The Next Day...
WindSeeker's POV:
I flapped my wings hard as I flew with Vortex to Jade Mountain. We'd been flying for a few minutes from the rainforest, because Jade Mountain is really close.
"Hey Wind?" Vortex asked, "Do you think we should've taken the others?"
"They'll be fine," I reminded, "and we need them to help out RainWings, too."
"You mean protect the RainForest?" Vortex asked.
"Basically," I said. We started flying faster, until we saw a big mountain ahead.
"That's it," I whispered.
"Yeah," Vortex whispered back, "But don't you think Galaxy's been acting weird lately?"
"Totally," I said, "let's go in the cave. But remember, just drop off the food, and don't bother him."
"I know, I know." She said. Her expression on her face clearly said she was anxious to go see him, but Vortex just dropped the bag of fruit at the entrance. I did the same, carefully dropping a bucket of water I held on the way here. When we started to fly away, me and Vortex could hear claws scraping against the stone, crawling toward the stuff we'd just set down. We didn't look at him, though. All we did was fly back.
~20 minute time skip~
When we arrived back at the rainforest, Galaxy was curled up in a dark corner, while Storm sat in a tree, reading a scroll.
"You guys alright?" I asked Galaxy and Storm. Storm nodded, swooping down from his tree to us, and Galaxy spread his silver wings and also next to Me and Vortex.
"I'm fine," Galaxy answered. "How was your flight?"
"Pretty good," I said. "But right at this moment, I realized something weird. Galaxy, you're name isn't a typical NightWing name. Most of them are what they are, what they have, or what they do. Usually two words combined. But yours isn't like that." When I said that, Galaxy looked down at the green grass below us.
"I know," Galaxy said with a sigh. "Usually one of your parents chooses your name - I don't know why mine choose one like this. Maybe she knew that I - " Galaxy stopped talking at that last word, giving all of us confused looks.
"That you what?" Storm and Vortex said at the same time. Galaxy looked down at the ground again, this time he swooped down into the marshes below.
Galaxy's POV:
Three moons, what do I say? Lie? Truth? Fly away? Won't they hate me if I say? Hmmm...
"That I umm.. You know, I'm really tired. I'm going to find a place to sleep," I said nervously from the ground. Will they think I'm lying? Will they suspect me. Oh Blizzard, I wish you were here. I watched as my friends swooped down from above and looked at my nervous face.
"Galaxy," Storm mumbled, "Your mother knew what?"
"That I.. uh... would have silver scales," I tried, "maybe that's why I have a weird name." Well, that could be another reason.
"That could be the reason why," Vortex agreed. Suddenly, the vision came back, where my friends were in the scavenger den, fighting off dragons, but dying. I was starting to know what this meant. It was only a few minutes away.
"Who else feels like going for a flight?" Wind asked. Vortex slightly nodded, Storm shrugged, and I didn't do anything.
"Ok, fine by me," Vortex said, "Lets go." We spread out wings, and I was the last one to. Wind flew faster and stronger, and I was in the back.
"Hey guys?" Storm started to ask, "what's that?" He pointed with one of his talons to a burning scavenger den. Oh no. I have to do something, but what?
"Hey guys," I started, "I don't think it could be safe in there. There could be dangerous dragons!"
"Big deal," Storm mumbled. He's been so grumpy lately, what's up with him.
"Still," Wind said, "Galaxy might be right." Suddenly, we started to go more towards the den, but not going in. We could see IceWings and MudWings fighting through the four windows, and noticed one in familiar. It was Blizzard.
