I turned over in bed as the sheets ruffled around me and fell to the floor. My eyes cracked open blearily and I swung my legs off the bed, rubbing the back of my neck and stretching. 'Well, that was a weird dream,' I thought to myself, standing up and stretching some more but when my eyes fully adjusted, I began to take in my surroundings: Marvel and anime posters, trophies on shelves, my winter stuff on a chair by the table, video and audio equipment among other things I knew were not mine I realized it hadn't been a dream. I really fell asleep in Danny's room, in Danny's bed, with Danny!
I sat back down on the bed grinning like an idiot at that simple truth. I never thought I'd even meet him and now I was sleeping in the same bed as him. It's so unreal. I mean he says we're friends but do friends cuddle the way that we did? The things he does sometimes I wonder if - Nah! That's just wishful thinking and I'm getting ahead of myself. It makes no sense to be creating scenarios and conspiracy theories and then they won't come true.
'But you did fantasize cuddling with this guy and you did do it,' my brain said thoughtfully, 'Maybe it won't hurt to keep dreaming.'
I was taken by surprise by that internal train of thought - that had to be the first gay-positive thing I have said to myself. Wow. I might get used to this. A delicious smell wafted to my nose and I snapped my head up as I heard my stomach rumble hungrily. Where was that delicious smell coming from? I got up and followed my nose to a door I hadn't noticed the night before and into a small kitchenette. There he was with his hair tied up in a ponytail and the few wisps that escaped falling around his face like white smoke. He was wearing an apron and was over the stove and that heavenly smell was coming from whatever he was making. As he turned to the little cupboard over the sink his eyes swept by the door and he glimpsed me.
"Hey," he said merrily, flashing that gorgeous smile, "someone's finally awake. Good morning!"
"Good morning," I replied still in a little shock.
"You look surprised," he said as he took two plates from the cupboard and starting scooping up bacon and eggs onto both along with two huge cheese and vegetable omelets.
"You can cook?" I blurted out before I could stop myself.
He smirked.
"What? Did you think I wore my butler suit just cause I look good in it?"
"To be honest, yea."
"Hahaha. Well, now you know it's not just for show."
"That is actually really cool that you can cook. You're like so damn perfect man."
I turned so red when I said that but he kinda flushed a bit too. Huh, did he blush too? Or maybe it was just the heat of the kitchen, yeah, that must be it.
"I never get tired of your compliments," he said, still a little red in the cheeks, "especially how you blush so badly when you say them."
"I don't blush that much," I retorted.
"HA, your denial every time you do it is adorable too. Now go wash up, breakfast is served."
I had to run down to the communal shower since there was no water heating in the dorm rooms. I had a quick shower, slipped into my room to change into a new outfit, and went back to Danny's. He was sitting at the table waiting for me. I sat down and he made a gesture that I took to mean "Dig in!" so I did and everything was so mind-blowingly delicious.
"Wow," I said after I had swallowed a few more bites, "this is really good."
"Thanks," he said with a hint of pride in his voice. "I do enjoy cooking so I aim to get better with time."
