The Prophecy Is Done

"It's you who turns me on, it always has been."

Tae couldn't resist one more kiss before he opened the bedroom door, he found that having his lips locked with Jungkook's still calmed him somewhat. When they kissed, the air around them always shifted and it felt like they were in a tranquil bubble. The pinks and purples had gone from his vision, Jungkook wasn't becoming unwell if they were apart and his need for him wasn't the same, yet the effect that kissing had was still there. It seemed that they'd been presented with new obstacles, with most of it transferring to Tae.

He sat in his favourite room that would usually be bright and airy yet now was dim because he'd had to cover up the windows. It was also dim because it was night time and he pulled a corner of the window covering down so he could see the moon. He couldn't comprehend how some vampires lived like this all the time, it was a miserable existence and he wondered why they chose this way of life. Tae hoped that he wouldn't react to the video call, he could feel it bubbling away and he'd even tried fake breathing to give himself something to focus on but it didn't have any effect. Locking himself in the bathroom was the answer when a courier delivered a parcel to his neighbour yesterday and it was difficult trying to keep busy while Jungkook was on the phone to an excitable Jimin. He raged inside when he heard Jungkook making plans with Jimin and Yoongi and was pleased it was only a phone call as he tried to reason with himself. He understood that his behaviour was ridiculous but it was like a ball of fire in his stomach that increased in ferocity when he thought someone would want to go near his boyfriend. He thought at first that it was because Jungkook was vulnerable, being dead would do that, but then it continued and even though his boyfriend is getting stronger every day and more than capable of defending himself, the protective fireball rages on inside.

The phone ringing snapped him out of his thoughts and he answered it without being sure that he'd done anything to help calm himself at all.

Tae smiled when the screen connected and two smiling warlocks appeared.

"Oh my, I think I might cry" Jin said as he dabbed at his face.

"Do I look that bad?" Tae said, earning a laugh from Namjoon.

"You look really well. A little more pale than usual but you look well." Namjoon smiled.

"When did your eyes go back to normal?" Jin asked.

"I don't know, I think once Kookie woke up."

"Any pink smoke?"

"Or purple smoke?"

Tae rolled his eyes "No, no smoke of any colour. It disappeared and hasn't come back. Has the prophecy done anything else?"

"Nope. It's all quiet. The council think it's done. Of course no one knows if anything else will happen but we have to presume that it is over now that Jungkook is a vampire and you have eternity together." Jin said.

"How was it? Turning him? Are you okay?" Namjoon spent most of the time worrying about Tae because he knew how much he didn't want to turn Jungkook.

"The worst part was waiting for him to wake up, that was frightening..." Tae looked away from the screen "... I've never been so scared in my life."

"But he did wake up, Tae, you don't need to worry about that now. Is he drinking okay?"

"He's doing amazingly well, it's almost like he was made for this life. It's me who isn't coping too well."

Jin frowned "Where is he?"

"In the bedroom."

"Can you go to him?"
