All my love, Kendra scratched that out straight away.

Best,

Kendra D.

Kendra grabbed the oil and did her best to coat the paper. It felt odd, like it wasn't sinking into the paper or sticking to her skin. Her brain couldn't fathom how it possibly worked, but if it worked, she wouldn't complain. She grabbed a match- she broke three before she finally lit it. As soon as she held it to the paper, she whispered Hermione's name. The paper didn't catch fire, it just disappear, leaving Kendra with a lit match and mild alarm. She blew the match out and threw it along with its three severed brethren into the rubbish bin. She drank the water and ate the plate of food that had been left on the table, it was where Harry always left the food that her mother brought up for her. She stared out the window, taking her meds, remembering when her father had put bars on the window. Her mother had bought her six books to let him do it, seeing as Kendra was locked up whenever Harry was. Which worked out well, because Harry was the one who took care of her when she was ill.

That was when she decided to crawl back into bed because, despite her daytime nap, she was tired and Harry wasn't talking in his sleep yet. It didn't take long for her eyes to loose focus and her to fall back asleep.

It was three more days before anything happened. Kendra was in bed, as she so often found herself. This time, it was because of her migraine. She had made Harry turn all the lights off and close the blackout curtains so the room would be dark. The two fans in the room were on- the day was sweltering. Harry was staring at the covered window when the door knob clicked and Kendra's father, looking smug and wearing a suit.

"We're going out," he said.

"What?" Harry asked.

"We- your aunt, your cousin, and I- are going out," he added.

"Okay," Harry said. He sounded indifferent.

"You will not leave this room," he continued.

"Alright," Harry replied.

"You will not touch our belongings, the fridge, or the tv."

"Okay."

"I am going to lock your door."

"Fine by me."

"Watch your cousin."

"Already on in."

Harry slumped back onto his bed. Time passed in silence for the both of them. Time passed slowly for the both of them. The room darkened slightly each second.

"Harry," Kendra whispered. "Can I have the aspirin?" Harry got up and gave Kendra the nearly empty bottle of aspirin and her glass of water when they heard something shatter downstairs and voices. The cousins shared a look.

Harry grabbed his wand from off of the bed, approaching his door cautiously. There were footsteps up the stairs- the one at the bottom creaked without any care. It sounded like multiple people.

"Alohamora!" A voice from outside the door performed the spell and the door swung open. As interested as Kendra was, her aspirin hadn't kicked in yet, and she much preferred to stay in her bed than get up and see who it was. However, Harry saved her from having to even lift her head.

"Professor Moody?" Harry asked, greatly confused.

"Never really got around to teaching though did I," the man growled.

"P-Professor Lupin?" Harry sputtered.

"Hello, Harry," Professor Lupin replied pleasantly.
