Brilliant orange poured out of the sun and across the horizon. The sky was blood red.The furrowed clouds were every shade from palest pink to deep crimson. For blood has been split on the ground they stand on.
The group has made their way back to Hershel's farm, hoping the Rick and the others might be there, but they weren't. Most of the Walkers have gone off. Only a few remained and they were quickly dealt with.
The barn, where the fire was started, was nothing but a pile of smoldering ashes now. Still smoke emerged from the pile of blackness.
"Where the hell is my girlfriend?" Kenny questioned Garrett in a cocky tone.
Mitchel steps between him and Garrett and brings his one hand towards Kenny. "Before you do anything rash Ken....there was nothing he could have done for Deanna or Will. He'd probably be dead if he tried to do something." He was standing with Garrett for a change. He seemed to have gotten his mind clear from losing Torri so many months ago.
"Stay out of this Mitch!" Kenny pushed him out of the way so he could see Garrett's eyes. His eyes weren't scared, they were concerned. "You abandoned them? Is that what you did?"
Garrett looks away. he couldn't look Kenny in the face for what he has done. "They were taken...." Then Kenny's fist slams into the side of Garrett's face. He is caught off guard by this and falls to the ground.
"Stop!" Mitchel gripped Kenny and restrained him.
"Don't you see what he did?" Kenny yelled out looking at the others, trying to get free from Mitchel's grip.
"He lived." Lucas mentioned coming into the conversation. "He didn't do anything wrong."
"Oh, fuck you." Kenny spat at her while he laughed. "He left two of our people behind!" He looks back at Garrett who is still on the ground holding the side of his face. "You couldn't have her, so nobody should, huh?"
Garrett glared at Kenny. He and Deanna haven't been as close as they were before and he blames Kenny completely. But he would have never said that out right to anyone. He was surprised that Kenny would even say something like that, he got angry as he stood up and walked over towards the restrained Kenny.
He had his arms behind his back, thanks too Mitchel who held them there. Garrett made a fist at his side, as if he was going to swing at him, but he stops himself. "I'm going back."
The others stare at him in silence, it would be Garrett versus maybe twenty more people.
"You cant go back...." Mitchel tried to reason with him.
"No...man, I have too." Garrett told him and then he turns and looks at the others. "I'm not doing this for Kenny, or for myself...I'm doing this for them, for Will and Deanna."
The others in the group agree.
"I hate to be the one start this conversation...." Connor sighed. "But where do we start looking?"
"I've got a place, come on." Mitchel said leading the way.
Mitchel was vague on how he came across this camp with other people inside. Inside this barred wire fence was a warehouse. This place seemed large enough to have a whole town living inside of it. It had an iron roof on top of the two story building.
From the tree line where the group stands, it looks like nothing. The building was loosing its color, also it had windows that were broken. If they haven't known better they would have thought it was abandoned, just like the house. But towards the gate of the fence stands a guard, he held an automatic weapon of some kind in his hands as he stood there, looking out the fence.
