A/N:Hi guys! Thankyou so much for 15k! Also, if anyone has any ideas for chapters you would like to read, plz comment and I can see if they would work with the plot line. 😊

Your honeymoon had been amazing. You went to the Maldives for just under two weeks and only got back a couple days ago. It was strange being called (y/n) Reid instead of (y/n) Chapman and, even though you were twenty, it felt 'grown-up' calling Harrison your husband.

Today was your first day back at work and you couldn't wait. You always underestimated how much a part of your life your job was until you had time away from it. It was hard to think of it as a job when in reality it was like your family.

"Right guys, todays forecast is looking good so we can expect lots of people down here and maybe the odd sunstroke." Hoppo informed you all.

"I'm going to put the three Reids up north end and Maxi and Jesse down south end whilst Corey, Whippet and I stay on tower duty." He continued and you subconsciously spread a smile across your face.

"OK cool, come on newlyweds!" Reidy replied as he grabbed your's and Harrison's hands and began to drag you from the tower.

Timeskip:

Just like Hoppo had predicted, the beach was heaving and you had already made multiple trips to the Tower with cases of heatstroke by eleven.

As you were returning from you most recent patient delivery, you noticed some swimmers dragging a body out of the water. You, along with Harrison and Reidy, immediately sprinted towards them to assist in pulling the person onto the sand.

That was your least favorite part about life guarding. It only lasted a couple seconds but you hated the period in time in which you didn't know if the person was unconscious or clinically dead.

As soon as you were able to, you reached for the patients neck to check for a pulse. The second before you felt it seemed to last for hours but the important thing was that it came. It was weak and slightly irregular but you still able to sigh a sigh of relief.

"She's got a weak pulse and is breathing faintly, Harrison, call an ambulance. Did any see what happened?" Riedy questioned the crowd that surrounded you.

"I was standing near her and she dived under a wave and didn't comeback up so I went over to where she was and found her unconscious so I called some other guys to help pull her out." One of the men you had seen carry her from the water answered but as he talked, his voice seemed to rapidly change in volume.

Your implant had been acting up a bit recently so you booked an appointment to get it checked but you were sure it was fine.

"(y/n), can you.................." Reidy began to command until his voice was completely cut out along with everything else around you and didn't return.

Perhaps your implant wasn't fine.
