Manhattan
3rd person
Aiden walked through Manhattan, gazing at the tall buildings in wonder. He had been to Manhattan before but he was never alone. He winced from the thought of his mother dying but he pushed it out from his head. He clenched his fist and said then and there.
"I'm going to make that person pay." He whispered. "I swear that I'm gonna make him pay."
Unnoticeable to the tourists surrounding the elegant Empire State Building, the boys eyes glowed blood red with power as he said the vow. The young boy knew Manhattan really well. He had came to Manhattan a lot of times for anything. He knew that in order for him to survive, he needed food, shelter, and water. He didn't know any of his other family members and he knew that if he lived at anybody else's house, that person would come back to finish him.
The boy hurried through the streets, he didn't feel comfortable being so exposed. He felt like somebody was watching him, little did he know that there were some beings watching him above the Empire State Building.
Olympian Throne Room
"What was that power surge?" The god of the skies said.
"Something happened down in Manhattan Father." A woman with stormy eyes said.
The gods of Olympus were confused about the spike of power that happened 2 mins ago.
"I haven't felt that amount of power since we fought the titans." The god of tides said.
"We need to find the source of the power." Hera announced.
"Could it be possible that the titans-" The goddess of the hunt started.
"No that isn't possible. We killed all of them. They won't be rising anytime soon." Zeus said with a fierce glare to his daughter.
"I think that Ares, Artemis , and Hermes should go to find the source of the power." Poseidon reasoned.
"Are you sober brother? Whoever the source is, they can't possibly overthrow us." Zeus said, concluding the topic.
"Now instead of talking about irrelevant shit, I have other things to take care of." Zeus dreamily said. He concluded the meeting and flashed out. Hera had a glare on her face, knowing that her dumb husband is going to cheat on her again. That bitch that's a TV starlet with a big poofy hairdo. Hera flashed out to get some sleep.
Back in Manhattan
The boy went into a Sport Chek store. His older brother always bought things from there. He didn't have any money but in order for him to survive, he needed a backpack, good shoes, and a water bottle. His parents had taught him that. He grabbed some Nike Run Swifts for his size and a backpack and slung it over his shoulder. He grabbed 2 backpacks and 3 water bottles just in case.
He got to the cashier and put the items on it.
"Kid do you even have enough money for this." The cashier said
"No please can I just have it." Aiden asked
"Do you really think I'm just gonna give you some expensive items for free cuz your a kid." The man shook his head.
"Pleaaase?" Aiden pleaded
"No." The cashier was going to take it back when suddenly someone outside got in a fight with someone. The cashier looked at the fight in interest. Aiden took advantage of it and grabbed the items and ran out.
"Oyo kid come back." The cashier jumped the desk and ran towards the kid. Aiden threw everything in the bag and ran through bunch of alleyways. He went towards the grocery store next. The cashier chased him when suddenly the young boy screamed towards the police.
"I'm being chased. Help!" Aiden screamed to the NYPD. The cops ran towards the cashier.
"Officer the kid's lying. He robbed me and took those items." The cashier pointed towards the kid but he saw that there wasn't any items on him. The officers looked at the boy but they didn't see any items. Aiden put on an innocent face and acted like he knew nothing. Aiden had actually thrown the items into another alleyway when he saw the cops.
"Actually officer, I'm not lying he stole from me. Please believe me." The cashier pleaded.
"Um Mr. Policeman." Aiden grabbed the leg of one of them and pulled on it. The cop looked at the young boy and squatted down.
"Yeah what happened?" The cop asked.
"This person started running towards me and tried to kidnap me. He said that I stole things from him." Aiden said with an innocent face on and trying to look as cute as possible. The cop fell for the face and looked at the cashier in rage. The cashier was surprised and then got furious at the boy. The cop grabbed the cashier and handcuffed him. The cashier kept on pleading but it fell on deaf ears. The boy quickly ran towards the alleyway and ran away.
The officers looked around in confusion as the young boy had disappeared.
Line Break
5 hours later
The boy had gotten everything he needed in order to survive. Shortly robbing Sport Chek he robbed Food Basics, Old Navy, Home Depot, and Dollarama. He ran back towards the forest to his house. He had decided that instead of living in the city, he would live in the forest. The forest always calmed him down and it was safer then living in the city where he could get kidnapped. He had grabbed some matches to start a fire and a sleeping bag. He had a bunch of food and filled up his 3 water bottles before leaving.
He started a fire and sat down, with his knife beside him. He was eating a MRE(Meals ready to eat) for dinner. He had grabbed 15 of them and threw it into his bag. He dug into his meal and munched away.
Little did he know that there was somebody watching him.
Yeah Yeah I know that this chapter is shorter but like I wanted to update and I kind of wanted to write more for the 3rd chapter. This chapter is more like a filler chapter.
Im going to finish a lot of Aiden's backstory in the next 2 chapters and then it's going to get really suspenseful. Anyway hope you like it. :)
