Death, blood and gore I guess

Tubbo groaned as he sat up trying to get his bearings. Where was he? Oh, that's right, he was at the top of the office building. The sun was just beginning to show as the air warmed up. He must've fallen asleep here. It wasn't the most comfortable place as his back hurt from lying on the concrete for about 9 hours. He rubbed sleep out of his eyes as the events of last night came flooding back. His friend was gone...

He sighed as he decided to begin the short journey back to their humble abode. Tubbo lowered himself off the edge of building onto solid ground. As soon as he did this his ankle burned and he collapsed to the floor. During his episode last night he'd injured his ankle even more. Well, this is going to be a fun trip, he thought.

Tubbo hobbled all the way back to their hidey-hole and collapsed in pain as soon as he got through the makeshift door. His breaths came raspy and struggled as he scrunched his eyes due to the pain. He heard Wilbur run over to him and gasp as he saw the state of his ankle.

"Tubbo what did you do?!" Wilbur sounded alarmed.

"I- I ran on it," Tubbo panted.

"Oh Tubbo," he sighed as he stood up to go retrieve some more bandages. This gave Tubbo a chance to look around their base. Tommy was nowhere to be seen.

"Wilbur, wheres Tommy?" He asked, scared of what the answer could be.

"I- Tubbo I had to."

"What did you do to him?!" Tears fell down his cheeks as his heart raced. Wilbur didn't reply. He walked back to Tubbo and began to wrap his ankle in another bandage. Tubbo was distraught, it didn't help that his mind was making up all sorts of situations that could've happened.

As soon as Wilbur finished dressings his ankle, he got up and frantically looked around outside their base. Wilbur yelled at him to stay inside and rest but he didn't listen. His sight finally settled on a frail figure in an alleyway.

"Tommy?" his voice cracked as he slowly walked towards the person. The light was barely on the figure and he moved away as Tubbo came near. Tubbo took one more step before the person snapped and lept at Tubbo confirming his suspicions. It was Tommy.

Tubbo screamed as Tommy jumped at him. He fell backwards and scrambled away on all fours. Tommy was yanked back by a chain that seemed to be tied around his ankle. He growled in an unhuman manner. This wasn't Tommy, it was merely someone else in Tommy's body. Tubbo's eyes were wide as he watched Tommy struggle against his restraints. His best friend was a monster, he was trying to kill him. Tubbo cried as Tommy snarled at him, his eyes were no longer the Carolina blue colour that Tubbo loved so much, now they were a deep shade of purple. His face was turned into a terrifying snarl that should only be worn by wild animals, not a 16-year-old boy.

He felt Wilbur bring him into a hug as he poured his heart out into the older man's shoulder. Tommy was gone and there was no way of getting him back. Tubbo cried for what felt like forever as Wilbur simply comforted him. After a while, Wilbur picked up the broken boy and took him back into their abode. He set Tubbo down on a couple of blankets they'd managed to scavenge and gently played with his hair as Tubbo cried himself to sleep.

~Time skippy~

Tubbo woke up with a spring in his step. Today he had a plan. This plan was not one Wilbur would like, but he had to try it anyway. Surely Tommy was still in there. He just had to try to get him out.

Some may say that Tubbo was being delusional, but he was just desperate. His friend was supposedly gone and Tubbo was lost without him, of course, he would try and get him back. He glanced over at Wilbur who seemed to be asleep then slowly got up and walked out to the alleyway. Tommy was still hidden in the shadows but luckily Tubbo brought a torch to he could see. He shined the light slightly off to the left so he could still see Tommy but at the same time, he wasn't blinding him.

"Tommy? It's me Tubbo, I'm not gonna hurt you, big man. I'm just gonna set you free. You don't deserve to be locked up like this," Tubbo spoke in a hushed tone to make sure he didn't scare Tommy. He fumbled with the lock on Tommy's ankle but finally managed to get it free. Tommy just stared at him with a curious look on his face. Almost as though he was unsure why Tubbo was doing this. Not only was Tubbo doing this for Tommy's sake, but he was also doing it so he had some peace of mind that Tommy was out there doing whatever he wanted rather than being trapped in a dark alleyway.

The lock clicked, indicating that Tubbo had unlocked it. He eased off the band that was around Tommy's ankle. Once he'd set him free he slowly backed away to give Tommy some space. Tommy came closer to Tubbo, checking if he was going to hurt him. He must've decided he was a good guy because Tommy soon turned around and started walking the other way. He rounded the corner and Tubbo let out his breath which he didn't even notice he was holding. Tubbo sank to his knees finally realising what he just did. Tommy was gone. Hopefully, Tubbo had done the right thing and Tommy would enjoy spending the rest of his days running around - free.

Just as Tubbo was about to get up and leave the sound of footsteps got closer. He just assumed it was Wilbur so he continued to gather himself up. Oh, how wrong he was. The walking pace soon quicked to running and before he knew it he was being tackled to the ground by non-other than Tommy. He growled and snapped at Tubbo who was screaming his head off. Tommy did not come in peace. The zombified boy clawed at Tubbo, piercing skin and making Tubbo scream in pain. His abnormally long claws ripped off chunks of Tubbos flesh as he continued to try to wriggle his way out from underneath Tommy. Tommy was gone and this was how he was going to die. Tubbo would die because of his best friend. Why did he think that Tommy was going to be different from other zombies? He was the same as the rest of them.

Tommy clawed at Tubbos face, scratching his eye to the point where Tubbo could no longer see anything out of it. His body shook with pain and shock as he continued to scream. Wilbur must've heard his pleas for help because he was there in a flash, trying to pull Tommy off him. Blood pooled out around Tubbo as his body began shutting down. He no longer struggled against Tommy's grip. Wilbur screamed at Tommy as he continued to try to throw the teen off Tubbo. He was crying at this stage, tears made his screams sound strangled and even more desperate. Tommy didn't give in however, he continued to claw at Tubbo, snarling as the poor boy just cried at his best friend to stop. Ex best friend...

Wilbur finally managed to get Tommy off him. Tommy got up and ran as soon as Wilbur did this.

"Tubbo?! Stay with me man," Wilbur said desperately.

Tubbo felt weak. Everything hurt and he couldn't feel the left side of his face.

"Wilbur? Am I going to live?"

"I- don't say that Tubbo, of course you're going to live. I will make sure you live." Wilbur sounded uncertain but Tubbo didn't pay attention to that.

"Tommy's gone..."

"Yes, Tubbo, Tommy's gone and I will be making sure he never comes back. I can't lose you too."

This is when Tubbo realised how much Wilbur was relying on him to live. If he died, Wilbur would be alone. And when Wilbur is alone, he does some crazy things. Tubbo needed to be strong. He needed to live for Wilbur's sake.

Blood was still pooling around Tubbo at an alarming rate and his eyes started to grow heavy. He wasn't going to make it.

"Wil, I'm not going to make it," Tubbo said as Wilbur pulled him into an embrace for his final moments. Tommy was the cause of his death yet Tubbo would never blame him. It was his own fault for trying to set Tommy free and he was never going to regret it. He could die knowing that Tommy was free.

The world was beginning to go blurry as Tubbo sank into the void of darkness. Wilbur was crying and clutching Tubbo as though he would fade if he let go.

"I'm sorry Wilbur.." he said before his eyes closed for good.

are any of you in tears? no? damn I gotta try harder then
