He was waving his hand back and fourth in front of me to snap me out of my thoughts.

"I know that you like what you see, but the staring is starting to feel uncomfortable now," he said smirking.

"I was not staring! I was looking at the intruder on my couch," I say before turning to my mom who was now taking a bite out of a cookie while positioning herself on the couch. "Who's the intruder on the couch mom?"

Before she can answer me, someone cleared their throat from the stairs behind me. I turn to see who it was and see River.

"Riv!!!" I excitedly say as I run to her then give her a hug. Wow I sound like a little kid who finally got a puppy for christmas, how mature of me.

"Hey cuz," she smiles and continues, "I see you've met Lachlan's son."

His son?! I thought his son was like 7 years old or something. Lachlan really didn't seem like a person who would have a kid as old as intruder boy on my couch.

With wide eyes, I say "him? He's Lachlan's son? I thought his son was like seven years old."

"Nope, that's the age of his daughter."

Daughter? Since when did he have a daughter. Man I really need to catch up on Lachlan's life. As far as I knew, he had a child who was 7 years old and was a boy. Guess I was wrong. Lachlan never really talked to me about his kids. Aka, Riv's future step-kids.

"Wait, my mom said that your flight was delayed?" I question confused.

"Yeah we told your mom to say that because we wanted to surprise you," she smiles. "Surprise," she says with jazz hands.

"Come," she gestures for me to follow her.

We stop right in front of intruder boy who now turned around again after Riv tapped his back.

"Bella, meet Daniel. Daniel, this is my cousin Bella," she says as she waits for us to finish the introduction with a hand shake or something.

"I thought it was just going to be you, Lachlan, and auntie Linda coming over? That's what mom said?" I question.

"Surpriseee #2" she says with another round of jazz hands.

I just wave at him and say, "would've been better if you were Dylan O'brien or some hot guy, but I guess I'll meet Daniella girl instead," as I laugh jokingly.

He joins my laughter, "says the one who was just checking me out five minutes ago. And don't call me Daniella!"

"Shutup, Daniella I wasn't checking you out," I defend myself, not doing a good job at that at all.

I mean, I actually was checking him out that's for sure. But he doesn't need to know that.

He was about to say another cocky remark before my mom interrupted, "well enough with the flirting and sit on the couch. We'll all watch a movie as a welcoming to our guests and we have cookies to munch on. Oh and I almost forgot, I have some popcorn, I'll be back in a bit I just gotta prepare the popcorn and drinks."

Flirting? Excuse me? That was not flirting. That was just me talking to one cocky ass dude who thinks he's all that.

"Sorry you must've took it in the wrong way, I wasn't flirting. She may have been flirting with me but I definitely wasn't. In fact, I have a girlfriend," he states.

Girlfriend? Must be one hell of a lucky girl to be with someone as attractive as him, although I'm kinda getting cocky asshole vibes from him. Fuck the looks actually, this girl must be very unlucky to be with his cocky ass.
