BAKUGO'S POV
My head hung lazily as my eyes opened to the sound of crying. I lifted my eyes to the screen watching Haze twitch and shudder as she slept. The pain in her shoulder only making it worse. She's having a nightmare and who could blame her? She gets stabbed and kidnapped. She rolls on her bad shoulder, yelping loudly before sitting up. She quickly looks around the room, the frame of the bed squeaking loudly, like metal scratching metal. She gets up and moved to the door, trying the knob. It's locked for obvious reasons. She backs up and I can see her chest rise and fall as her breathing becomes more vocal. She's panicking. Waking up in an unfamiliar locked room isn't a experience she particularly enjoys. Her hand grips her hair."You got to calm down, Hothead." I say to myself.
"Let me out!" She starts banging on the door. If she keeps this up she'll light for sure and burn the building to the ground. And I can't help her from here. "Let me out!" She screams louder.
The door quickly opens and Shigaraki approaches her. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" She backs up onto the bed, pressing her back against the wall. "You want me to kill your friend? Is that it? You wake me up at this hour because you want him to die?"
She shakes her head. "No! I'm sorry! I just-," she takes quick shallow breaths.
"Stop that!" He orders.
I scoff. "She's having a panic attack you idiot!" I yell. He turns to my direction and looks back to her.
"Well knock it off!" He complains. "Or I'll kill him anyway." Her eyes widen as she squeezes her head between her palms, looking at the mattress.
"Geez, where did you learn that strategy?" Toga says as she walks in with Twice and the others, everyone looking groggy and annoyed.
"She won't stop and it's driving me crazy!" He scratches.
"Just knock her out!" Twice suggests. "We should soothe her."
"All of you shut up." Toga snaps. She sits next to her. "Hazey, try to breathe with me. Like this." She takes a deep breath through her nose and out her mouth. Haze looks at her, still unsteady and takes a shakey breath. "That's a good try. Let's do it again." She smiles. They breathe together and she begins to relax. "Okay a few more times." She does as she's told and her chest rises slower. She claps and rubs her good shoulder. "All better?" She asks.
She takes another breath and looks at the door. "Please." She starts. "Please just leave it open." She pleads. Toga nods.
"Can do, girly. Now let's go back to sleep."
"And if she gets out?" Dabi asks.
"One of you take the chair and watch her then." She shrugs, laying Haze down on the bed. Her eyes begin to close as her energy depletes. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually grateful for that psycho bitch.
HAZE'S POV
It had been over 24 hours since we got here. Since my talk with Dabi, I had been explicitly told not to talk to Katsuki. I know he's okay. They allowed to me feed him and give him water, but it's been difficult to hold back the words I want to say to him. I need to hear him tell how stupid I sound being even the slightest bit tempted by Dabi's words. The thought of seeing Hanford right in front of me, brings out some seriously repressed feelings. I should hate myself for enjoying the thought of what I could do to him, but the part I hate the most is what he said about UA. Could they all have known? Aizawa and Midnight? Surely they wouldn't have allowed the 'procedures' they did on me. I have to believe Dabi is lying. That my parents gave me away so I could get help. That the auction was real and Hanford was a sick bastard acting alone. I did notice the camera in my room. I figure they must be broadcasting it on the television in the bar, making Katsuki watch me unfold. I use it as an opportunity to communicate with him. Whenever Dabi comes into my room, I glance at it hoping it will bring me some solace. I need him so badly right now, despite everything. I just need him.
