approving these documents. Will you be fine on your own?"
Kaeya grins, "I'm sure I'll be fine on my own. Oh yeah, do we have any extra winter clothing?"
"I'm sure there is somewhere in the storage room. Be safe out there, alright?"
"Mhm, will do"
The cavalry captain runs outside the office, running past the infirmary to reach the storage at the end of the hallway. It's a scruffy room filled with extra blankets and clothing in case the knights needed them. The room also served as a storage for cleaning agents as Kaeya soon got a whiff of bleach and detergent as soon as he opened the door.
He hurriedly pulled a winter coat from the shelves, not wanting to stay inside the storage room any further since the stench is making his head hurt if he smells it any further.
Kaeya returns to the infirmary and for a second, he thought he saw Amber by the window but it was just you. Your clothing wasn't exactly like what Amber is wearing, but it's a sweater and a pair of pants with the same design as hers since she figured that you'd be cold from the weather.
"(Y/n), I'm back." He calls out for your attention. For a second, he could've sworn your eyes show a sudden glint of sadness within them. "Here you go, I'll show you around the city if you don't mind of course"
A grateful smile curls up within your lips while you walk over to Kaeya. You thanked him for the kindness he's showing you, even though you're merely a stranger to him. But seeing how much he'd spend time to accommodate you in a place you're not familiar with, somehow made your heart squeeze in your chest.
