Chapter 7
                          
Vycandor had a way of possessing me in ways I didn't even think were possible. Mind and soul, but especially my body. Once I'd let my guard down, the physical connection I experienced at his slightest touch felt positively electrifying. Thankfully it stifled the part of me that wanted to set his ass on fire for having the nerve to touch me when he knew my heart belonged to Thomas. Pulse now pounding in my ears, somewhere inside me was the awareness of his relentless and insatiable need to feed. The fact that this ravenous creature relied on me to keep him alive was strangely satisfying. Emphasis on strange. At that moment, I knew only one thing with any certainty. Vycandor had a piece of my heart. That much was true without a sliver of a doubt. Although just how big of a piece I was almost afraid to find out.
                          
As if reading my mind, he sighed contentedly looking regal and arrogant. "I have claimed you, Chaos Killbourne. You are mine."
                          
I squeezed his cold hand in a silent oath. He haunted me like a ghost in the sheets. But what he didn't know was that I was haunting him right back.
                          
"There's something I've always wanted to know," I began, voice thoughtful.
                          
Vycandor narrowed his green eyes. "What have you always wanted to know?"
                          
"What made you come to my school to find me?" I paused to shrug. "I mean, Thomas is the one who told me you were searching for me. How did you even know where to look?"
                          
He smiled secretly. "You think you're the only one with a Guardian Angel?"

Ooops I did it again. Another short chapter. However, I wasn't even going to upload this week because I've been concentrating on finishing my submission requirements to the Publisher I mentioned. I think they're starting to think I'm not interested. As if!!!!!! 
                          
It's just that besides work, family, and writing, there's not a whole lot of extra time. But I had to carve out time. And now I'm finally ready. Tomorrow's the BIG day!!!!!!  My home computer kinda sucks, so I'll have to send my submission off after work tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!!  Next week I promise to get back to my regular writing schedule. This update just sorta happened. Sometimes I can't get Chaos out of my head. LOL
