Angel's Pov.

Today was the day. The day where Xander becomes a king and I a queen. The day of his coronation.

I was currently helping Mama with the final touches on the decorations while also freaking out because I still have nothing to wear. I need to find a dress and fast or else I'll be attending this coronation in my underwear and that is definitely not something I want to happen. Xander wasn't aloud to see me for the entire day because he needed to go over his responsibilities with Papa for tonight's proceedings.

"Ok Angel, I need you to take this over to Xander. It's his suit for the coronation." Mama said as he carefully handed me a black garment bag with the royal crest on it. I nodded before exiting the ballroom. I quickly made my way to Papa's office before knocking. I heard a light "come in" before I entered the office.

Xander was sitting in one the chairs by the desk while his father sat on the desk. Xander looked stressed so I gently laid the garment bag on the couch before walking up to him. I gently rubbed his shoulders as I leaned over the back of the chair and gave him some kisses on his cheek. He relaxed slightly which was reassuring to know that my actions were paying off.

"What's wrong pookie? Why do you look so stressed?" I asked as I ran my hand through his hair. He loves when I do that because it immediately relaxes him. He leaned into my touch with a satisfied sigh before looking up at me.

"I'm having trouble remembering my speech. I'm so nervous about tonight because I'm literally about to open a huge chapter in my life. What if I'm not a good king? What If I mess up? What if I disappointed the people, my parents you? I don't think I could handle that." He said with a defeated look. I simply smiled and stroked his hair back.

"Xander, I understand why you're nervous and that's ok. You're gonna make a great king and you're not perfect so of course you'll make mistakes and mess up and that's ok because that's just life. It's ok to feel like you're gonna disappoint people but know your pack is proud of you, your parents are proud of you, I'm so fucking proud of you. You've come a long way and I couldn't ask for a better mate. You're gonna start a new chapter but you're gonna start it with me. We're starting this new chapter together and that's what's most important. As long as we're together you'll be fine." I said and Xander looked at me with unmasked adoration.

"Remind me to thank your mom for making you my mate. This is one of the many reasons why I love you so much. You always know how to make me feel better. Thank you for that." He said with a greatful smile.

"You're welcome." I replied before I pecked his lips. I walked over to the couch and picked up the garment bag before handing it to Xander.

"You're mom told me to give this to you. I can't wait to see what it looks like but I have to finish helping you're mom so I'm gonna leave you fellas be. Bye pookie." I stated before pecking Xanders lips again.

"Bye baby. Oh! I almost forgot. I can't wait to see your dress. I bet it's undeniably beautiful." He said reminding me that I still didn't have a dress and I was running out of time.

"Oh it is. You'll love it." I said lying through my teeth as I quickly exited the room and dashed through the halls straight back to the ballroom. When I got to the ballroom doors Mama stopped me.

"Oh no you don't. No one is allowed to see inside until tonight. There's still 5 hours left so you can take that time to get yourself in order. Go out and do your hair and stuff to look gorgeous for my son. I'm gonna take a sweet nap." Mama said before strutting down the hallway. He didn't have to tell me twice because I was gonna use that time to get me the most spectacular dress ever. This should be a piece of cake.
