Betty felt the gun on her back and slowly turned around facing him dead in the eye.
                          
"I thought you didn't want to kill me just rape and abuse me" she said flatly.
                          
"Well I changed my mind" he said chuckling.
                          
"Why?" She asked.
                          
"Because I hate you" was all he said now pointing the gun closer to her heart.
                          
"Well I hate you too" she replied.
                          
"But you won't do it" she continued.
                          
"And why is that Elizabeth?" He asked angrily.
                          
"Because your too weak. You may be a monster but you can't kill me, because then you wouldn't have anywhere to put your anger" said spat in his face.
                          
"I'm strong enough" he huffed. He was getting angry this is what Betty wanted.
                          
"Are you though really?" She said pouting.
                          
"But I dare you do it. Kill me. Out here in the open street do it, I mean let's be honest while we are at it it's not the first time you tried and...failed" she said aggravating him.
                          
He growled at her.
                          
Betty felt arms on her leg and looked down at the little girl. She crouched down and whispered "Run. Find a boy in a beanie he'll take care of you" and with that Mia ran, she ran for her life.
                          
Betty took a step back. "Come on what are you waiting for shoot me already" she laughed.
                          
His hand was now shaking.
                          
Toni figured out what she was doing and slowly and quietly snuck up behind him.
                          
But he realised he was choking her against the wall, he had dropped the gun.
                          
Suddenly Betty took the gun and knocked him over the head with it. He was out cold.
                          
Somehow the serpents managed to carry him to the sheriff's station and they all stormed in at once.
                          
"Betty what are you doing here?" Asked Sheriff Keller.
                          
"I'd like to make a statement. You need to arrest my father" she said.
                          
"Why?" He asked looking very confused.
                          
"For abuse, rape and attempted murder" she continued.
                          
Sheriff Keller's eyes widened and he put handcuffs on Hal handing him over to a deputy.
                          
"Betty why don't we go into my office we need to have a long talk" he said walking in the direction of the room.
                          
Betty nodded and followed behind him.


                          
After a few hours of talking about everything Betty was told she could leave when she stepped out of his office everyone was there waiting even Mia she was on Jughead's lap.
                          
"You guys stayed?" She asked.
                          
"Of course we did B!" Fangs said, they all nodded.
                          
Immediately Mia ran up to her and held her arms out.
                          
Betty picked her up straight away.
                          
"Mommy?" She asked.
                          
Betty nodded with glassy eyes and hugged her daughter. That was the moment Betty realised everything might actually be ok.
                          
She hugged everyone before they all went back to the trailer park.
                          
Back in Toni's trailer Betty patched up any bruises or cuts Mia had and they all sat and watched a film.


                          
A few days later Betty was told Hal had been sent to Riverdale prison after confessing and his trial would be in a month.
                          
She smiled at that, he couldn't hurt anyone ever again. And her mother had been taken into custody as well.
                          
Betty had spoken with a lawyer about getting Mia back and she said that she had no don't they would let her adopt her again as she was 18.
                          
Everything was good and everyone was happy.
                          
Betty was at the studio, her competition was next week and she was feeling ready and excited.
                          
"Hey there dancer" Jughead smiled from the doorway.
                          
She got up and hugged him.
                          
"Hey what are you doing here?" She asked.
                          
"I wanted to ask you something" he said with hope in his eyes.
                          
"Yes?" The blonde said unsure.
                          
"Would you like to go out tonight? Just us two?" He asked grinning like a little kid.
                          
"Jughead Jones are you asking me out on a date?" She said shocked but also extremely excited.
                          
"Why yes I am Betty Cooper. Is that a yes?" He asked.
                          
She didn't answer she just kissed him. Once their lips connected it was as if nothing else mattered like they were the only two people on the planet.
                          
When they pulled away Betty nodded, he kissed her again.
                          
Then Toni walked in with Mia.
                          
"Yo, Cooper, Jones yo-" she cut herself off when she saw them.
                          
They pulled away and Betty blushed uncontrollably.
                          
"Hey Toni, uh what are you doing here?" She asked.
                          
"You guys kissed ewww" Mia said giggling.
                          
Jughead chuckled at her and started to tickle her.
                          
"Hey Toni, can you watch her tonight?" Betty asked.
                          
"Yeah sure, but why?" The pink haired girl asked.
                          
"I have a date"
