Hayley gives me a look and I know I'm probably going to be in trouble. She walks out of the room, and I follow her. Walking around the kids and up the stairs, we go to her room. We don't speak at all. She opens her door, and lets me in, shutting it behind me.
"Ok, before you yell, I didn't know how else to te-" She kisses me, surprising the hell out of me. "ll you." I mumble, finishing the sentence. She pulls away.
"You got Freya to bring my parents back when you could have brought your brother, Henrick, or your Dad, Ansel, back. Your friends. Ex-girlfriends, or lovers. And you picked my parents? Why?" I sigh and walk to her bed, sitting down on the edge of it.
"You have gone so long without having your parents. You finally start making a bond, then you get taken away again. I didn't want that. I wanted you to be able to see them any time you wanted, continuing to build that bond. And, Hope would also be able to have Grandparents who don't want to kill her." I say, and Hayley chuckles, sitting down next to me. She reaches towards me with her hands, moving my face to hers.
"Thank you. I can't even say how thankful I am. It's. It's the best thing ever. Apart from seeing Hope." She smiles at me, her eyes glazing over.
"It's my pleasure, Little Wolf. They are nice people. I like them a lot." I start telling her. She puts her finger on my lips, stopping me from talking again.
"Can we stop talking about my parents right now?" She asks me and I nod my head, raising my eyebrows slightly.
"Yeah. Why? Is something wrong?"
She leans up and kisses me again, wrapping her arms around my neck, pulling me closer. I put my left hand on her waist, while I put my right on her thigh, keeping her steady. I kiss her back, of course. We do this for a couple of minutes until she breaks the kiss, out of breath.
"Ok, we need to stop there. Especially with the kids downstairs and my parents." She stands up and I smirk, chuckling a little. She turns her head, looking at me. "What?"
"Sometimes, I expect it all to be a dream. You. Being like this. Being able to kiss you. And, some of the things you say and do surprise me. Like I don't expect you to be like that." She pulls a face, meaning that she doesn't know if I mean it as a good thing or a bad thing. I get up off the bed and stand in front of her, smiling. "It's a good thing. It makes me happy. Incredibly happy." I give her a quick peck on the lips and smile again.
"It makes me incredibly happy too that I am like this with you, and you are like this with me. I sometimes think it is a dream too, and I can't explain how good it feels when I know it is actually my life. But, I guess you know that feeling for yourself."
"Yes, I do." She kisses me again, this time, putting her arms around my waist. I put a hand on her arm, the other on her shoulder, kissing her deeper. I suddenly pull away and she looks confused. "Ok, we need to stop there. Especially with the kids downstairs and your parents." I say and walk around her, to the door. She hits me lightly, and I laugh.
"How dare you. You'll have to kiss me now to make up for that." She says, pretending to be hurt. I sigh and roll my eyes.
"I guess I can do that." I lean down a little and kiss her softly. Pulling away, a smile appears on her face. Word's can't describe how I feel when she smiles like that. She has no idea. She starts laughing quietly. "What?" I say, laughing a little too.
"You said that out loud. So now I know I make you feel a certain way when I smile like I just did." She says, leaning behind me and opening the door, pushing me backwards so I am now in the corridor. She smiles at me again as she shuts her door and walks past me, going down the stairs to her parents.
