Story Notes/headcannons

                                    

                                          
1). Beef and B are the foodies of the big family. 
Beef deals with meat and general cooking more, and B does sweets and comfort food more. 
If they were to run a business together it would be baller. 
                          
2). Mumbo has 49 siblings, not including him. 
So there are 50 children altogether and 3 others who married into the family. 
                          
3). Etho married Beef when he was 5. Jk, but Beef did propose to him with a lovely ring pop at 5, Etho had rejected him because he wanted cheerios and marshmallows. He did take the ring tho and they've been practically inseparable since then. 
They officially married when Beef had proposed a third time when they were 19. Etho hadn't rejected him that time. 
                          
4). Etho and Beef hadn't met Grian until he had gotten married to Mumbo, at the wedding. Grian seemed to know about them tho. 
                          
5). Mumbo's dad's name is Ender. 
                          
6). Xisuma has a skin condition called Ender Scales causing purple scales to form on his body. If you run your fingers across them in the wrong way he'll yelp in discomfort and it will scare the bejeebers out of you. 
                          
7). Xisuma doesn't actually need to wear his suit. For some with Ender Scales too much UV rays on the scales can make them become irritated and burn. But some, like X, aren't really affected by it. He just thinks it's comfortable and he gets self-conscious about it and likes to cover it up. 
                          
8). There is a 1/50 chance that a full human couple will have an ear and tailed baby. Hence why out of all 50 of their children only Ren is a werewolf. 
Netty is also in the category. 
                          
9). Werewolves and Ear and tailed babies aren't the same, though they are very similar. They have ears and tails, and they are usually very strong. 
Ear and Tailed babies are more prone to mental disorders, they are more like their domesticated counterparts whereas Werewolves are like their wild counterparts.
                          
10). Amezikia UHShe married Ender HermitCraft when she was 24 and he was 26. 
He had a thing for her since they first met but she had been dating Chief at that time. 
                          
11). Amezikia dated Cheif from 8th grade to 11th. She stopped dating him when he proclaimed that she was his and only his and that he'd kill anyone, even her family, if they touched her. He also was a huge bully, extremely narcissistic, believed he owned everything and everyone, and never paid for his actions. 
                          
12). Amezikia didn't hate the Evo children, she just hated what the name represented to her. He made her life a living h*ll and even attacked her for breaking things off with him. 
                          
13). Ren and Impulse are Irish Twins. Impulse is only 9 months older than Ren. 
                          
14). Ren has ADHD and is suuuuppppper energetic. 
                          
15). Ren had a white dog named Pamela. He still has her when Grian and Mumbo get married. However, Scar had dyed her fur patches of red for a prank and it never washed out so now Pam is a red and white dog that's over half Ren's height. Jevin said she kinda looks like a "Mooshroom" from a game he once played, he doesn't remember what the game was called though. 
                          
16). Ren and Stress are the shortest Hermitcrafters. Ren is still taller than Grian tho. 
                          
17). Both B and Taurtis were results of 2 different affairs from Watcher. She gains tons of money through child support and is a Lawer with a high salary. 
                          
18). Ender comes from a super-rich family, and for some reason gained a hefty inheritance from his grandfather. Both parents are alive though. 
He is also a cook at a local restaurant, he taught Beef how to cook. 
                          
19). Amezikia is a doctor, one of the only ones that can swap positions when absolutely needed to. She is paid a pretty high wage due to her flexibility, but it also means that she spends little time with her children. 
                          
20). Chief is the head of police seconded only by his son Martyn who gladly kicked him off his pedestal and took his place as chief when he kidnapped Grian and assaulted Mumbo, Wels, and Solidarity. 
Also comes from a super-rich family. 
                          
21). Chief doesn't like arresting his own kids. For the main reason that it could be documented with his last name and it'd be seen that he "did a bad job at parenting". This makes Zee's, Mini's, Salem's, and later even Pearl's underground market and mafia involvement exponentially easier. 
                          
22). Chief did take his spot as Chief of police back after only 5 years. 
Martyn "stepped down" due to constant threats, warnings, and even he, himself being kidnapped with his twin brother Zee for a day and a half. This incident wasn't reported even though it should have and Zee will now freely call him out on any bull-*** he pulls even if it benefits him. He's never believed though. 
                          
23). The first person Martyn ever dated was a guy (name not given), he thought of him as mainly a tool to discreetly not so discreetly rebel against his parents. But he treated the guy pretty well compared to how the guy treated him and his wishes. 
                          
24). Taurtis has been pining after Sam since he was 2. JUST KISS HIM ALREADY TAURTIS, YOU'RE MAKING EVERYONE OGGLE AND GAG!!
                          
25). Pearl is Ace. 
Grian doesn't know that, not until Taurtis casually brings it up years later. 
Neither does Netty, not until 3 years after seeing her again after 7 years. 
                          
26). Grian represents Taurtis with rituals and red flowers because they used to play a game they called "hell's flower". On a day where one of their parents was especially angry, they would check around the basement to check if they were close before grabbing as many fake flowers as they could from wherever the other had hidden them earlier before rushing back to hide in their room. Then they'd set them up in a circle and the one who collected the flowers would sit in the center of them while the other danced and sang circling them until they were both calmed down and laughing. 
Taurtis wouldn't remember this though. 
                          
27). Taurtis has an AWFUL awful memory!!! And very poor object permanence. If he doesn't see something for 4 months or longer he forgets it even exists, this includes siblings, parents, friends, or beloved toys or activities. 
                          
28). "I knew this b**** named Becky~ she liked to talk real sexy, that nasty b-"
"REN!"
"I had to tell her she gon' stop, cause everyone knows that she a th*t, f***ing nasty b****~"
"TANGO, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE 2 YEARS OLDER DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY BETTER!" 
                          
29). "WHO. THE F***. DYED. MY DOG. RED!" 
"Language Ren!" 
Laughter
"No you didn't..."
"Yes he did."
"Thanks Impulse. WHO. THE F***. DYED. MY F***ING DOG!" 
"....SCAR!"
Louder laughter. 
"THEN HE BEST BETTER LEARN HOW TO SKADOODLE SKADADLE!" 
                          
30). Taurtis went to Japan for Junior year and Pearl and Stress as well as a few other girls went to a school/camp thing for 8th grade. 
                          
31). Pearl became Stress' bodyguard from 8th grade to 12th grade. Then they didn't see each other again until their brothers' wedding.

32) the older Hermit siblings can't remember what their parent's touch feels like, they were always overlooked, overshadowed by their younger siblings. And they were ok with that, but occasionally, when things get rough, they like to curl up within a blanket or something that reminds them of home and pretend their being held by their mom or dad again. It usually has 3 effects, 1 it works, 2 it works at first until they start finding flaws in it and break down more when they can't quite recall all of the nooks and crevises of the hugs or the way their mom's head rested apon theirs, 3 they remember that they didn't really ever get that love and will ultimately break down even further. 
                          
33) if the Hermit parents were to unprompted hug all of their children, like properly hug all of their children, the younger ones would be confused maybe even annoyed, the middle ones would chuckle and hug back, the older ones would burst into tears and sink into the hug(they also probably wouldn't hug back, afraid they'd do it wrong however they would grasp tightly at their clothes in order to keep them there, in the hug, afraid that if they don't they'll leave)
