I got a little debriefing considering this is my first time attending an event like this. Apparently, a lot of music artists will be here tonight. People I definitely never knew existed and even the few that I do know off. I heard that Angel and Luis even got an invitation for tonight, I seriously hope they managed to get far on their own.

I have faith in them.

Going to the event by limousine, the inside is just filled with idle chatter that barely reaches my mind. Too deep in thought figuring out how do I go through tonight without provoking anyone. As if that is true, I'd like to think I am a delight.

I quickly throw my gaze to Eve and her companion for the night. He is ridiculously young, or he just looks that young. She won't kill someone that young right?

Wait since when was it okay to just think about something like this? As if I am okay with her murdering someone? Am I endorsing this? No no no, I doubt she will hurt him or anything, or I can at least hope.

The car comes to a standstill, flashing lights outside. Everyone touches there face and turns to each other making sure they didn't smudge something. I catch Eve's glance and as she gets ready to leave she winks at me.

Pushing the door open she pulls the kid out with her.  Akali and I are pretty much seated at the back so we will be leaving last.

"You ever do something like this?"

I scoff, "It's funny that you think I was famous at some point in my life."

"Seriously? Even as a DJ that kept his identity a secret didn't you get something like this?"

"Well, even if I did my face would be hidden so there's nothing really to worry about."

"Okay, for this just smile and don't get blinded."

The peak of advice right here, 'don't get blinded.'

As if signalled she grabs my hand pulling me out. Letting go for a brief second she gets out waiting for me to manoeuvre myself out of the vehicle. Shutting it behind me, the car drives off as I turn to take her arm.

Walk of fame. Well as good as it gets for an event like this. Walking down the carpet to the end, trying to muster a not so awkward smile I keep in mind the fact that we are pretty much confirming our relationship to the public.

Near the end I look at Akali, she catches my gaze. Looking up to me with a smile, "You are gorgeous."

She then closes the distance between us making it nonexistent. Taking my hand interlacing her fingers with mine.

"I think I may be blind now," I rub my eyes as we reach the inside of the building.

"The one thing I needed you to not let happen," she giggles.

Blinking rapidly to regain my sight I turn to her, "As for us?"

"We will be sitting with the group obviously, first there will be an introduction and a welcoming of all the guests and then we get to pretty much enjoy the night. Up until the last hour of the event where we will figure out why we were all invited."

I spot our table, pulling her with me to the table, "Best to enjoy it as best we can then."

I was reminding myself more than her.

We seemed to be one of the last ones to arrive, pretty much every single seat at the tables were taken. As I sit down my attention was immediately taken to the most outrageous table out there. A man as big as you can get was just sitting there with a helmet. Wearing only a vest, I'd assume he tore off the sleeves if there were any.
