Galaxy's POV:

He's coming for us. I thought bravely. If that dream was true. I wonder who that SandWing is. I unfolded my wings and lifted my claws, getting up. I saw Vortex, Wind, and Blizzard standing a few feet in front of me, talking about something. I caught little scraps like, "I wonder why-", "He's so-" and "What's up with-". I guessed his friends were thinking I'm suspicious, doing stuff they weren't aware of. I wish I could tell them.

"Hey guys," I said, flying over to them.

"Hi Galaxy," Wind said friendlily.

"So, where are we going now?" I asked, remembering when Wind said we were leaving today. I was really hoping StarFinder didn't have a spy or assassin coming for us.

"We're planning on going to the Scorpion Den in the kingdom of sand, and see if that works," Blizzard explained.

"But Thorn..." I started, worrying.

"Hates NightWings." Vortex finished, "We'll figure something out. You're different. You're special."

I smiled shyly, because I've never been called special before. Before I escaped the NightWing fortress, all I was called was useless and had no point of living. The only friends I ever had were RainWing prisoners back then.

"Let's start flying," Wind suggested. "The kingdom of sand isn't too far away, but we should start now. Just STAY AWAY from SandWings. We're not going there to get poisoned."

"Right... let's go." Blizzard agreed. We decided that Blizzard would go into the den first, because IceWings and SandWings were allied. He wasn't very excited because it's burning hot there, like bathing in scorching water, but he agreed to the plan.

We flew for 2 days, and finally found ourself in the hot sun. At first, we saw a lot of SandWings exploring the desert, and were around some kind of carved claw thing (Hint Hint: On the cover of The Brightest Night).

Vortex's POV:

Me and Blizzard we the only ones complaining. It was too dry here, with only a small source of water from flying all the way to the ocean. Blizzard thought it was too warm, obviously, but we had to do this. I had to to it. I couldn't have got here without my friends.

We had carried a map of Phyrria by a dragon named Webs. It sounded like a SeaWing name, but I've never seen him in the SeaWing palace.

"There is is," I said, pointing with my claw to a scorpion in the map. "That must be it."

"Yeah," Galaxy agreed. He smiled at me, looking into my eyes. I was the only SeaWing who had greenish blue eyes, mostly every other one had dark blue or green.

"Let's go to the Den," Wind suggested. "We should get there as fast as possible."

"Yeah, let's go," I agreed. We started flying toward the den, and it only took us a few minutes to get there.

Blizzard's POV:

I started going into the Den, and found Thorn and another SandWing dragonet looking at me.

"Who in the blazes are you?" Thorn asked fiercely.

"I'm Blizzard." I introduced. "Me and my friends need a place to stay to avoid the SkyWing palace,"

"Get out!" The dragonets barked, jumping up.

"It's all right, sit down," Thorn said to him. "Who are you with?" She asked, eying me.

"A SkyWing named WindSeeker, a trustworthy NightWing named Galaxy, and a SeaWing named Vortex," I explained.

"Oh! Galaxy, the NightWing who escaped his tribe?" Thorn asked.

"Yes."

"Ok, that NightWing is fine with me."

I brought in my friends, and Thorn examined them.

Galaxy twitched and thrashed his head back and fourth. I wonder what's up with him.

Galaxy's POV:

Oh great. This is happening again? I pictured a burning home- that looked like a scavenger den being burnt down. My friends were in there, fighting off dragons. But all of them, dying. Everyone, dying.
