I haven't seen a single Peaky Blinder for a week and every day I've been up at the stables, either helping Curly or learning how to mount and dismount Star.

I'd like to say I'm getting quite good.

"Please come to the Garrison! All you do is spend your time with that horse of yours! What about me?" Jane pleads as we exit work.

"But-"

"No! Just a couple drinks then you can go back to your horse," she demands, taking my hand.

"Alright! Alright," I laugh, letting her drag me along.

"How's Harry?" I ask.

"We're getting along well! He's the best shag I've ever had," she laughs as we near the pub.

"Do you think you'd date him?" I ask as we enter the pub, making sure to keep my voice down.

She checks if Harry's there. "Probably would! If only he'd ask," she laughs, sitting in our usual seats at the bar.

"Haven't seen you in a while," Grace says as she gets our usual drinks, myself putting money on the table for them.

"I've been helping Curly at the stables," I say, not telling her the full truth.

"They're apart of the Peaky Blinders, aren't they?" She asks.

I pale at the thought, not realising.

"How'd you find out?" I ask, annoyed that they hadn't even thought to tell me. Heck they never even wore their caps near me!

"I thought you knew," Grace sighs.

"Aye, they definitely wouldn't hurt you and I don't think they do actual blinding. I think they just look after the horses for the races and other stuff like that," Jane comforts, taking ahold on my cold hand.

I nod and tip my head back, my whiskey hitting the back of my throat.

"We getting drunk tonight?" Jane asks, downing her drink.

"Yep! You're off tomorrow and I'm not working till lunch!" I laugh.

"Being the bottle!" I clap, knowing it will help me sleep later.

"It's on the house," Grace suddenly says.

"Nah! How much?" I ask, getting my purse.

"No, it's on the house," she says, looking elsewhere.

"Your too sweet, I'll surprise you with something soon," I say, Jane agreeing.

"Where's that bruise from?" I ask, noting her bruised wrist.

"Billy Kimber," she quietly says.

"How'd you even get near him?" Jane asks; shocked.

"Mr Shelby took me to Cheltenham Races," she sighs, standing in front of us for a bit to talk.

"Let me guess? He let you go with Billy Kimber?" Jane asks, inspecting her wrist. Grace nods, an unknown look on her face.

A lot about this girl is unknown.

"Nothings broken, it will just be a bit sore," Jane says.

"Us girls have to stick together," I sigh, sipping the whiskey from the bottle. "Why'd you think I carry a knife around? I don't trust the people in Small Heath," Jane says, filling up her glass with gin.

"What day is it anyways?" I ask.

"Saturday," Grace says.

"Isn't it the day you normally sing?" Jane asks. "Don't get them lot joining in, my headache wont part for weeks!" I groan, making the girls laugh.
