TRIGGER WARNING. ** Depression. Thalassophobia.
The gentle ebb and flow of the waves touches your feet, giving a cool feeling of the sea rushing over both of your feet. The mesmerizing feeling of the sea seemingly calling out for your name had come over yourself. You slowly sat down on the sand and suddenly, the waves had become stronger as you felt it pull your body towards the vast, mysterious sea.
Weird enough, the waters don't seem to hurt your airways whenever you breathe in underneath the uncertain sea. Somehow, the cold water all over your body is rather comforting to say the least.
You had a fear of the deep sea, what lies there and what might happen to you as soon as it engulfs you whole and pulls you to under were the kinds of thoughts you dread to even think about. Seeing yourself float in the middle of the sea and looking at the vast fishes that swim around your area was rather shocking.
But sometimes, especially now.. you couldn't help but feel apathetic of the surge of emotions inside. Drowning underneath the sea was rather better than drowning in the suffocating intrusive thoughts and emotions you feel every single day.
While you were relishing yourself in the comfort of the deep, blue sea, you saw an illuminating light filter down from the surface. A clear ring was heard inside your head, seeing that it was impossible to hear such a clear sound underwater.
"It's time once again.." you mutter with a low voice, "Time simply.. flies faster when I'm in here."
You might not want to leave the comforts of the sea, you knew you simply couldn't do so since it would mean you're sacrificing a day's worth of school for a personal affair. You swim up the sea until you reach the end of the waters. As soon as you reach the surface, it would mean that you'll wake up from your dream and your problems pertaining to real life would start and continuously cycle once more.
With a deep breath, you rose up to the surface and immediately saw a blinding light blocking your field of vision.
** RING RING **
Your phone was ringing a series of bells as it flashes the current time today. It was your alarm that you kept hearing earlier from your dream, that's why it's only in your head and it's not coming from anywhere in the sea. Although you'd rather stay in the comfort of your home, you pushed yourself to move and get ready for school.
It's cool.. you think to yourself upon leaving the house right after you quickly get ready. The cool sea breeze gently pushes your whole body forward as if the sea was cheering you on for the day. You stumble on a shallow dent on the road while walking, however you regain your balance. I'll see you in the night.
