The blonde closed his eyes before he tensed up, realizing what they were doing. He wasn't supposed to laugh in Noah's arms. He wasn't supposed to enjoy his presence. Even if they were just using each other for their bodies, this went way beyond that.

They were acting like boyfriends.

Ian stiffened in Noah's arms and slightly turned away. "You should go."

Noah raised a brow at him. "What's wrong? You getting scared?"

"Just go. Finn will be back soon." Ian closed his eyes and rolled on his back, away from Noah. The dark haired boy let out a tired sigh but did as Ian said, climbing out of the bed and getting dressed.

Ian put on his underwear but stayed in his bed once Noah was gone, forcing himself to face the situation. For as long as he had known Noah, he had always been the root of his anger.

When Ian told his dad he wanted to attend Merrol Hines after Middle School, his dad had been over the moon. A prestigious academy where Ian would make good connections and most importantly, become as popular and respected as possible. His dad had been blown away by the student council's president when he first brought Ian to the academy.

"That guy will get far in life, Ian," his dad had said, with nothing but admiration and respect in his eyes. Ian knew his dad loved him, but he had never given him that look.

Ian didn't just want his dad to love him for being his son, but to respect him. To be proud of him. Ian wanted his dad to look up at him like he had done to the former council's president four years ago.

What better way to achieve that than to step in that president's footsteps?

Ian had been so close. For years he did nothing but build his reputation at school, meet people, memorize hundreds of names, and make a name for himself. All of that just for one pretentious fucker to walk up and snatch everything away from him.

A pretentious fucker with kind blue eyes and light freckles around his eyebrows, with toned arms that made Ian feel safe, and an understanding of things Ian couldn't quite get behind.

Ian was supposed to fight Noah, and instead he fucked him. Ian felt like a failure.

Finn was overflowing with happiness when he came back, and Ian didn't want to ruin his mood, so he pretended that everything was alright and urged his best friend to tell him about his date.

"It wasn't a date," Finn grinned as he sat down on his bed. "We just went on a walk, then we cooked lunch at her mom's apartment. Her mom wasn't home though."

Finn suddenly blushed and Ian narrowed his eyes. "What else happened?"

"She kissed me."

Ian's expression lit up as he laughed. "She kissed you? You didn't have the courage to go first?"

"She's so assertive! I don't know, I was intimidated." Finn buried his face in his hands. "Don't fucking laugh, Ian."

"I'm not mocking you, man. I'm happy for you." Ian pulled his blanket tighter around himself as he grinned at his friend. "What school does she attend?"

"The public high school," Finn replied, falling back on his mattress. "She's so perfect, Ian. I've never met a girl like her. It's so... easy to talk to her."

Ian sniffed. "They grow up so fast."

"Shut up, I'm older than you."

"By two months," Ian replied, rolling his eyes. "Finn, what's your zodiac sign?"
