The sand-filled wind blew through the valley and rushed past Kitra, making her untied hair fly about her shoulders. Her heart drummed against her rib cage while she took in a couple deep inhales in an attempt to calm herself.

Craning her head up, Kitra stared up at the giant cliff that loomed over her. Truthfully, Kitra had not free climbed in a while, so she knew that her skills would be very rusty. Moving her attention away from the cliff, Kitra glanced to the side where R2 was sat waiting for her. "Keep your scanners on for any signals." Kitra instructed, earning a small chirp from R2 before he opened a hatch in his head as a small dish extended, turning in attempt to find any incoming signals.

Letting out a breath, Kitra walked towards the cliff before glancing up at the top that seemed unreachable for her. She needed to overcome her doubts. If she doubted herself too much, she wouldn't succeed.

Pushing her thoughts to the back of her head, she reached her arm up and curled her fingers around a rock, before doing the same with her other arm and then pulling herself up. She secured her footing on rocks below her, before reaching her arms up again to ascend the rocky wall.

Each metre that she climbed made her hands burn more, as she felt callouses start to form on her bare palms. Normally she would take a moment to let the pain go down, but in the presence of her father Kitra knew that was not an option, so she kept going.

The air got thinner the higher she got. Kitra wasn't sure whether it was due to the altitude of the cliff or her lack of experience in free climbing; something told Kitra that it was the latter.

The more she climbed and flexed her muscles in her arms, the more the wound that ruptured across her bicep would burn. Kitra swore to herself that she should have applied some bacta to her wounds before training. Pushing away her pain, Kitra climbed higher.

By now, Kitra was half way up the wall. Her ego and confidence increased, making Kitra carry on with the climb at a faster rate. Though, as she climbed higher, her foot slipped on a rock, making it crumble from beneath her, before Kitra was sent falling down after it.

Panic surrounded the girl as the sand covered ground came closer and closer to her. Reaching out her arm, Kitra scraped against the valley wall before she latched onto a rock that stuck out, making her hang loosely.

Letting out a relieved breath, Kitra glanced up and let out a frustrated sigh when she noticed how far she had fallen. Swinging her body, Kitra reached her other arm upwards and pulled herself further up the wall, securing her feet on more sturdy pieces of rock.

Although she was more confident with her climbing skills, Kitra made sure she didn't climb too fast or she would fall down again. Making her realise how important it is to remain humble as her skills could often betray her and become the cause of her own injury.

Kitra ascended the cliff with more elegance and ease this time round, after realising that speed is not the key to climbing efficiently, but rather her technique.

The higher she climbed, the harsher the suns became as she started to scorch under their light. Glancing upwards, the edge of the cliff came into view, making Kitra smile to herself before pushing herself to climb higher.

After climbing for a while under the intense sunlight, Kitra's hands curled around the edge of the cliff before she hoisted herself over it and onto the top of the valley.

Rolling onto her knees, Kitra caught her breath from the intense physical labour that she was forced to do. That was until she sensed movement close to her, making her skin crawl slightly before she snapped her head round in its direction.

Her eyes fell onto a grey circular droid. It did not take Kitra long to recognise what kind of droid it was, as she shot up onto her feet and unclipped her lightsaber from her belt and held the hilt ready in her hand.
